Appearance

Money Ghosts are massive, muscular humanoids with golden bodies and featureless faces marked by enormous copper coins 6.

  • Build: Their muscles initially resemble stacked gold bricks; their bodies become larger and more pronounced as Lu Fang grows stronger 6 7.
  • Height: Approximately 2 meters when first summoned, 2.2 meters after the first level increase, approximately 2.5 meters by the final starter-dungeon stage, and over 3 meters during the Blood Wolf Association attack 6 7 16.
  • Coloration: Initially dazzling gold, later described with a dark-golden luster 6 16.
  • Aura: Their later manifestation brings intense cold, black aura around their coin markings, and an oppressive sense of greed and death 16.
  • Manifestation: Their first summoning is accompanied by the sound of colliding gold coins; recalled or destroyed Money Ghosts dissolve into light 6 10 47.

Abilities & Skills

Summoning and Attribute Inheritance

Lu Fang creates Money Ghosts through Money Can Make Ghosts Turn the Millstone 4.

  • Cost: Creating one Money Ghost costs 10,000 gold coins 4 9.
  • Maximum number: Lu Fang can field ten at once 4 46.
  • Initial inheritance: At skill level 1, each Money Ghost matches Lu Fang’s base attributes, explicitly excluding equipment bonuses 4.
  • Upgraded inheritance: At skill level 2, each inherits 150% of his corresponding attributes, while the creation cost remains unchanged 9 10.
  • Live scaling: Existing Money Ghosts update as Lu Fang’s attributes increase, strengthening his dungeon-clearing force without requiring replacement 6 7 34.

Physical Combat

Money Ghosts primarily overwhelm opponents through Strength, speed, and durability rather than elaborate combat skills 7 27.

  • Unarmed attacks: They use punches, elbows, knee strikes, and stomps, and can catch descending saber blades barehanded 16 27 45.
  • Speed: They outpace Jungle Leopards and overwhelm Abyssal Demon Wolves before the monsters can strike them 7 8.
  • Protection: They form a defensive ring around Lu Fang, preventing the demon wolves from reaching him 8.
  • Durability: During the school assault, they withstand wind blades and shadow arrows and punch apart fireballs 16.
  • Pain and fear: They continue attacking despite wounds and show neither fear of death nor a response to pain 46 47.
  • Control resistance: Their high attributes greatly reduce many slowing, binding, and weakening effects, but do not make them immune 46.
  • Damage limit: Their attacks remain subject to physical defense. Against the level-50 Hell Demon General’s 3,000 Defense, their level-7 blows inflict only a few hundred damage each 8.
  • Skill restriction: They cannot use Lu Fang’s Spend a Thousand Gold in One Throw 40.

Commands and Independent Dungeon Runs

Money Ghosts obey Lu Fang’s mental commands and gestures, including immediate orders to attack or stop 8 48.

  • Independent entry: A Money Ghost can enter a dungeon without Lu Fang; the dungeon records it as a summon affiliated with him 38.
  • Assigned tasks: Before entry, Lu Fang can order it to clear monsters and collect drops 38.
  • Parallel farming: Ten Money Ghosts can occupy ten separate dungeons while Lu Fang runs an eleventh 38 39.
  • Cross-space awareness: Lu Fang can vaguely sense their direction, condition, and progress across dungeon spaces, but cannot directly control them or issue new orders there 39.
  • Experience restriction: Kills in a summon-only dungeon provide no experience to the affiliated class holder 38.
  • Loot restriction: Money Ghosts have no class-holder storage space and require physical containers to carry drops 38.
  • Efficiency: Despite being less nimble than Lu Fang and lacking his coin attack, their higher attributes make them faster at straightforward Hell-dungeon farming 40.

Recall, Replacement, and External Healing

Lu Fang can preserve, replace, or heal his summons through several different methods 10 40 47.

  • Recall: Living Money Ghosts can return to his body at any time. Calling those recalled summons out again costs no additional gold 10.
  • Restoration through resummoning: During prolonged farming, Lu Fang dismisses damaged Money Ghosts and summons an uninjured group at full strength 40.
  • Replacement after destruction: When the chamber executives destroy one, he immediately creates a replacement 47.
  • Life-Buying Money: Lu Fang can heal damaged Money Ghosts directly. In the chamber battle, restoring each costs only a few thousand gold coins—less than creating a new one 47.
  • Limits: They can suffer cracked limbs, corrosion, poison, burns, and complete destruction; high attributes do not make them invulnerable 40 47.

Vulnerability to Connection-Severing Formations

Wu Zhao’s Spirit-Trapping Contract-Severing Formation demonstrates a countermeasure against the summons 47.

  • Silver chains restrain their limbs while a spatial partition forcibly severs part of their connection to Lu Fang, visibly slowing their movements 47.
  • Lu Fang frees them with Road-Buying Money, spending 1,000,000 gold coins to pierce and shatter the formation; this escape depends on his skill, not an innate Money Ghost ability 47.

Equipment / Items

  • Large black sacks — Supplied by Lu Fang for independent dungeon runs. The Money Ghosts return carrying materials, equipment, crystal cores, and other monster drops, including Gold- and Diamond-grade equipment 38 40.

History

Initial Dungeon and Asura Hidden Stage

Lu Fang first summons ten Money Ghosts in the Initial Dungeon. One destroys all ten Fanged Wild Boars in the opening stage with a single arm swing, clearing it in one second. The group then sweeps through the remaining stages, culminating in the destruction of 200 elite Bloodthirsty Lizards in three seconds 6 7.

In the Asura Hidden Stage, they slaughter 500 Abyssal Demon Wolves while keeping Lu Fang protected. Their first major offensive limitation appears against the Hell Demon General, whose armor sharply reduces their physical damage. Lu Fang kills the boss himself and subsequently upgrades their summoning skill to 150% attribute inheritance 8 9 10.

Blood Wolf Association Assault

During the attack on Jiangcheng No. 1 High School, the ten Money Ghosts break into the fighting to protect the teachers. Their intervention kills a level-45 elite, tears through the attackers’ defensive line, and turns the collapsing ground battle into a stalemate with a developing counterattack 16.

Their success does not settle the entire battle: Lu Fang recognizes that the three enemy leaders above level 100 could overturn the advantage if they became free to act 17.

Dungeon Grinding and Advancement Funding

The Money Ghosts become Lu Fang’s main dungeon-clearing force. They smash through Frost Cavern’s monsters and traps and overwhelm the Frost Tyrant before its recovery mechanic can save it. They later continue clearing Hell-difficulty dungeons, including Black Rock Volcano, as Lu Fang rapidly gains levels 26 27 34.

At his first advancement bottleneck, Lu Fang uses them to solve a money-making problem rather than an experience shortage. Ten independent dungeon runs operate alongside his own for more than twenty hours, producing the mountain of drops he submits for 3,251 material-purchase quests 38 39 40.

Fangfang Chamber of Commerce Challenge

A single Money Ghost catches level-150 Zhou Yue’s saber and nearly knocks him unconscious with one restrained punch. Lu Fang then fields all ten against the four level-200 executives Chen Guangmao, Lin Man, Wu Zhao, and Shen Qinghan 45 46.

The executives manage to destroy one summon and temporarily trap the group, but Lu Fang counters with replacement, healing, and formation-breaking skills. Once he orders the Money Ghosts to halt, the four executives concede. The summons subsequently stand behind him as he asserts control over the chamber 47 48 49.

When Fu Yun and Lu Chen later appear while everyone else in the hall is immobilized, Lu Fang immediately manifests the ten Money Ghosts before learning that the visitors have come to recruit him into Heavenly Dragon 50.
