Talent and Combat Systems
Talent Awakening
The Heavenly Dao awakens innate abilities according to each participant’s four attributes and inherent nature 1.
- Ranks, lowest to highest: F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, and SSS 1.
- Unique talents: Every talent of SS rank or above is one of a kind; two people cannot awaken the same such talent 1.
- Qin Feng’s awakening: Receives the SSS-rank talent Endless Extraction 1.
- Village results: Announces that Village No. 911 has 787 F-rank awakenings, 194 E-rank awakenings, 17 D-rank awakenings, and two awakenings of C rank or higher 2.
Combat Assessment and Energy Distribution
- Combat ratings: Calculates star ratings from the four basic attributes, excluding innate abilities. Consequently, the assessment can substantially underestimate humans with powerful or multiple talents 3 5.
- Early beast standards: Lists ordinary level 1 beasts at three stars, level 2 beasts at four stars, and level 3 beasts at five stars 3.
- Team rewards: Distributes a defeated beast’s leveling energy according to each participant’s contribution rather than splitting it equally 8.
Heavenly Dao Light Screen
Participants summon the translucent Heavenly Dao light screen through thought. It initially provides personal information and village chat, with additional channels opening as requirements are met 1 10.
| Feature | Function and availability |
|---|---|
| Personal information | Displays level, attributes, talents, skills, and combat assessment. Later panels also show reputation, divine calling, equipment bonuses, and unallocated attribute points 1 18 26. |
| Village chat | Allows villagers to communicate. Avatars show their actual appearances without beauty filters, alongside names and ages 1. |
| Rankings | Opens when someone in the village reaches level 3. Initially displays only the village’s top 100 participants by level 10. |
| Hyperspace trading | Allows participants to list goods, receive exchanged items, and have trades processed automatically 20 21. |
| Resource appraisal | Classifies submitted resources by tier and trading value; tea leaves qualify as tier 0, while ordinary stones and weeds are judged unranked and without trading value 34. |
| Regional chat | Opens when two villagers reach level 5 or above. Every 1,000 novice villages form a zone; Village No. 911 belongs to Zone No. 1 37. |
| Quest channel | Opens after Qin Feng activates a quest token. Separates personal and public quests and allows participants to review unfinished quests 45. |
Channel Restrictions
- Alternate spaces: The hidden valley disables rankings while leaving personal information and chat available. Qin Feng’s leaderboard entry turns gray, and its progress does not update normally while he remains inside 16 19.
- Resource wagers: Temporarily disable both competing villages’ rankings and link their chats. Participants may read the opposing village’s channel but cannot post there 24 39 40.
- Regional posting limits: Participants below level 5 may speak three times daily; levels 5–9 receive ten messages, and level 10 or above receives thirty 37.
Rewards and Blessings
Level 10 Placement Rewards
The Heavenly Dao awards treasure chests to the first 100 villagers to reach level 10. Rewards are issued immediately upon reaching that level rather than at the end of the assessment 10.
| Placement | Reward |
|---|---|
| 1st | One gold treasure chest 10 |
| 2nd | One silver treasure chest 10 |
| 3rd | Three bronze treasure chests 10 |
| 4th–10th | Two bronze treasure chests each 10 |
| 11th–100th | One bronze treasure chest each 10 |
- Chest grades, lowest to highest: Black iron, bronze, silver, gold, dark gold, purple diamond, epic, and mythical. Higher grades offer better chances of high-grade items 10.
Reputation
Reputation rewards first discoveries and achievements. Reaching specified thresholds grants blessings from the Heavenly Dao 12 34.
| Documented achievement | Reward |
|---|---|
| First kill of a level 1 mutated ferocious beast | One reputation point; subsequent kills of that category do not grant the same first-kill reward 12. |
| First discovery that roasted meat rapidly restores stamina | One reputation point 20. |
| First use of the hyperspace trading channel | One reputation point 20. |
| First discovery that hot tea relieves mental fatigue | One reputation point 34. |
| First use of a quest token | One reputation point 45. |
| Reaching ten reputation | Novice Elite title and +5 each to strength, agility, constitution, and mental energy 34. |
Judges
Judges hold a rare divine calling dedicated to slaying evil creatures that violate the Heavenly Dao’s rules. Only one is chosen from every billion people 18.
- Hidden trial: Qin Feng becomes a level 1 Judge after killing the dried corpse, earning ten judgment points and completing the Heavenly Dao’s hidden trial 18.
- Initial blessing: Becoming a Judge grants +20 to each of the four basic attributes 18.
- Advancement requirements: Level 2 requires both 100 judgment points and the D-rank Darkness Manipulation talent 39.
- Level 2 reward: Qin Feng receives another +20 to each basic attribute upon advancing 39.
Resource Wagers
Resource wagers are compulsory inter-village contests initiated through a Resource Wager Token. The token can only be activated by the village’s highest-level participant 23 33.
| Rule | Effect |
|---|---|
| Winning village | Resources double, and every participant receives 20 attribute points 23 31. |
| Losing village | Resources are halved, and every participant loses 20 attribute points 23. |
| Decisive participant | The person who reaches the target level first receives an additional 50 attribute points and a silver treasure chest 23 39. |
| Initiator modifier | The token doubles the initiator’s rewards or penalties, including increasing the additional 50-point victory reward to 100 points 33. |
| Preparation period | A ten-minute countdown precedes the contest 24 40. |
| Exploration benefits | The first wager unlocks maps and an ordinary-beast bestiary for levels 1–10; the bestiary excludes mutated and king-tier beasts 25 33. |
Documented Contests
- Village No. 137 against No. 911: A race to produce a level 5 participant. Qin Feng reaches the target first, securing No. 911’s victory; afterward, the linked chats separate and rankings return to normal 23 30 31.
- Village No. 446 against No. 911: A later wager raises the target to level 8 39.
Quests and Restricted Areas

Breaking the Five Elements Seal
- Activating a C-rank quest token opens Village No. 911’s quest channel and grants a quest with no time limit 45.

- Rewards include a dark gold treasure chest and additional rewards described as extremely generous 45.
