Arc 1The Brave Companions’ Fall
Vito Corleone used his medical skill and calculated alliances to survive the Brave Companions’ revolt and bring Jaime Lannister and Brienne to Harrenhal. He secured Roose Bolton’s attention and a route toward King’s Landing, but Brienne left under guard, while Vito began training for the dangers ahead.
- Corleone woke bound in an apple tree, discovered his system and its Fate’s Gambit skill, then offered to treat Vargo Hoat’s infected ear to avoid being killed.
- After operating on Vargo, Corleone gained Urswyck’s trust by killing Derek and proposed helping him take power, then secretly tried to recruit Yego as Vargo’s illness worsened.
- Vargo’s faction and Urswyck’s faction turned on each other at the camp, and Jaime and Brienne joined the fighting as Vargo killed Urswyck and Jaime killed Vargo.
- Corleone treated Jaime’s wrist, and Jaime introduced himself as Jaime Lannister of the Kingsguard before trusting Corleone’s plan to reach King’s Landing through Harrenhal.
- Corleone negotiated with Roose Bolton, offering the destruction of the Brave Companions and discussing the North’s weakening position in exchange for safe passage for himself and Jaime.
- Roose demanded Brienne remain at Harrenhal as a guarantee, and Corleone accepted, and Jaime restrained himself as Brienne was taken away and accused Corleone of betraying her.
- Corleone proposed starving and demoralizing the Ironborn at Moat Cailin through encirclement, songs, and contaminated supplies, impressing Roose and appalling Jaime.
- Roose offered Corleone rewards for his service, but Corleone asked for a hot bath, then trained with Yego and received swordsmanship advice from Brienne.
