It felt as though he had been falling continuously, with the Cube wrapped around him as it descended.
Bubbles filled the sea, brushing past Mo Ling's body and rolling upward. He could feel them caressing his skin. Some burst on the surface with soft popping sounds, while others rolled gently over him like feathers brushing against his skin, making him itch.
Why could he still feel those bubbles when he was clearly wrapped inside the Cube?
Mo Ling was puzzled, but the moment he began to think, the icy seawater washed his thoughts away.
Black currents carried him drifting aimlessly. There was only the sound of bubbles and seawater around him, utterly tranquil. Mo Ling hovered between sleep and wakefulness, enjoying this long-lost peace.
