Ch. 1King Ghidorah

Gu Chi awoke as King Ghidorah on an unfamiliar world and unleashed a continent-spanning storm that devastated the land. As nations struggled to respond, an ancient ocean sovereign awakened and sent a catastrophic tsunami toward the coasts, leaving Gu Chi aware that another powerful monster awaited him.

  • Gu Chi broke free from the earth as King Ghidorah, discovered he was on an unfamiliar world, and generated a vast storm with his wings.
  • Gu Chi expanded the storm into a continent-wide disaster of hurricanes, floods, and lightning while reveling in his power and wondering whether Godzilla existed in this world.
  • Medici searched ancient records and feared the storm heralded the end of the world, while Duke Iron Nexus ordered evacuations and called for aid from rival nations.
  • An ancient ocean sovereign awoke beneath the Endless Ocean, sensed the power above, and unleashed a super tsunami that destroyed coastal settlements and swept inland.
  • Gu Chi sensed the ocean sovereign's destructive power, welcomed the discovery of another monster, and expanded his storm toward the ocean.

Ch. 2Fierce Battle with a Native Behemoth

King Ghidorah fought Apekus, the Lord of the Azure Waves, and survived its ultimate attack before overpowering and subduing it. Apekus revealed that Ghidorah had arrived on the unfamiliar planet Yilisai, and learned the name King Ghidorah.

  • King Ghidorah flew toward the coast and found Apekus, a massive sea behemoth crawling ashore.
  • King Ghidorah struck Apekus with Gravity Beams, but Apekus retaliated with tsunamis, waterspouts, and a powerful blue beam called [End of an Era].
  • King Ghidorah emerged from Apekus's beam attack unharmed and charged back at it.
  • King Ghidorah blasted Apekus with Gravity Beams, pinned it down, and electrocuted it until it pleaded for him to stop.
  • Apekus identified itself as the administrator of planet Yilisai, and King Ghidorah told it to remember his name.

Ch. 3The history of Yilisai

Apekus recounted Yilisai’s history, describing the rise and destruction of civilizations across sixteen eras and his repeated cleansings to protect the planet. He ended by warning King Ghidorah that the outsider’s arrival had disrupted the seventeenth era and forced Apekus to face a power unlike any he had encountered.

  • Apekus described how the first races developed the Chromis Sorcery System before attacking the dragons and suffering defeat.
  • Aniemos created the Niemosi Spell Formula, and Apekus later ended the war among dragons, Chaos Beasts, and Primordial Giants with his first cleansing.
  • Apekus destroyed a later civilization that had abused magic and technology in his second cleansing.
  • The gods waged war across Yilisai, and Apekus ended their age by defeating them and sealing their power.
  • Apekus explained that he had repeatedly cleansed civilizations that threatened the world, then identified King Ghidorah’s arrival as an unprecedented danger to the seventeenth era.

Ch. 4A variable in the world

King Ghidorah tortured Apekus into explaining Yilisai’s history and its role as the planet’s administrator, then learned the world had detected a new being capable of changing its course. The chapter ended with Apekus identifying that being as a human named Nuoyaji.

  • King Ghidorah punished Apekus for acting arrogantly, forcing it to submit and apologize.
  • Apekus clarified that legends exaggerated its strength: hundreds of gods had taken over a thousand years to shatter a continent, and it had spent centuries tracking down the survivors.
  • Apekus explained that Yilisai’s world source informed it of major historical events and that it had also used avatars to observe civilizations firsthand.
  • King Ghidorah compared Apekus to Godzilla, concluding that Apekus was a much weaker planetary administrator.
  • Apekus sensed a new world-changing being on the eastern continent, and told King Ghidorah that it was a human named Nuoyaji.

Ch. 5The regressor

Nuoyaji woke in his seventeen-year-old body with memories of the empire’s destruction and resolved to change the future, but discovered an unprecedented superstorm already ravaging the world. At the coast, Apekus explained Nuoyaji’s regression to King Ghidorah, who became intrigued by the new variable.

  • Nuoyaji recognized that he had returned to his youth, carrying memories of the wars, betrayals, and deaths from his previous life.
  • Nuoyaji resolved to prevent the empire’s collapse, expose the nobles’ plots, and protect the people he cared about.
  • Nuoyaji opened his window and saw black clouds, violent tornadoes, and tremors—disasters absent from his memories of that year.
  • King Ghidorah questioned Apekus about the world node that had frightened him, and Apekus explained it was a minor influence on human civilization.
  • Apekus revealed that Nuoyaji was a regressor seeking to change humanity’s future, and King Ghidorah looked toward the Karelia Empire with interest.

