The secrets of the Yellow Origin Realm

Ye Xuan moved closer to Shu Sheng. Anything involving immortals interested him greatly.

"That's right, the Immortal Sequence. It's a benefit the Yellow Origin Realm grants to the various sects. Every ten years, it bestows a batch of Immortal Sequence places to nurture prodigy disciples."

As Shu Sheng spoke, envy appeared on his own face.

A man knew his own affairs best. He could break through to Golden Core in the Land of Sequences, but how many blessings he received from the world's consciousness would depend on luck. As for origin power, he did not even dare dream of it.

Origin power? Could that be the Spirit Medicine Realm origin I obtained from checking in?

Ye Xuan muttered inwardly. He already had eleven threads of world origin now. But he did not dare tell anyone about this. Something that could draw an immortal's attention was bound to be good.

His strength was still meager, so he needed to keep lying low.

"What use does origin power have? Why would immortals value it so highly?"

Ye Xuan wore a shocked expression as he asked Shu Sheng.

Shu Sheng's eyes were also full of longing. He had only read about these things in his sect's ancient texts and had never heard of anyone creating their own world.

When he obtained the Chaos Dao Scripture, Ye Xuan had witnessed the birth of chaos. Presumably, a great deal of world origin had been produced then, forming the worlds large and small throughout the universe.

As for becoming a child of the world, Ye Xuan had no interest whatsoever. Such people lived in the world's spotlight and would inevitably receive the direct attention of the world's consciousness.

Ye Xuan possessed the Check-In System. If the world's consciousness watched him constantly, rewards he obtained out of thin air would never escape its scrutiny.

With this thought, Ye Xuan wrapped another layer of Chaos Spiritual Qi around the world origin in his Dantian, concealing it from the scrutiny of the world's consciousness.

"Fellow Daoist, is there any relationship between the Yellow Origin Realm, the Yellow Origin Region, and the Yellow Origin Sect?"

Ye Xuan interrupted Shu Sheng's reverie. From Shu Sheng's earlier introduction, the Yellow Origin Realm was actually named after a sect.

Having his reverie abruptly interrupted, Shu Sheng rolled his eyes at Ye Xuan, then looked at him with some surprise.

He could enter the Spirit Medicine Realm, yet did not even know such basic facts. All Shu Sheng could say was that Ye Xuan's sect was not quite up to standard, having failed to explain these things to him.

Shu Sheng could never have imagined that the Azure Feather Dao Sect itself did not know these things either. Had the Southern Region's sects not rendered great service earlier, the Southern Region would not have qualified to enter the Spirit Medicine Realm at all.

"You don't even know that? The Yellow Origin Sect is the greatest sect in this world's Immortal Alliance, and even its first pioneer. It established itself in this realm tens of thousands of years ago. Most of the Immortal Alliance sects throughout the Yellow Origin Realm were founded by former disciples of the Yellow Origin Sect."

"Naturally, it deserves to have a region and a realm named after it!"

"Pioneer?"

Ye Xuan keenly sensed that something was not quite right.

"Do you never talk to anyone, fellow Daoist? Have your sect elders never mentioned this?"

Shu Sheng frowned. To him, these were all required lessons in a sect's teachings, yet Ye Xuan knew none of them.

"Previously, I only cultivated in seclusion and never concerned myself with anything else."

Ye Xuan put on the air of a cultivation fanatic.

"All right, then I'll explain it to you."

For the sake of the Nascent Soul Breakthrough Pill, Shu Sheng did not probe further. These things could be learned by asking just about anyone anyway; they were no secret.

"The war is still ongoing. Every hundred years, the Yellow Origin Sect and the Immortal Alliance conscript the top experts of every region to head to the front lines and fight for our human race."

Shu Sheng spoke with impassioned fervor, looking as though he wished he could throw himself into the war against the outside forces as well.

Ye Xuan was deeply shocked by Shu Sheng's words.

He had never expected that the human race had invaded this world. The Yellow Origin Realm seemed to be merely an insignificant place among the human race's vast multitude of worlds.

Ye Xuan had also heard his master mention the Immortal Alliance's conscription. However, over the past several thousand years, everyone conscripted from the Southern Region had died in battle. Not one had returned.

Thinking about it, that made sense. In a war where even immortals could fall, those in the Spirit Transformation Realm were nothing more than cannon fodder.

Ye Xuan sighed inwardly. It seemed he was still not strong enough. He had only just reached Nascent Soul and did not even qualify to participate in the war.

"Then what is the relationship between the Yellow Origin Sect and the Immortal Alliance?"

Ye Xuan raised another question. From what Shu Sheng had said earlier, the Immortal Alliance seemed to be the greater power.

"The Immortal Alliance? I've heard it's an organization jointly established by all the major powers of the human race. The Yellow Origin Sect is merely an ordinary sect within it."

A look of longing appeared on Shu Sheng's face.

"One last question. What serves as proof of the Immortal Sequence?"

Ye Xuan already felt that obtaining so much information for a single Nascent Soul Breakthrough Pill had been well worth it. All that remained now was the question of how to enter the Land of Sequences.

"Heh, forget it. Once the Immortal Sequence is bestowed, it can never be stripped away. Moreover, within the Spirit Medicine Realm, even immortals cannot kill disciples who possess the Immortal Sequence."

Shu Sheng saw through Ye Xuan's thoughts at a glance and directly dashed his hopes.

Shu Sheng took a deep breath and connected with a wisp of hazy Qi within his spiritual sea. A sense of affinity radiated from him, and his entire being seemed to merge into his surroundings.

Ye Xuan's pupils contracted. He had felt the aura coming from Shu Sheng before. This was clearly a weakened version of origin power. There was simply too little origin power within Shu Sheng. Had Ye Xuan not possessed origin power himself, he probably would not have been able to distinguish it.
