"So that's why I asked whether you could spread your ripples into places you couldn't see. If you can, then you can learn it."
"As long as you spread your ripples inside the Celestial Soldiers and let air naturally flow in to touch the lasers inside, the Celestial Soldiers will die on their own."
"If you can't do that, then this move naturally isn't suitable for you. Do you understand?"
Mo Ling carefully explained it to Xiao Kong. Xiao Kong's face showed sudden understanding, but before long, that expression turned to disappointment.
"I can't do it. I can't use my ability anywhere I can't see."
Hearing Xiao Kong's dejected words, Mo Ling shook his head.
"Don't give up so quickly. Practice some more. Maybe you'll be able to do it."
Mo Ling was not making empty claims. At least, that was how it worked in the X-Men—train enough, and abilities would improve...
Seeing that Xiao Kong still looked gloomy, Mo Ling patted him on the shoulder.
"Stop overthinking it."
"Okay."
The boy nodded and pulled himself together again.
"Keep going?"
"Yeah."
After getting a response, Mo Ling flew into the sky again. He had a feeling that they were not far from the very center of the city...
Sure enough, after flying some distance farther, Mo Ling spotted a strange barrier at the edge of his vision.
The barrier was hemispherical, enclosing a vast park within the city. Its surface was covered in orderly hexagons like a beehive, and the entire barrier glowed faintly yellow. He could not see what was inside, but Mo Ling's vision still passed through it without obstruction.
The moment his vision entered the barrier, Mo Ling froze. He had expected to see the long-awaited battle scene, but instead, he saw a stretch of golden yellow.
