• An Le and Tong Yingying pursued Ye Shiyu after she stole Yan Huan’s body, while Hitomi Sakuramiya stayed behind to conceal the cremation chamber.
• Ye Shiyu returned to the Funeral Home carrying Yan Huan’s corpse, then hid in the tool room after frightening Hitomi Sakuramiya with a burst of purple light.
• Hitomi Sakuramiya blocked An Le and Tong Yingying from entering the tool room and summoned Little Finger to ask whether Ye Shiyu’s Index Finger could be intelligent.
• Little Finger explained that Index Finger might have unusual evolutionary branches, while Hitomi Sakuramiya argued that Ye Shiyu might not be responsible for the accident that killed Yan Huan.
• Aria Spencer arrived at Yan Huan’s memorial and realized that Ye Shiyu had impersonated him and concealed his pleas for help; her phone exploded as a powerful transformation began.

After the Modifier was dealt with, Yan Huan and Ye Shiyu were stranded together at the deserted hotel, where he prepared to leave her behind. Ye Shiyu overcame her fear of speaking without hypnosis, confessed her feelings through one final command, and reunited with Yan Huan, who carried her into the hotel.