Ch. 6Winds stilled, clouds scattered, a threat to the world

King Ghidorah ended the world-threatening storm and questioned Apekus about the planet’s other giant beasts and Nuoyaji. In Dawn City-State, Nuoyaji spotted a mysterious white-robed figure connected to a hidden organization, while Ghidorah used Apekus’s ability to watch him from afar.

  • King Ghidorah reversed and dismantled the super-hurricane after Apekus pleaded with him to save the planet’s ecosystem.
  • Apekus told King Ghidorah that he was the planet’s only administrator and that its other ancient beasts were far weaker than he was.
  • Nuoyaji considered how to warn humanity about the ancient demon gods, then recognized a white-robed figure from a mysterious organization and chased her through Dawn City-State, but lost her.
  • Nuoyaji wondered whether the organization’s warning about threats beneath the ocean’s abyss and the sudden storm revealed new dangers caused by his rebirth.
  • King Ghidorah asked Apekus to explain Nuoyaji’s actions, then used Apekus’s world-given ability to project a view of the city-state on a blue screen.

Ch. 7An era of change

King Ghidorah refused Apekus’s offer of the world administrator position and examined the magical steampunk world through Apekus’s projection. In the Dawn City-State, Nuoyaji reconsidered the danger posed by the Silence Society and joined a gathering where Afusi announced the superstorm’s devastating damage across the Karelia Empire.

  • King Ghidorah asked whether Apekus could transfer the world administrator position, then refused it as a thankless duty.
  • King Ghidorah ordered Apekus to change the projection’s viewpoint and surveyed the Karelia Empire and Yilisei Continent.
  • Nuoyaji realized the Silence Society might know secrets about the demon gods, the ocean abyss, and the superstorm, but decided he needed trustworthy teammates before approaching them.
  • Nuoyaji followed the townspeople to the square after learning that an imperial official would make an announcement about the storm.
  • Afusi announced that the superstorm had devastated farmland, villages, granaries, and livestock across the empire, leaving many people displaced and hungry.

Ch. 8The storm's aftermath

After the superstorm devastated half the continent, Karelia struggled to fund relief while its nobles and mages fought over resources and the disaster’s cause. King Ghidorah watched the upheaval unfold and asked Apekus whether he could create clones.

  • Afusi told Dawn City-State residents that the storm had devastated half the continent and asked them to donate to relief efforts; Nuoyaji realized the disaster had upended his knowledge of the future.
  • Hadrian heard that the Southern Consortium would aid the empire only if it received mining rights, tax relief, and looser restrictions on magical armaments, and he agreed to consult the royal family and the tower.
  • Mages at the Arcane Nexus Tower argued over whether ley-line mana, divine punishment, or a supreme being had caused the storm, but reached no conclusion.
  • Nations and factions across the Yilisei Continent responded to the disaster by pursuing relief, military expansion, profiteering, raids, and secret investigations.
  • King Ghidorah watched the continent’s turmoil with Apekus and asked whether he could create clones.

Ch. 9Treasures

King Ghidorah asked Apekus to show him the world’s other races and the treasures he had collected across sixteen eras. After inspecting Apekus’s collection, King Ghidorah stored his chosen treasures in a Sixth Era spatial device.

  • King Ghidorah asked Apekus to create an avatar, and Apekus cycled through several strange forms before showing him a Siya and explaining that many intelligent races lived alongside humans.
  • King Ghidorah asked Apekus to bring out his treasures, and Apekus summoned a vast collection from the ocean.
  • Apekus identified the Kebokopu Crystal, Chaos Beast King Core, God of War mech, and other relics gathered from past eras.
  • King Ghidorah selected several treasures and asked for a way to carry them, so Apekus presented a Sixth Era spatial storage device.
  • King Ghidorah connected to the device with his psionic energy, stored the selected treasures, and tucked the device between his scales.

Ch. 10Lingering winds from beyond the heavens

King Ghidorah left the coast to explore the continent, while the storm’s aftermath disrupted Yilisai and its nations. As Nuoyaji struggled to adapt his plans to the disaster, a new threat appeared over Victoria’s West Sea.

