Lin Ze joined the Ministry’s new Special Operations Team and pursued Death Eaters and their Ministry connections. Sent to France to investigate magical contraband, he traced a shipment to Hugo Bados and entered a suspected hideout alone.
Lin Ze uncovered Bados’s transformation experiments in France, then returned to Britain and pursued the truth about Sirius Black’s conviction. He found Peter Pettigrew hiding as Scabbers, and Pettigrew confessed to betraying the Potters as Sirius’s retrial began.
Lin Ze rescued Aila from her Obscurus, secured her a place with Quinn and Amy, and uncovered new leads through Karkaroff’s memories and the Ministry’s investigations. His search for an object tied to Lucius Malfoy led him into a confrontation with Rodna Grindelwald, who brought him to his study to question his unusual magic.
Lin Ze joined Prisoners, seized Voldemort’s diary, and used it to gain leverage over Lucius Malfoy while pursuing Newt Scamander in Brazil. After surviving a vampire attack and meeting Newt, Lin Ze followed Bellatrix Lestrange into a Miami garage, where the diary’s phantom clashed with a Killing Curse.
Lin Ze survived Bados’s Dragon King Potion and brought Bellatrix back to Britain, where he rescued Frank and Alice Longbottom. After helping Quinn and Aila reach Hogwarts, Lin Ze became leader of the Ministry’s Third Team and began investigating a series of disappearances.
Lin Ze investigated a series of killings that led him to a Muggle cult trying to restore a sealed vampire progenitor. After tracing the vampire’s history through the Mulcibers and the Black family, he confronted Miriam’s followers at Brighton Pier, where a black boat arrived and its mist engulfed the cultists.
Lin Ze and his allies fought a vampire awakening at the docks, where Dumbledore ultimately pinned the primordial vampire beneath the sea. Lin Ze then traced hidden experiments to Fearn Borgin and Old Mulciber, uncovering several wizarding families' vampire research and obtaining a new lead in Muggle London.
Lin Ze investigated the Invisible Veil and followed an ancient passage through the Other Side to Avalon. Stranded there, he clashed with witch hunters and joined Grimm to pursue a giant after finding Old David dead and his son injured.
Lin Ze investigated the Black Forest’s expanding curse and learned it was a living magical creature that he could not destroy. He joined Saira to investigate a haunted watchtower, uncovered a magic array linked to Morgana, and set out toward Crow Valley to learn more about her.
Lin Ze rescued Sirius, uncovered Constantine’s connection to a hidden shrine and a living Shedding God, and helped Arthur prepare to claim the throne. The arc ended with Lin Ze presenting the Sword in the Stone at the palace as Arthur watched in disguise, while Constantine ordered Lin Ze seized.
Lin Ze and Sirius returned from the magical realm, where Lin Ze pursued the Malfoy case and uncovered a network trafficking in wizard remains tied to Hugh Greengrass and Claude Weil. After rescuing Ben and Weiqi from an attack, Lin Ze followed Weil’s records to a guarded building in Holloway District.
