With Larvitar out of danger, the group debated where Tyranitar, Pupitar, and Larvitar could live, while Fang Yan refused to take them to Twinleaf Town.

  • Fang Yan defeated Cofagrigus and met Tyranitar, who had brought her children to the cave after Cofagrigus promised to find medicine for Larvitar.

  • Cynthia arrived and teased Fang Yan about miniskirts, while Garchomp chased Gengar through the backyard after Gengar took the blame for his comments.
  • Fang Yan explained that the exam rejected his practical answers as too idealized, and Cynthia told him that breeder exams relied on standardized answers; Fang Yan decided not to retake it and to stay a junior breeder.
  • Cynthia hugged and kissed Fang Yan goodbye before leaving for the Unova Region, and Fang Yan promised Gengar two hundred roasted sweet potatoes for taking the blame.

  • Fang Yan gathered his Pokémon and agreed to bring Nurse Joy and medicine to Ridge Town, where people had been poisoned and developed fevers.

  • Fang Yan arrived, tried to leave, and then agreed to help after Twinleaf Town's Officer Jenny begged him to stay.
  • Fang Yan warned the officers to keep residents indoors, had Roserade use Aromatherapy, and assigned his Pokémon to contain and manage the Pokémon while Gothitelle prepared remedies.

Ch. 444Your Uncle Giratina was the most principled Pokémon of all.

Fang Yan used Gengar, Gothitelle, and a reluctant Giratina to move Ridge Town’s garbage mountain through the Distortion World so it could be hauled away and burned. After the cleanup, Officer Jenny prepared to investigate why the garbage had appeared in Lian Town and caused poisoning.

  • Gengar gathered the Muk, Grimer, Weezing, and Koffing, then used Dark Void to put them to sleep despite the stench.
  • Fang Yan tried to send the garbage through the Distortion World, but Giratina refused until Fang Yan negotiated ten months of food and visits from the Pokémon Day Care’s little ones.
  • Gengar’s Dark Void caused garbage to fall back out, so Fang Yan entered the Distortion World and persuaded Giratina to allow the garbage through if its smell was contained.
  • Gothitelle enclosed the garbage mountain in a purple bubble, and Ninetales carried it through the Distortion Passage to the wilderness near the waiting garbage trucks.
  • The garbage trucks hauled the mountain away to be burned at a power plant, and Officer Jenny thanked Fang Yan before preparing to investigate the garbage’s appearance and the resulting illnesses.

Ch. 445Who was being targeted? So hard to guess...

Fang Yan learned that Vespiquen’s new Gracidea Honey had powerful friendship and battle effects, then realized he had forgotten Gengar in Ridge Town. He returned to find Gengar sulking, and spent the evening trying to coax it into coming home.

  • Vespiquen helped Fang Yan transplant Gracidea flowers, then brought him jars of Honey made from their nectar.
  • Fang Yan read that the Honey could rapidly raise a Pokémon’s friendship and temporarily grant powerful effects against Ghost- and Poison-type Pokémon, apparently targeting Gengar.
  • Fang Yan realized he had left Gengar in Ridge Town after assigning it to help Officer Jenny calm the Muk and Weezing.
  • Fang Yan returned through the Distortion Passage and found Gengar sulking after waiting for him; Officer Jenny explained that Gengar had refused to leave without him.

  • Officer Jenny explained that Ridge Town’s unmanaged marathon crowds had left piles of garbage that attracted Muk and Weezing, contaminating the town and surrounding wilderness.
  • Fang Yan suggested that Lilligant use her forest-given powers to restore the damaged land, and Lilligant agreed to try.
  • Lilligant purified corroded soil around Ridge Town and cleared its foul odors, impressing the local Officer Jenny.

Ch. 447What did Unova's problems have to do with me in Sinnoh?

  • Fang Yan spotted scarlet eyes in the clouds behind Ash and Pikachu, suspected Zekrom had appeared, and decided to leave Unova’s problems to Ash.
  • Giovanni ordered the Team Rocket Trio to infiltrate Unova, while he planned to use their actions to confront Team Plasma.
  • Diantha joined Fang Yan for lunch, praised his Ever-Changing Gengar script idea, and sent him a link to expensive filming equipment before leaving to watch Mime Jr.
  • Fang Yan decided to buy cheaper filming equipment and persuaded Gengar to help test whether Dali could hit him with Fighting-type moves.
  • Fang Yan secretly gave Dali Gracidea flower Honey, and Dali’s Dynamic Punch hit Gengar despite his Ghost typing.
  • Fang Yan’s promises of buns, a massage, and bug-related pampering sent Gengar fleeing from Vespiquen, who pursued him with Fell Stinger and drove him into a hive before Combee chased him out.