  • King Ghidorah flew inland, stirring up violent winds and rain, while the wounded Apekus received a flood of warnings about future turmoil and retreated to the ocean depths.
  • Nuoyaji considered how the storm had disrupted his plans to investigate the demon gods and prevent war, then headed to Dawn City’s relay station for news.
  • Reinhardt arrived at Iron Anchor Port with Victoria’s troops and ordered them to rescue survivors, inspect damaged infrastructure, and prevent looting.
  • A rescued fisherman pointed toward the sky, where an immense blackness spread across the horizon and brought the gale to a sudden halt.

Ch. 11Swift passage

King Ghidorah raced inland inside an unnaturally fast storm while Victoria’s forces surveyed the destruction at Iron Anchor Port. Marshal Reinhardt reported the catastrophe to the imperial capital, where Mortisen and Augustus VII realized Victoria and the continent faced an unprecedented crisis.

  • King Ghidorah observed soldiers and magical power-armored troops below, then continued riding his restrained but rapidly moving storm toward the continent’s interior.
  • Marshal Reinhardt ordered the soldiers to resume rescue work and recover the ruined Archon Mechs, while concluding that a supernatural force had caused the storm.
  • Reinhardt learned that every mech was inoperable and that Iron Anchor Port’s defenses, fleet, and industry had been devastated, then sent a report to Lionheart City by magical bird.
  • Hermann recognized that the disaster could reshape Victoria’s political balance and watched the report reach the imperial capital.
  • Mortisen read Reinhardt’s message and told Augustus VII that it brought extremely bad news; Augustus VII acknowledged the danger facing Victoria and the continent.

Ch. 12Let's go

King Ghidorah tested a controllable combat unit and sent it toward a human city while keeping his true body hidden. In Dawn City, Nuoyaji said goodbye to his grandmother, arranged for her protection, and set out for Luoweida to begin building strength.

  • King Ghidorah used his psionic energy to activate the black intelligent unit and discovered he could share its senses and control it as a fourth body.
  • King Ghidorah left his true body in the secluded valley and sent the unit through the forest toward a nearby human city.
  • Nuoyaji returned to his home in Dawn City and told his grandmother he was leaving to change the empire's situation and protect those he cared about.
  • Nuoyaji gave his grandmother a note directing her to the Stargazers if she needed help, and she agreed to keep it safe.
  • Nuoyaji chose Luoweida as his destination because of its magic nexus mines and set out through Dawn City's unsettled streets.

Ch. 13Luoweida City

King Ghidorah explored the flooded city of Luoweida through his Black Owl avatar and saw how his storm had destroyed its homes, food supply, mine, and ordinary lives. He left the city frustrated by the devastation and wished for someone to drain the floodwater.

  • Black Owl entered Luoweida and King Ghidorah saw the flooded streets, ruined houses, and idle workshops.
  • Viscount Heross faced a collapsed mine, trapped miners, dwindling food, imperial tax demands, and a consortium demanding half the mine's rights in exchange for supplies.
  • Lina cared for her feverish brother Little Jamie in their ruined home while their parents searched for food and water.
  • Black Owl entered Lina's home, frightened her, then left without approaching her or her brother.
  • King Ghidorah surveyed Luoweida, realized his storm had ruined ordinary life across the continent, and lamented that the flooding had spoiled his plans to explore.

Ch. 14Roads and memories

Nuoyaji hurried toward Luoweida, hoping to find the young miner who would lead a future uprising and prevent the disaster he remembered. As Nuoyaji neared the flooded city, Black Owl sensed his approach but continued surveying the ruins.

  • Nuoyaji rested on the road, recalled finding seven gold coins and an iron sword in storm-wrecked convoy debris, then set out again for Luoweida.
  • Nuoyaji remembered how mine closures, hunger, and imperial taxes had provoked an uprising in Luoweida, which the grand duke’s army crushed with a black spear that killed the miners’ young leader.
  • Nuoyaji decided to reach Luoweida quickly and find the young miner, hoping to change the uprising’s course or help him avoid the spear.
  • Nuoyaji trudged through the flooded night and saw Luoweida in the distance.
  • Black Owl, controlled by King Ghidorah, sensed a human approaching the city, briefly turned toward the outskirts, and returned to exploring the ruins.

Ch. 15A night visit to Luoweida (Part one)

Nuoyaji entered storm-damaged Luoweida and searched for somewhere dry to stay, then noticed a furtive cloaked figure moving through the city at night. He followed the stranger toward the northern part of the city.

  • Nuoyaji presented his Dawn City Magic Workshop apprentice certificate at Luoweida's gate and paid two silver coins to enter.
  • Nuoyaji trudged through the flooded, damaged streets and asked a worried mother for directions to an inn while her sick son and daughter, Lina, waited for her husband to return.
  • Nuoyaji continued east toward the Old Oak Inn and spotted a hooded figure leaving an alley and checking for pursuers.
  • Nuoyaji hid his illumination crystal and silently followed the figure into a narrow alley leading north.

