Viserys fainted for a long time.
The doctor came and went, came and bled him, gave him medicine, applied mint ointment to his philtrum, and even burned the soles of his feet with a red-hot iron - it was an ancient method of treating fainting, and it was said that it could awaken comatose patients through severe pain.
Viserys twitched violently when the soldering iron touched the sole of his foot, and let out an indistinct groan, but his eyes were still closed tightly and he did not wake up.
He later opened his eyes the next morning. He was lying in his palace, surrounded by Small Council ministers and bachelors.
His complexion was still very poor, his lips were chapped, his eye sockets were sunken, and he looked as if he had aged ten years.
His eyes swept over the concerned faces one by one, and finally landed on the mural on the ceiling depicting House Targaryen conquering Seven Kingdoms.
"Daemon--" His voice was so hoarse that it was almost inaudible, "Where is his arm? Where is his tongue? He--"
No one can answer him. No one dares to answer him.
Viserys closed his eyes, and two lines of turbid tears slipped from the corners of his eyes, flowed over his pale cheeks, and dripped on the pillow.
His lips were trembling, and he kept repeating the same word: "Why--why--"
No one can answer this question. Because the answer is too cruel, so cruel that speaking out will completely collapse the already exhausted king.
On Dragonstone, King Ghidorah is enjoying its dinner.
The bodies of the two dragons - Bloodworm and Nu Tao - were transported back to Dragonstone from the Lys port.
It was a long voyage, and the bodies of the two Dragon were so big that several ships were needed to haul them.
In order to avoid unnecessary panic among residents along the way after seeing the corpses, Redd had people cover the corpses with thick tarpaulins, which were not uncovered until they were about to reach the shore.
The body of Bloodworm was dragged onto the beach of Dragonstone. The dark red scales reflected a dim blood-colored luster in the setting sun. The eye socket pierced by Ice Spear had dried up. The eyeball fell out at some point, leaving only a dark hole.
Nu Tao's body was even worse. Its head was torn off from its neck by King Ghidorah. It was placed next to its body. There was still dried dark blue blood on the beach between the two, as if someone had drawn an irregular line on the sand with a huge brush.
King Ghidorah walked out of the castle courtyard, three heads raised at the same time, and six golden eyes lit up when they saw the two corpses of Dragon.
It was the kind of light a hunter would have when he saw his prey, greedy, excited, with an almost instinctive, primitive desire.
Its pace quickened, from walking to trotting, and from trotting to running wildly. When its ton-heavy body ran on the beach, the entire ground of Dragonstone was shaking slightly.
It pounced on Bloodworm's body, the middle head was the first to bite, and tore off a large piece of flesh from Bloodworm's abdomen. The golden scales were covered with dark red blood, shining with a strange luster in the sunset.
Not to be outdone, the two heads on the left and right bit at the corpse of Nu Tao at the same time, opened their bows on the left and right, and tore a huge hole in the blue-green Dragon's chest, revealing the heart that had stopped beating and the rotting internal organs inside.
Redd stood on the wall of the castle, folding his arms and watching King Ghidorah feasting on the beach.
The sea breeze blew from the east, bringing to his ears the dull sound of King Ghidorah chewing, like a boulder rolling down.
The sound echoed in the empty night sky, like a rough, primitive symphony belonging to a predator at the top of the food chain.
"Your Highness," Jason stood behind him, with a hint of hesitation in his voice, "Would you like to keep some of the body of Bloodworm? For example, send it back to King's Landing and let the people of House Targaryen take a look--"
"What are you looking at?" Redd asked without looking back.
Jason thought about his words: "See, Dragon is not invincible. Look, their dragons can die, be torn apart, and become someone else's meal."
Redd was silent for a moment, the corners of his mouth raised slightly, revealing a faint smile.
"No need." He said, his voice as calm as if he was talking about a trivial matter, "Daemon's mummies are enough for them.
If you send another dragon's body over, Viserys won't be able to faint - he might just die."
Jason thought about it for a while and felt that what His Highness said made sense, so he stopped mentioning it.
King Ghidorah was eating happily on the beach. It started eating Bloodworm's body from the head, bite by bite, as if eating a huge meat skewer.
The scales were chewed up by it, the bones were bitten off by it, and the internal organs were sucked into the throat by it. Even the skin, flesh and bones were not wasted at all.
After eating the angry waves' chest, the two heads on the left and right began to compete for the heart that had stopped beating.
The heart was as huge as a carriage wheel, and its surface was covered with a layer of dark blue blood vessels that were still glowing slightly. King Ghidorah's two heads each bit one end of the heart, tearing and fighting for each other, neither letting the other.
In the end, the middle head swallowed the whole heart in one mouthful, and the two heads on the left and right let out a dissatisfied neigh at the same time, like two children who had been robbed of candy.
In less than two hours, the two bodies of Dragon disappeared from the beach.
Not a single wreckage was left, not a scale was left, not a bone was left.
King Ghidorah ate them clean, and even the blood that fell on the sand was licked clean by its tongue, leaving only a beach that was pitted, soaked in blood, and still smoking.
After King Ghidorah had eaten his fill, he lay down on the beach contentedly, with his three heads drooped, his eyes half-closed and half-opened, and a low, thunderous snore coming from his mouth.
Its belly is bulging, and from the side it looks like a beached, golden ship with three heads.
Redd walked down from the city wall, walked to the beach, and walked to King Ghidorah.
He reached out and patted the bridge of the nose of the head in the middle. The head was slightly raised, his figure reflected in the golden eyes, and it let out a low, satisfied and lazy whine.
"Have you eaten enough?" Redd's tone contained a rare hint of something that could almost be called gentleness.
King Ghidorah The head in the middle rubbed against the palm of his hand, and the two heads on the left and right followed suit. The three heads rushed to rub against his palm. The scene looked like a huge, golden cat that had been touched by its owner.
