He decided to give it a try and see whether he could turn off the annoying notification sound.
After some fumbling, Redd finally managed to turn it off.
By then, Redd had calmed down a little, and he began watching the fierce melee below.
Though he had originally been terrified of these horrifying creatures, he was no longer afraid. He even cheered them on enthusiastically, silently praying that they would all die.
Time ticked by, and the heart-stopping battle finally came to an end.
In the end, the Green Poison Ants in the jungle emerged victorious.
However, the Green Poison Ants seemed wary of the Dragon Might emanating from Redd. Rather than approach him, they worked in groups to drag away all the deformed creatures' corpses beneath the tree, along with those of their dead kin.
As calm returned beneath the tree, Redd felt as though he had survived a disaster.
He let out a long sigh of relief, then checked King Ghidorah's hatching progress again.
To his surprise, it had already reached 11.7%!
Although his gains this time could be called enormous, Redd had no desire to go through anything like that again.
Only after another half hour or so, once he had confirmed there was no danger nearby, did Redd carefully climb down from the tree.
After enduring a life-and-death ordeal, Redd had finally been lucky enough to escape with his life.
He knew this forest was full of unknown dangers, so he decided that until he left it, he would always rest up in a large tree to ensure his safety.
He made his way through the jungle with difficulty, every step cautious and alert.
Yet as he walked, he suddenly felt that his body seemed much lighter and that he was considerably stronger than before.
Somewhat surprised, he stopped and checked his Personal Panel.
Name: Redd; Sex: Male; Age: Eleven; Bloodline talents: Old Valyria Dragon King bloodline, Dragonrider; Dragon King's Aura.
But he found that nothing on it had changed.
Redd could not help wondering whether it was merely his imagination. After all, anything could happen in this mysterious forest.
Still, he did not dwell on it and instead continued focusing on moving forward.
And so Redd kept traveling through the forest for an entire week.
During that time, he encountered no more of those terrifying deformed creatures, which brought him some relief.
Even so, he dared not let his guard down and insisted on sleeping in a tree every night, just in case.
Finally, on the ninth day, Redd made it out of the forest.
He felt as though a weight had been lifted from his shoulders, but he also understood that he still had a long way to go.
To pinpoint the location of the Broken Volcano, where the dragon's lair lay, Redd found another tall mountain and climbed to its summit.
Standing on the peak, he gazed into the distance and finally found the direction.
With his destination confirmed, Redd set off again without hesitation.
However, the hardships along the way far exceeded his expectations.
Although the volcano had seemed within reach from the mountaintop, appearances were deceptive: even after two full months, he still had not reached its foot.
During this long journey, Redd also had the good fortune to come across a dragon's remains.
After the system absorbed the magical energy in the dragon bones, he did not rush to leave as he had last time.
He decided to linger and rest for a while, and something he had not expected happened.
Before long, the dragon bones crumbled into ash and dispersed, and a huge number of deformed creatures suddenly surged out of the ground.
Their hideous faces sent a chill down the spine.
Redd was stunned by the sight. He had never imagined that so much danger lurked in this seemingly peaceful place.
The sudden appearance of hordes of deformed monsters frightened Redd so badly that his heart nearly stopped.
His eyes widened as he stared at the hideous, strangely shaped creatures, finally understanding what had been behind those earlier odd occurrences.
Countless thoughts flashed through Redd's mind, but his body reacted faster than he could think-he broke into a desperate sprint!
This time, he was running not through dense forest, but across a barren stretch of flat ground.
Without trees blocking his way, Redd was noticeably just a little faster than the deformed monsters.
He ran with all his strength, not daring to pause for even a moment for fear that the monsters behind him would catch up.
Yet these deformed creatures were exceptionally good at tracking him. No matter how Redd ran, they stayed close behind, refusing to let him go.
After a long chase, Redd finally spotted a narrow cave.
He rushed inside without hesitation, hoping to escape those terrifying monsters for the time being.
Once inside, Redd immediately blocked the entrance with rocks, then leaned against the stone wall, panting heavily.
His body was utterly exhausted, but he knew that as long as those monsters remained outside, he could not rest.
And so Redd remained locked in a standoff with the deformed monsters inside the cave for a full day and night.
Whenever he grew tired, he would lean against the cave entrance and rest for a while. Once he had recovered some strength, he would resume his fierce battle with the monsters.
After a long, grueling fight, Redd finally killed every last one of the deformed creatures.
Although his hatching progress had risen substantially again, reaching 27.1%, he was also utterly worn out, nearly on the verge of collapse.
For the rest of the journey, whenever Redd saw white bones, large or small, he would take a detour without hesitation.
Those deformed monsters had truly terrified him, and he never wanted to experience such a horrifying scene again.
After a month of arduous travel, Redd finally reached the foot of the Broken Volcano. When he saw the volcano towering into the clouds, his excitement was almost beyond words.
He nearly covered his face and burst into tears. Three months of tense, hurried travel had almost pushed him past his limits.
But now, he had finally reached his destination. None of his hardships had been in vain.
Redd took a deep breath, trying to calm himself.
He gazed at the volcano towering into the clouds before him, and a sense of awe welled up within him.
The volcano resembled a colossal beast of the earth, spewing billowing smoke and radiating scorching heat.
Gripping the rocks tightly, Redd carefully began to climb.
Every step was especially cautious, for the volcano's surface was rugged and uneven, and the slightest misstep could send him sliding down.
Yet to his surprise, before long, he actually discovered some steps.