Ch. 16A night visit to Luoweida (part two)

Nuoyaji discovered miners discussing how to resist Luoweida’s lord and offered to help their young leader. King Ghidorah watched through Black Owl, recognizing Nuoyaji as a regressor and waiting to see what he would do.

  • Fuke joined a meeting where the young leader warned that Luoweida was isolated, food prices were soaring, and neither the empire nor Viscount Heluos would help the miners.
  • The young leader urged the miners to find a way forward, but Nuoyaji interrupted from outside and asked whether they intended to take Luoweida.
  • Nuoyaji entered the room, identified himself as a magic apprentice, and gave his real name after the young leader invited him to sit.
  • Nuoyaji questioned the miners about their people, weapons, supplies, and opposition before saying he had come to help them.
  • King Ghidorah watched through Black Owl and recognized Nuoyaji as the regressor he had seen in a projection.

Ch. 17A conversation (part one)

Nuoyaji warned Dezi and the miners that attacking the viscount would bring the grand duke’s army and leave them starving, then proposed using an abandoned mine passage to bring food into Luoweida. Dezi questioned why Nuoyaji wanted to help them.

  • Nuoyaji learned that Dezi had studied reading, writing, and arithmetic at an ordinary academy in the inner city.
  • Nuoyaji told the miners they could defeat the viscount but would face the grand duke’s army, and he described its heavily armored troops and magic weapons.
  • Nuoyaji argued that hunger was their most urgent enemy and said the grand duke’s army could reach Luoweida in seven days.
  • Nuoyaji proposed bringing food in through an abandoned mine passage southeast of Luoweida, beyond the storm-damaged area.
  • Dezi asked Nuoyaji why he wanted to help the miners.

Ch. 18The conversation (part two)

Nuoyaji gained Dezi’s support for finding an old mine tunnel and bringing grain to Luoweida, while concealing his deeper plans. As Nuoyaji headed to an inn, King Ghidorah sensed an unfamiliar presence southeast and sent Black Owl to investigate.

  • Nuoyaji convinced Dezi that their goals aligned, and Dezi agreed to cooperate despite not knowing Nuoyaji’s origins.
  • Nuoyaji asked for local miners to scout the old mine tunnel and keep the miners from acting rashly until grain arrived.
  • Dezi sent Fuke and two miners to scout the route, directed three others to calm the miners, and gave Nuoyaji silver for lodging.
  • Nuoyaji walked toward the Old Oak Inn, recalling how he could use an old mine tunnel and his former friends’ grain-trading connections to supply Luoweida.
  • King Ghidorah sensed a faint, unfamiliar presence southeast and sent Black Owl toward it instead of following Nuoyaji.

Ch. 19Rainy night, girl

Fuyila hid in Luoweida City while fleeing pursuers who wanted the red stone her mother had left her. When Black Owl confronted her and called her a demon, she attacked him repeatedly, but he knocked her down each time, leaving her unable to rise.

  • Fuyila recalled surviving the storm, entering Luoweida City, and planning to flee south toward the seaside while carrying her mother's red stone.
  • Black Owl appeared at the abandoned stone house, and Fuyila sensed him and prepared to fight.
  • King Ghidorah observed Fuyila through Black Owl's avatar and noted that she had detected its approach.
  • Black Owl asked Fuyila if she was a demon, triggering her memories and causing her powers to flare.
  • Fuyila lunged at Black Owl three times, and he struck her back each time until she could no longer get up.

Ch. 20What was she?

King Ghidorah used Black Owl to question Fuyila after she broke down crying in an abandoned stone house. Fuyila told him what she remembered about her mother and the people pursuing them, then followed him into the night after he offered her food.

  • Fuyila cried for her missing mother while King Ghidorah watched from the doorway.
  • King Ghidorah controlled Black Owl to approach Fuyila, calm her, and ask her name and what race she was.
  • Fuyila said her name was Fuyila and described living with her mother in a huge house before her mother tore open a wall and took her away.
  • Fuyila explained that pursuers followed them, her mother left her in a town, and she had escaped her recent pursuers during a storm.
  • King Ghidorah offered Fuyila food, and she nodded because she had not eaten in two days.
  • Black Owl told Fuyila to follow him, and she stood with difficulty and followed him into the night.
