Personality
Halazzi is proud of his standing as an Advanced Warrior and follower of the Lynx Spirit. Being held off by two Intermediate rangers humiliates him, making him particularly vulnerable to Charlemagne's taunts. His anger turns disciplined attacks into broad, forceful swings that agile opponents can exploit 22 26.
His aggression does not entirely erase his judgment. He withdraws from unsuccessful probing attacks and recognizes when a battle has become untenable. Nevertheless, his desire to recover his pride leads him to ignore advisers and pursue the elves recklessly alongside Nalorakk 16 20 21.
He openly threatens to eat his enemies. During his first duel with Charlemagne, he imagines turning the elf's head into a chamber pot, extracting his essence for mojo, and eating his body 22 23.
Abilities & Skills
Advanced Warrior Combat
Halazzi combines a Warrior's strength with a lynx's speed and more than a thousand years of combat experience 22 26.
- Scimitar fighting: Uses powerful cleaves, rapid follow-up attacks, and defensive parries; he can knock aside volleys of Aimed Shots 20 22 23.
- Close-range counters: Anticipates Charlemagne's attempted waist strike and answers with a Rage-coated kick before the shorter blade can reach him 22.
- Overwhelming force: Cuts through Intermediate rangers in melee, forcing Charlemagne to warn his troops against confronting him directly 20.
- Limitations: Supporting fire and evasive melee tactics can keep him occupied. Provocation reduces his precision, while sustained attacks eventually exhaust his reserves 22 26 27.
Rage Reinforcement
Halazzi channels Rage through his body and weapons for both offense and defense 20 26.
- Coats his scimitar in Rage, placing enough strain on Charlemagne's Focus-reinforced steel blades to gradually crack them 26.
- Covers his body in condensed Rage that dissipates much of the force behind Sylvanas's arrows 26.
- Infuses a throwing knife with Rage before hurling it at the retreating Sylvanas 23.
- Cannot maintain this protection indefinitely; his dwindling Rage becomes a decisive weakness in his final duel 26 27.
Heroic Leap and Charge
Halazzi uses Warrior mobility techniques to cross obstacles and close on ranged opponents 20 21.
- Chains Heroic Leap into Charge without a pause when attacking Charlemagne 20.
- Leaps over the elves' trapped ground alongside Nalorakk and their personal guards 21.
- Exploits an opening in the elves' front line to leap toward Sylvanas, then later Charges Charlemagne when he moves within range 23.
Troll Regeneration
Halazzi relies on Troll regenerative abilities when assessing how much damage he can survive 27.
- Believes minor wounds will be recoverable if his remaining Rage prevents a lethal injury 27.
- Regeneration does not prevent his capture after a deep chest wound and a disabling shot to the knee 27.
Battlefield Command
- Directs more than eighty Trolls in a two-wing attack against the Farstriders' camp 15.
- Uses a shield formation of roughly one hundred Trolls to block Sylvanas's escape route and buy time for Nalorakk's approach 19.
- Orders retreats and regroups surviving troops when his positions collapse 16 20.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Green scimitar — A strangely shaped weapon of unidentified origin. Its quality exceeds that of Charlemagne's ordinary steel blades, which deteriorate during their duel 17 26.
- Throwing knife — Carried at his waist and used for a Rage-enhanced attack against Sylvanas; Charlemagne intercepts it with an arrow 23.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Attacks on the Farstriders' Camp
Halazzi commands the Troll detachment opposing the Farstriders' camp. On the third day of fighting, he divides more than eighty attackers between its two sides. Elven arrows and Blizzard spells disrupt the assault, and he orders a withdrawal once the spell ends rather than sacrifice troops in a probing action 15 16.
Repeated failures provoke Zul'jin's anger, pushing Halazzi and Nalorakk to launch all-out assaults. Halazzi abandons his rear command position and leads the next attack personally with his green scimitar. The elves' traps impede his advance until a scout's report causes him to abandon the camp attack and move against Sylvanas's exposed force 16 17 18.
Encirclement and Charlemagne's Intervention
Halazzi blocks Sylvanas's retreat with a shield formation, forcing her troops back toward a hill as Nalorakk approaches from the other side. Charlemagne's pursuing rangers attack Halazzi from behind, disrupting the formation and creating an opportunity for the trapped elves 19 20.
Halazzi attacks Charlemagne directly, then turns on nearby rangers when the younger elf escapes with Disengage. Charlemagne draws his attention with three Aimed Shots and a bluff, buying time for Sylvanas's mages to blast apart the Troll line. With the encirclement broken, Halazzi retreats to regroup with Nalorakk 20.
The Duel and Charlemagne's Scar
Ignoring their advisers, Halazzi and Nalorakk pursue the retreating elves and leap over their traps. Yawen assigns Charlemagne and Sylvanas to contain Halazzi, with Charlemagne fighting in melee and Sylvanas supporting him from range 21 22.
Charlemagne's taunts initially make Halazzi easier to evade, but the elf becomes overconfident and withdraws from the front line to shoot. Halazzi immediately exploits the opening to attack Sylvanas. Charlemagne intercepts the throwing knife aimed at her, only to place himself within Charge range 22 23.
Halazzi's scimitar leaves a long wound across Charlemagne's face despite a partial deflection. Yawen and the other rangers interrupt his follow-up attack, forcing him to retreat with Nalorakk. Charlemagne later refuses an offer to seek healing for the scar, keeping it as a reminder to remain vigilant 23 24.
Defeat at Zul'Aman
Zul'jin punishes Halazzi and Nalorakk with poisoned needles before sending them back into battle alongside Akil'zon. Charlemagne and Sylvanas volunteer to face Halazzi again 25.
Their increasingly coordinated defense frustrates him. As Charlemagne grows more proficient in melee, Halazzi's attacks become less disciplined under renewed taunting. The pressure of the duel helps Charlemagne break through to the Advanced tier, a change he conceals until Halazzi begins tiring 26 27.
Supported by Sylvanas's three Aimed Shots, Charlemagne thrusts both blades into Halazzi's chest. The damaged blades snap just before reaching his heart, sparing his life. Halazzi attempts to flee, but Sylvanas shoots his knee, allowing Charlemagne and the surrounding rangers to disarm and capture him. His defeat helps break the remaining Trolls' will to fight 27.
Captivity and Replacement
Halazzi is carried back toward Tranquillien in a cage as a rare high-ranking Amani prisoner. Malacrass proposes rescuing him, but Zul'jin rejects the operation because the depleted Amani cannot risk further losses. Daakara replaces him as the Lynx Spirit's chief follower 28 32.
The elves transport Halazzi to Silvermoon in a separate prison wagon under especially vigilant guard. During Anasterian's public victory address, Lireesa has his cart brought forward as proof that the elves have captured one of the Amani's foremost commanders 37 40.

- Lynx Spirit — The nature spirit Halazzi worships and serves as chief follower until his capture and replacement 15 32 40.
- Nalorakk — Fellow Advanced Warrior and battlefield partner. They coordinate attacks, regroup after setbacks, and retreat together 16 20 21 23.
- Charlemagne Theron — Repeated opponent. Halazzi gives him his lasting facial scar, but is ultimately defeated and captured after Charlemagne's breakthrough 23 24 26 27.
- Sylvanas Windrunner — Enemy commander and Charlemagne's combat partner. Her supporting shots repeatedly interrupt Halazzi, and her final knee shot prevents his escape 22 26 27.
