Fang Yan visited Grandma Xingzi’s birthday gathering, learned that nearby villages lacked workers and Pokémon to manage their farmland, and began considering ways his Pokémon Day Care could help. After rescuing a girl’s Sewaddle from Beedrill, he returned to Twinleaf Town with Grandpa Muzhi and Grandma Muzhi, while Manaphy traveled toward Sinnoh.

• Fang Yan gave Grandma Xingzi a cake made by Gengar and learned that Grandpa Muzhi’s improved health came from Fang Yan’s herbal medicine and food therapy.
• Fang Yan explored several villages and learned that their abandoned farmland resulted from a shortage of workers and helpful Pokémon, so he considered offering Pokémon to clear fields and control pests.
• Fang Yan spotted a huge Pokémon in the distant sea and asked Latias to watch the waters, while Gengar revealed that its extradimensional stomach let it eat without gaining weight.
