Ch. 3Dawn-chan makes her entrance

Ten years after arriving in the Pokémon world, Xiaoyun had given up on awakening a system and spent his days relaxing in Twinleaf Town. Dawn asked him to travel with her when they came of age, and he agreed as they headed home together.

  • Xiaoyun reflected on the failed attempts he had made over ten years to awaken a system.
  • Dawn found Xiaoyun lounging in the grass and told him his father had urgently called him home.
  • Dawn shyly asked Xiaoyun to travel with her when they were old enough to set out.
  • Xiaoyun agreed, saying he had already planned to travel with Dawn so she would not be alone.
  • Dawn stopped Xiaoyun from bringing up an embarrassing childhood incident, and they got up to head home.

Ch. 4An unscrupulous dad and a gift in store

Xiaoyun returned home, where Lina told him his father had arranged a long-awaited gift. He remembered how Hanyu Qing'an had persuaded him to help patrol Twinleaf Town, and Hanyu revealed that he had arranged the gift through Professor Birch in Hoenn.

  • Xiaoyun greeted Luxray and returned home, where Lina said Hanyu Qing'an had been searching for him and had a gift for him.
  • Xiaoyun recalled Hanyu Qing'an claiming Staraptor was overworked to persuade him to help patrol Twinleaf Town and check the mountain after school.
