Before anyone could recover, Wilton gripped his dumbbell and spun in place. In an instant, two AoE circular slashing shockwaves swept through the air, expanding outward in every direction with no blind spots.

Alvida and Bartholomew both dropped to the ground, feeling a chill pass over their heads.

Buggy panted heavily after his narrow escape. His Chop-Chop body had recovered, and he wore a smug, triumphant grin. He had nearly been scared to death by that Marine just now.

Alvida had initially been excited as well, but her expression quickly turned tense. From her angle, she could see that the bullet had not pierced through the Marine's head.

Bartholomew was like a turtle hiding in its shell, repeatedly and brutally knocked away by Wilton until he drew closer and closer to the sea.
Wilton's intentions were already obvious. He planned to push Bartholomew all the way into the ocean. Any Devil Fruit User was basically finished once they fell into the sea.
"You want to push me into the sea."
Bartholomew realized it as well. Looking at the sea not far behind him, his whole expression turned awful.
No wonder this huge Marine had been so stubborn. He knew he could not break the barrier, yet he kept attacking. So he had been trying to push him into the sea all along. If Wilton succeeded, he would be finished for sure.
