The Fire Seed did not really understand its master, Prometheus.
After it was given to humanity, Prometheus left.
The Fire Seed taught humans hand in hand how to kindle the first spark, raise the first bonfire, witness the arrival of light for the first time, and feel the warmth of flame for the first time.
Those young humans gathered in a circle inside their caves, trembling as they watched the fire burn brighter and brighter. They wanted to touch it, but the heat frightened them, sending them scurrying away.
After that, they gradually learned how close they could get to flames, how to prevent fires, what could be burned and what could not, what could make flames larger, and what could extinguish them.
From fearing fire, to facing it, to accepting it and relying on it, the Fire Seed remained at humanity's side, guiding and assisting them.
It could be said that the Fire Seed had led humanity down the civilizational path of "burn everything once and see what happens."
Leaves—burn them once, and they were gone.
Soil—burn it once, and it hardened.
Water—burn it once, and the fire went out, while the water was gone too.
Stones—burn them once. Useless.
Food—burn it once. Delicious.
A sleeping companion—burn them once. Dead...
Playing with fire became an instinct etched into humanity's genes. Curiosity drove them to burn everything with flames. They gradually learned what could be burned and what could not, and little by little, they burned their own civilization into existence.
Throughout this process, Prometheus had never been there.
"It was I who guided them..."
The Fire Seed had always watched over humanity, preventing them from taking the wrong path.
It resolutely carried out Prometheus's orders, keeping darkness from approaching.
Under its guidance, humanity invented all kinds of lighting tools.
