Ten days later, Eren brought his fledgling little empire to the walls of Yunkai. The city's walls, towers, and stepped pyramids were all built from yellow bricks, making it look like a city of gold from afar.
Eren rode a small Titan up to the walls. Seeing him approach alone on the five-meter Titan, the guards were a little alarmed. Then they glanced at the distant Dothraki cavalry and assumed he had come to negotiate or trade slaves. After all, the Dothraki often raided villages and sold their inhabitants into slavery.
"Hey, barbarian! What are you here for? And is that a giant?"
A guard shouted the questions at him.
But Eren could not understand a word the man was saying. Ignoring him, he bit his hand open. Lightning instantly struck, and a Titan around fifty meters tall appeared outside the walls. He had not used the Colossal Titan's nuclear blast during these recent transformations. After all, either allies had been nearby, or, as now, his main objective was plunder. If he blew everything up, what the hell would be left to loot?
The guards on the walls saw a man turn into a Titan. Most importantly, this Titan was taller than the walls themselves. At his feet, they looked like little earthen slopes he could simply step over. The people inside heard a thunderclap, then saw a Titan appear outside the city. For a moment, everyone in the city stared blankly at him.
Then came a tremendous boom. Those farther from the walls saw countless chunks of rubble hurtling into the city. Those nearby saw a huge foot blast the wall apart, before a surge of force struck them and sent them flying far away.
After destroying the wall with a single kick, Eren used his hardening ability to form a stone ball and hurled it at the tallest pyramid in the city center. With a tremendous boom, it smashed a huge hole in the pyramid. Rubble flew everywhere, but the structure had yet to collapse. Then Eren crouched in his Titan form and slapped away the remaining walls on either side, one section after another, leaving only shattered ruins. Finally, he let out a mighty roar.
Hearing the cry, the distant cavalry charged over with a chorus of whoops. Once inside the city, they cut down anyone they saw in the streets, ignoring those hiding in their houses. Right now, they wanted only to reach the slave masters' homes as quickly as possible. Whoever blocked their path in the streets was cut down without exception. Their king had ordered them to loot quickly, take their spoils, and leave.
Eren remained outside the city in his Titan form, watching and occasionally throwing stones at places where resistance was fierce. He intended to loot and leave, not because he feared reinforcements, but because killing all the reinforcements from Meereen and Astapor would make it very difficult for Slaver's Bay to develop again. Without armies to deter them, anyone could come and plunder Slaver's Bay. His plan to let it develop and then rob it again would fall through. After all, how could a place constantly being robbed develop? How could it possibly have money?
The cavalry scattered, charging into the slave masters' homes. Yunkai had two hundred thousand slaves at the start of the story, and its current numbers were probably about the same. There were certainly plenty of slave masters among its population. Robbing all of them would bring considerable wealth.
Corpses lay everywhere throughout the city, and screams rang out without end. Although Eren had told them not to rob commoners, he had never told them not to kill them. After all, if someone was too stupid to stay out of their way, there was nothing to be done. As long as people stayed inside their homes, the Dothraki could not be bothered to go looking for them. But if they appeared in the streets and blocked the way, curved blades had no eyes.
As for the slave masters, the cavalry stormed into their homes and began looting at will. They left alone slaves willing to surrender without resisting. But they showed no mercy to anyone holding a blade who still intended to fight. Their targets were only food, gold, and bed slaves. Naturally, they wanted only female bed slaves. Yes, there were male ones too; after all, male homosexuality was widespread in the world of Game of Thrones.
While looting freely, the cavalry also kept an eye out for the things Eren had ordered them to find. Interpreters were easy enough to find in the slave masters' homes. Maps required a thorough search, after which they had to be kept safe.
After all, paper was difficult to preserve; otherwise, it might end up being... by a Titan. When Yunkai's slave masters saw the Dothraki charging into their homes, they demanded answers, but the Dothraki would not listen to their blather. Their blades rose and fell, putting an immediate end to them.
As the sun sank, the whole city faded with it. What had begun in splendor now lay in shattered ruins. Horns sounded outside the city, and the Dothraki returned beyond the walls with their plunder.
Eren ended his Titan transformation and returned to his tent. Holding Sally in his arms, he began taking stock of the spoils. They had taken only enough food to feed the entire army for six months. After all, the weather in this part of Essos was hot, and larger quantities would be difficult to preserve. There were one million gold dragons, two thousand female bed slaves, and some of the slave masters' wives and children.
"Why are there so few gold dragons? Were you too quick to kill the slave masters? Didn't you question them about where they hid their treasures?"
Eren addressed the four commanders under him.
"My king, our troops took everything they could. As for what they had hidden, only a small number of spineless ones told us. Some of the others were cut down before they could speak, while some resisted to the bitter end, leaving us no choice but to kill them. We also found the maps and an interpreter you needed."
"Oh, bring the interpreter here, and bring the maps too. By the way, did you kill those spineless slave masters?"
Flock replied:
"No, my king. Would you like them brought in too?"
Eren nodded, and Flock went out to summon the interpreter first.
When the interpreter entered, Eren saw that she was a female slave who looked seventeen or eighteen, with black hair, a beautiful face, a voluptuous figure, and an ample bosom.
After looking at the female slave, Eren glanced at Flock, who had followed her inside, and saw him wink at him.
He understood at once. Flock certainly knew how to handle things. Eren thought:
He knows just what I like.
Then he told Flock, "Go pick out another five beautiful bed slaves for me later, and choose two for yourself. Collect a thousand gold dragons afterward. As for the remaining bed slaves, distribute them among the warriors who fought bravely and took the most heads. But remember, from now on, we are a nation. We can no longer be as barbaric as before. These bed slaves will be given to them, and though they won't be their wives, ownership of them remains with me. The warriors under us have no right to decide whether they live or die. Of course, as long as their lives aren't involved, I won't interfere. Finally, tell them to have more children. The more children they have, the greater their rewards."
After speaking, Eren waved a hand at Flock. Understanding, Flock went to fetch the spineless slave masters.
Then Eren looked at the female slave interpreter before him and asked:
"What's your name, and how many languages do you speak?"
"My lord, my name is Lydia. I speak Dothraki, the Common Tongue of Westeros, and Valyrian."
Hearing this, Eren thought that since she happened to speak the language of Westeros and Valyrian, he could learn from her in the future. After all, he could not rely on interpreters throughout the process of conquering the world. Of course, once it was united, he would make everyone use a single language and a single writing system.
