Aaron helped the Dragon Aspects choose Onyxia as the new Black Dragon Queen and Stellagosa as the new Blue Dragon Queen, whose coronation required a difficult ritual to grant her the Guardian of Arcane’s power. As the ritual neared completion, Deathwing arrived and threatened to kill them.
Deathwing attacked the Nexus during Stellagosa’s coronation, and the Titan Keepers and newly crowned Onyxia tried to stop him. Aaron helped Onyxia damage Deathwing’s armor, and Archaedas used his Earth-Warder authority to bind Deathwing, leaving him vulnerable to the Keepers’ attacks.
The Dragon Aspects and Titan Keepers defeated Deathwing after Stellagosa’s coronation disrupted his attempt to detonate his unstable power. With Deathwing dead and the Naga’s plans to free N’Zoth in ruins, Aaron prepared to eliminate the remaining threat.
Aaron prepared an expedition to attack N'Zoth in his underwater prison, using the Tidestone to create a dry environment in the deep sea. After N'Zoth corrupted Stormsong Valley and threatened Kul Tiras, the Alliance, dragons, and Titan-forged assembled to join Aaron's campaign against the last Old God.
Aaron led the expeditionary force through the seabed to Nazjatar, where they defeated Queen Azshara before advancing on N'Zoth. With Xal'atath's guidance, they uncovered the hidden entrance to Ny'alotha and arrived before its gates.
The expeditionary force entered Ny'alotha and endured its corrupting whispers and monsters as Lady Vashj guided them toward N'Zoth's prison. Aaron and the others reached N'Zoth, where his prison had become a nightmare domain, and faced the Old God at full power within it.
Aaron and the expeditionary army fought N'Zoth as Odyn and Archaedas used the Pillars of Creation to reinforce his prison. Azeroth's Legion of Heroic Spirits arrived under Tyr, who destroyed N'Zoth's core with the Silver Hand Warhammer and ended the Old God's threat.
After Zandalari Trolls tried to steal Lei Shen’s corpse in Pandaria, Ra-den summoned Aaron and warned him that they might be in contact with a living Old God. Ra-den admitted he had helped create that Old God, leaving Aaron with a new threat to investigate.
Prophet Zul escaped confinement to awaken G'huun while Ra-den told Aaron that the artificial Old God was loose inside Uldir. Aaron took Ra-den and his companions to Zandalar aboard the Dreadwake, where Ra-den jumped off to confront G'huun.
Ra-den killed G'huun and escaped Uldir as the laboratory collapsed, while Zul's failed uprising left Zandalar weakened by civil war. With Illidan having secured the Sargerite Keystone, Aaron decided it was time to assemble an expedition to Argus before the Burning Legion could threaten Azeroth.
Aaron led an Azeroth expedition through a portal to Argus, where the fleet defeated the Burning Legion’s ships and began landing in Krokuun. As ground defenses opened fire, the Xenedar appeared before the Exodar.
Aaron and the Azeroth expeditionary force found the Xenedar and rescued the Army of the Light from a Legion attack. After meeting Turalyon, Alleria, and Xe'ra, the allies gathered aboard the ship to discuss the campaign against the Burning Legion on Argus.
Aaron and Turalyon assessed the expeditionary army, the Army of the Light, and the Burning Legion before planning an assault on Antoran. Aaron concluded they had to strike the Legion’s nerve center quickly, beginning with the shipyard, before the Legion could gather its forces on Argus.
Aaron’s expedition invaded the Antoran Wastes, capturing the Felfire Armory and destroying the demon shipyard before fighting its way to the central furnace. The furnace was destroyed and its stored souls scattered, though the expedition suffered casualties and the demons across Antoran were alerted.
Aaron’s expeditionary force reached the gates of Antorus, the Burning Throne, but its barrier was too strong to break before demons could gather inside. Aaron and Velen set out for Mac'Aree to recover the other pieces of the Crown of the Triumvirate, while the ships continued bombarding the barrier.
Aaron and his companions traveled across Mac'Aree, where he learned that the land's shadow corruption came from the fallen Naaru L'ura, now held at the Seat of the Triumvirate. They needed a fragment of the Crown of the Triumvirate from L'ura, but Void-aligned Ethereals stood in their way, and Aaron was wary when Alleria offered to contact her Ethereal teacher.
Aaron led the expedition to recover two fragments of the Crown of the Triumvirate while refusing Alleria’s repeated offers to seek help from her shadow-teaching mentor. After thwarting the mentor’s attempt to make Alleria absorb L’ura’s power, Aaron took the Crest of Knowledge and prepared to return to Antoran to breach Antorus, the Burning Throne.
Aaron intervened after Xe'ra and Illidan clashed, then pressured Xe'ra into cooperating with the expeditionary force. He used the Crown of the Triumvirate to break Antorus's barrier, beginning the final assault on the Burning Throne.
Aaron’s expeditionary army broke into Antorus, the Burning Throne, and defeated Kil'jaeden after Velen struck him with the Holy Light. As the army advanced to disable the Legion’s portals, Aaron found one leading to Elunaria, where Eonar was hiding.
Aaron and his allies rescued Eonar from the Burning Legion and continued their assault on Antorus to free the tormented Titan souls. After defeating the Doomguard Witch Coven, Eonar began restoring the captive Titans, though their recovery would take time.
The Pantheon helped Argus be born and used Aaron’s connection to Azeroth to cleanse his Fel corruption. With Argus asleep and safe, the Titans began summoning Sargeras, but the place where they found him shocked everyone.
Aaron learned from Azeroth that Sargeras had been waiting outside the planet for her birth, and that she had delayed emerging until others could restrain him. As the Pantheon prepared to summon Sargeras, the Titans readied themselves to bring their fallen brother back.
The Pantheon summoned Sargeras back, and Azeroth stopped his attempt to strike Azeroth with his sword. As Azeroth battered him along the way, Aman'Thul sealed Sargeras away for a later decision.
After the Burning Legion’s defeat, Azeroth entered a long peace as its peoples rebuilt, migrated, and formed new ties. Aaron’s calm ended when Azeroth told him that unrest in the Shadowlands required his attention.
