Hai Ying and three other peak Immortal Kings fought over access to the Illusory Whale Immortal Emperor’s tomb until Ye Chen entered the vortex unharmed and Hai Ying followed him. Inside, Ye Chen found Youruo, accepted her as his disciple, and began to reveal her hidden cultivation potential as Hai Ying questioned his promise.

• Hai Ying, the Aotian Dragon King, Immortal King Gui Wu, and the Mysterious Wind Whale King competed to enter the tomb, but an apparent revived Immortal Emperor corpse forced them to stop fighting.
• Ye Chen and the Hengyun Immortal Emperor arrived, and Ye Chen crossed the vortex without being attacked; Hai Ying followed him inside while the other kings left to retrieve their Extreme Dao Emperor Weapons.
• Ye Chen found Youruo, explained that she could cultivate, and accepted her as his disciple.
• Hai Ying recognized Youruo and doubted Ye Chen could help her, but Ye Chen claimed her talent surpassed Hai Ying’s and pressed two fingers to Youruo’s forehead, releasing brilliant light.
