"You're here?"
The strange Servant stood in the darkness. Upon seeing Mo Ling, he stiffly asked the question as if he already knew him.
The sudden voice startled Mo Ling. The surroundings were pitch-black, and the Servant standing there so rigidly was genuinely rather frightening.
Mo Ling did not answer. He looked the Servant over. Like the Servants he had encountered before, this one had the same appearance, but after watching him for a while, Mo Ling noticed something unusual:
"There's no symbol on his forehead?"
The Servants he had met before all had symbols on their foreheads. Those symbols distinguished them from real humans, but the one before him had nothing at all on his forehead.
"Who are you?" Mo Ling looked at the Servant and asked directly.
"I'm a robot. I don't have a name."
"..."
The answer left Mo Ling completely stunned.
That self-aware?
Mo Ling had assumed this Servant would give a code name like his other colleagues, yet he had directly admitted that he was a robot and said he had no name...
"Then what should I call you?" After thinking for a moment, Mo Ling continued asking.
"Call me Instructor. That's what they all call me."
"Instructor?! You're the Servants' instructor?" Mo Ling asked in surprise upon hearing the answer.
"Yes, I used to be. But I'm not anymore. They don't need me now. I've already taught them everything that needed to be taught," the Instructor said calmly.
"Why are you here?" Mo Ling was filled with shock.
"I escaped."
"From where?"
"From... the place where we were made."
The Instructor raised his hand and pointed behind him.
Mo Ling looked in the direction he pointed and saw nothing but darkness.
"The place where you were made? Some kind of robot manufacturing workshop?"
"Yes.
