After watching his Shadow Clone enter the casino with his entire fortune, Nobuhiko returned to the inn alone.
Sitting on the so-called tatami, Nobuhiko found it a little hard on his butt.
But it didn't matter. He would probably spend the next few years sitting on the floor and living like this anyway.
With a touch of melancholy, Nobuhiko opened a ninjutsu scroll.
Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere.
A B-rank wind release ninjutsu.
The user took a deep breath and spat out several waves of wind release light to attack enemies, scattering them in different directions.
This ninjutsu fired the chakra accumulated in the user's mouth like bullets as they exhaled. The technique allowed the user to spit out short breaths in succession, firing nonstop like a machine gun.
Due to the technique's characteristics, the shock waves it fired could pierce an opponent's flesh, turning them into a honeycomb.
The hand seals were Rat-Rabbit-Dog.
Nobuhiko remembered that this ninjutsu was one of the two wind release ninjutsu that old bastard Danzo excelled at. Its attacks were fast and powerful; even Uchiha Sasuke had nearly had his face ruined by it!
He would learn this ninjutsu first.
Those A-rank and S-rank water release ninjutsu weren't things he could learn at his current level anyway. He would learn these few B-rank wind release ninjutsu first and worry about the rest later.
Nobuhiko formed hand seals and created a Shadow Clone.
He handed the Vacuum Sphere scroll to the Shadow Clone and had him study it off to the side, while he took out the scroll containing the Memory Seal Jutsu.
This Memory Seal Jutsu was good stuff.
Across the entire Naruto world, the Memory Seal Jutsu was an extremely unusual sealing jutsu. Not only could it seal an enemy's chakra, it could also affect or erase memories, allowing control of the situation on a deeper level.
Back then, the Fourth Hokage had used this sealing jutsu to erase not only the memories of everyone who had traveled through time and space through the Dragon Vein, but also those of the Nine-Tails inside Naruto.
Clearly, this was a rule-based ninjutsu. Even someone as powerful as the Nine-Tails couldn't resist it.
Once he learned this Memory Seal Jutsu, even if he did bad things out in the world later, he could use it and no one would know he had done anything bad.
Nobuhiko suddenly realized that the methods at his disposal were growing increasingly varied.
Among the ninjutsu and sealing jutsu he had already learned were single-target attacks, area attacks, defensive techniques, and control techniques.
The ninjutsu and sealing jutsu he had scrolls for but hadn't learned yet were just as varied.
But Nobuhiko kept feeling that something was missing.
What was missing?
After thinking about it for a long time without finding an answer, Nobuhiko decided to stop thinking and leave it to time!
Now, he decided to buy a pair of goggles.
Inside a ninja tool shop.
"Boss, do you have any goggles?"
Having used the Transformation Technique to turn into an adult, Nobuhiko had found a very reputable ninja tool shop.
"Yes, Lord Ninja. May I ask what specific requirements you have for the goggles?"
The owner was a short, overweight middle-aged man whose bright eyes gleamed with shrewdness.
"Preferably black. I need to be able to see out, but people outside shouldn't be able to see my eyes."
"Lord Ninja, goggles like that are rather expensive."
"Price isn't a problem. As long as they meet my requirements, I..."
Nobuhiko suddenly stopped.
Damn it, I'd already handed my entire fortune to my Shadow Clone to win money off Tsunade. I don't have a penny on me!
"Ahem, it's not as though I'm short on money. Let me see which goggles meet my requirements first."
After that, Nobuhiko gave the goggles that met his requirements a cursory look.
"I'll think it over."
Forcing himself to look composed, Nobuhiko turned and left.
Well, the goggle purchase had fallen through. He had better go back and practice his ninjutsu, and guess how many Asumas his Shadow Clone would bring in today while he was at it.
Meanwhile, in Konoha.
Kushina sat unhappily on the sofa.
It was already afternoon, and her Little Brother Nobuhiko still hadn't come to see her!
According to their earlier agreement, if he hadn't come by now, that meant Little Brother Nobuhiko had already left the village with Sister Tsunade.
Feeling a little hurt, Kushina entered the sealed space.
"Senior Kurama, when do you think I'll be able to fully withstand your power?"
"Hah."
"Now you remember to call me senior? That wasn't how you acted before!"
The Nine-Tails scoffed, but after seeing Kushina's wounded gaze, he settled for that single mild taunt.
"By my estimate, you'll have to be at least seventeen or eighteen before you can fully withstand my power!"
"Why does it have to take so long?"
Although Kushina understood, she still couldn't help complaining.
"Do you know how strong you'll be once you can fully withstand my power?"
Kurama was a little angry.
"How strong?"
Kushina had always known Kurama was strong, but she had absolutely no concept of just how powerful he was.
"Hah."
"Once you've fully inherited my power, that so-called strongest Hokage of yours won't last long against me at all!"
"In fact, destroying your village would only take a few Tailed Beast Bombs."
The Nine-Tails told Kushina about his might with some pride.
"No wonder Grandma Mito said that Lord First Hokage thought your power was too great to let you roam free, so he had no choice but to seal you away!"
Shocked by Kurama's might, Kushina blurted that out.
"Out! Get out of here!"
Kurama opened his cavernous maw and roared Kushina out of the sealed space.
Back on the sofa, the already aggrieved Kushina felt even more aggrieved!
At the inn, after waiting and waiting, Nobuhiko finally saw his Shadow Clone return as night fell.
"How did it go? How much did you make?"
The moment he saw the Shadow Clone return, Nobuhiko eagerly asked about his haul.
"3.5 million ryo."
The Shadow Clone seemed a little dazed, as though he had received a tremendous shock.
"Holy shit!"
"You mean we spent an entire afternoon doing nothing but betting against Tsunade a few times, and made a net profit of a tenth of an Asuma?"
Nobuhiko finally understood why his Shadow Clone was so shocked.
Goddamn it.
This money was way too easy to make!
"See how it happened for yourself!"
The Shadow Clone formed hand seals and dispelled himself.
Poof.
A set of shocking memories appeared in Nobuhiko's mind.
Goddamn it.
The Shadow Clone actually dared to go all in with everything every single time. How did he dare put that much faith in Tsunade?
The key was that Tsunade really hadn't let his Shadow Clone down. A hundred battles, a hundred defeats!
She truly lived up to her reputation as the legendary fat sheep!
What a killing.
At this rate, it won't be long before I achieve financial freedom in the Shinobi World!
Nobuhiko thought gleefully.
Bang.
Looking thoroughly disgruntled, Tsunade shoved the door open violently.
"Why do you look so unhappy, Sister Tsunade?"
Nobuhiko asked after Tsunade with a slightly guilty conscience.
Bang.
Tsunade slammed the table hard.
"Don't even mention it. I ran into a bastard today who bet against me every single time. Every time, he put every last bit of his money on the opposite side from me, and he won every time!"
"He'd better not let me run into him again, or else!"
Bang.
Tsunade raised her fist again, then smashed the table to pieces.
