Hidden Leaf Village.
Because of the terrifying Human Bomb attack, the once peaceful streets had erupted into chaos. Cries and wails blended together, punctuated by occasional explosions. Nearly half the village had been paralyzed, thrown into complete disarray.
The attackers were exceedingly brutal. Their method of entering the village had been utterly crude: using the element of surprise and Human Bombs, they had blown apart the Hidden Leaf Village's main gate. Hundreds of Chinoike Clan members surged in like madmen, killing anyone they saw as they charged toward the Uchiha Clan Territory.
"Help! Help!"
A villager screamed in terror as a zombie-like figure chased after him. The man's expression was stiff, and a terrifying red glow flickered in his eyes. Even with a kunai still lodged in his heart, he moved as though nothing had happened.
In his panic, the villager accidentally stepped on and crushed a fruit basket. His foot slipped, throwing him off balance, and he tumbled to the corner of the street.
The attacker spread his palm, just about to grab the villager by the hair.
The villager had been left bloodied by the fall, but he had no time to care about the pain. He could only watch helplessly as that big hand drew nearer and nearer.
"Wind Release: Wind Cutter Technique!"
An Anbu ninja leaped down from a rooftop and completed his Hand Seal the instant he landed. Sharp cutting sounds rang through the wind. An invisible blade flashed past, and with a wet slash, the attacker's arm was severed cleanly at the shoulder.
The wind whistled past again, followed by another horizontal air blade that cut the attacker in half at the waist. Dark crimson blood splattered across the villager's face.
The scene was a little bloody, but at least he had been saved.
