Background / History

Li Luo was raised during an era of intensive Abyss exploration. As a child, she built block structures with her parents, recreating Abyss scenes while learning its zones and rules from the information around her. Her mother had access to additional channels of Abyss knowledge, while her father shared professional knowledge that Li Luo initially struggled to understand. These childhood games later become central to her ability to manipulate the Building Block World 1183.

She signed up to enter the Abyss as soon as she was old enough and pursued the Abyss Bottom with unusual single-mindedness. Lin Nian describes her as stubborn and unable to wait, while Li Luo herself simply states that she needs to reach the bottom 305. At the First Layer, she immediately begins seeking a route to the Second Layer, accepting a dangerous Shock Beast investigation mission alone despite its recommended team size 6.

Her past is fragmented. A worn Black Nameplate found around her neck contains childhood memories she does not remember, including scenes involving her parents 343. Later, her memories resurface more forcefully in the Building Block World, where she is called toward the Abyss Bottom to find her “original self” 1183 1186.

Li Luo is initially presented as a young human woman who wears a combat uniform while traveling through the Abyss. Extended travel leaves her visibly tanned, prompting concern from Lin Nian 305.

After the Building Block World collapses, her appearance changes dramatically into an otherworldly form 1186.

She is notably candid about her limitations. When mocked for being weak, she calmly agrees rather than defending herself: she acknowledges that she is weak, then continues moving forward 436. This practicality also shapes her combat decisions; when overwhelmed by Sky Soldiers, she prioritizes escape over a prolonged fight 929.

Despite her detached exterior, Li Luo is caring and emotionally affected by partings. She accepts Li Xiangyi’s protection, worries about Zhou Chao bearing the Holy Sword’s price, and quietly struggles with leaving the Healers and the people she has met 210 464 600. When overwhelmed, however, she tends to bury her emotions behind an unreadable expression and withdraw from others rather than confront what she feels 1184.

Li Luo is highly curious and analytical. She investigates Relics, dreams, dimensions, the Hotel’s records, and apparent links between different worlds.
