Gary sat down again and quickly wrote the letter of appointment for Hand of the King.
He left his seat, handed the letter of appointment to Tyrion himself, and said, "Have you forgotten? This is a favor I owe you. All debts must be paid, and it's not just Lannister."
Tyrion did not go to accept the letter of appointment, "Your Majesty can take me in at this time, which is already a return of the favor. I can't harm you, and your reputation will be harmed..."
Gary handed the letter of appointment to Tyrion and said seriously, "Tyrion, I need you."
He turned back to the desk and sorted the documents on the desk, "As you can see, I have no one available. There is no decent think tank around me. Fortunately, you are here."
Gary raised his head and stared at Tyrion with burning eyes, "So I need you to cheer up and prove to everyone that you are better than Tywin."
Tyrion was very moved. He held the letter of appointment and said in a hoarse voice, "Do you believe me?"
Gary continued to organize the files and said with a smile, "Oh, Tyrion, no one in this world trusts you more than me."
Tyrion couldn't help but have tears in his eyes, "Thank you, my friend."
Gary finished organizing the documents and asked formally, "Yes, we are friends. But I am not just your friend, Tyrion·Lannister, are you willing to swear allegiance to me?"
Tyrion put down the wine bottle and the letter of appointment, jumped down from the wooden chair, walked to Gary, and knelt down on one knee.
"My king."
Gary nodded and solemnly announced, "Tyrion·Lannister, I will appoint you as Hand of the King. May your Hand of the King throne always remain under the throne."
Hand of the King?
Before Tyrion had time to check the letter of appointment, he had no idea that King in the North valued him so much that he actually gave him the position of Hand of the King.
He had a bad reputation and instinctively refused, "Your Majesty, this position is too..."
Gary interrupted him, "I trust you."
Tyrion lowered his head and quietly wiped away his tears, "As you command, Your Majesty. I swear in the name of Seven to be loyal to King in the North Luke·Stark. I will do my best and never abandon you."
Gary motioned Tyrion to stand up, "I accept your oath."
He teased, "Tyrion, I remember you don't have much respect for Seven?"
Tyrion returned to his seat and solemnly took back the letter of appointment. Hearing Gary's teasing, he laughed dryly and said, "Your Majesty, this does not prevent me from abiding by my sacred oath."
Gary waved his hand and explained, "You misunderstood, I am not doubting your oath. From now on, there will only be one god in my land, Supreme God Gary. What I mean is that you have to change your name to a different god."
Supreme God? The North Isn't it belief in Old Gods?
Tyrion didn't dwell too much on it. Anyway, he wasn't too interested in faith. "Do you need me to take another vow in the name of Supreme God?"
Gary stood up and walked to the side of the desk, calling to Tyrion, "No need, I believe you will abide by your oath. Come, sit down in my seat."
He pointed to the piles of documents on the desk, "Here are all the secrets about the North. You should get a general idea first, and then you can plan a suitable development direction for me."
Tyrion sat down at the desk very cautiously, "Your Majesty is right, I really should know about the North's situation."
Gary walked to the door of the study room and opened the door. "Look slowly, I will go down and use some scraps to make you a Hand of the King badge."
After saying that, he walked out of the study.
Scraps?
Tyrion wants to call out Gary. As Hand of the King of the North, he represents the face of the North. It would be ridiculous to use scraps of discarded iron to create a badge.
At least, it has to be made of silver like Eddard·Stark did back then, right?
The North, Moat Cailin.
Sandor and his party rested here for a few days. After Brienne's injuries stabilized, they continued on their way.
Along the way, the the North people who had previously hid in deep mountains and dense forests to avoid the scourge of war returned to their original homes one after another.
However, the crops that were too late to be harvested had already rotted in the fields, and the people who had lost their food sources became refugees. They marched towards Winterfell in order to have a chance of survival.
Sandor and others couldn't help but cheer up when they saw so many refugees suddenly appearing.
When the refugees saw Sandor hanging the wolf flag of House Stark, they all came over to ask for help.
Jenny distributed food to the hungry children, but it was only a drop in the bucket and could not solve the fundamental problem.
She had no choice but to appeal to everyone to ask the refugees to rush to Winterfell as soon as possible, where there would be sufficient food...
Winterfell.
Tyrion spent three days and finally figured out the current situation of the North. He wrote down some preliminary plans and wanted to discuss them with Gary.
He found the Ice warrior at the door of the study and asked him to take him to Gary.
But Ice warrior refused, "Lord Hand, Your Majesty is at the forging furnace. We are not allowed to disturb you without His Majesty's order."
Tyrion asked in surprise, "Your Majesty personally forged your weapons? Winterfell didn't the Smith?"
Ice The warrior shook his head, "Winterfell Yes the Smith, Your Majesty... Your Majesty's situation is very special. Lord Hand It's better to ask Your Majesty in person."
Tyrion was helpless. He temporarily put down his work and went downstairs to learn about the terrain of Winterfell. He also took a look at Dragon and Giants.
It wasn't until dinner that Tyrion saw Gary.
"Your Majesty."
Gary called Tyrion to sit down, then took out a badge and threw it to Tyrion.
Tyrion caught the badge and sat down at the end of the table respectfully. He felt that the material of the badge in his hand was a little strange, as if... No, this is Valyrian steel!
"Your Majesty, this is Valyrian steel? I remember that the item you used to pay for 200,000 Gold Dragon was also Valyrian steel. Is it true that you dug a treasure in the ruins of Valyria as rumored? Did you get both Dragon Egg and Valyrian steel?"
Gary thought for a while, nodded and said, "That's right. I have obtained the Magic process for forging Valyrian steel, and I can continuously produce Valyrian steel."
Tyrion knocked over the wine glass and spilled the fruit wine on his clothes. But he ignored it and exclaimed, "Your Majesty, if I heard correctly, you are not reinventing Valyrian steel, but creating a new Valyrian steel?"
Gary believed in Tyrion's character and treated him as one of his own, so he did not hide it, "Yes, I can forge a new Valyrian steel."
Tyrion let the wine seep into his clothes, raised his hand and shouted, "Your Majesty, Valyrian steel represents endless wealth, which is more precious than gold! With this wealth, you have countless armies... Wait, why are you so calm?"
Gary smiled bitterly, and he reminded Tyrion, "Valyrian steel's forging process is extremely complicated, and it requires the use of Magic's power. So it must be done by me. Forging it myself, there is no way to produce it on a large scale. Making Valyrian steel plate armor for Giantss is already the limit of what I can do, and I have no energy left to forge more Valyrian steel in exchange for wealth."
