In Ace's vision, multiple apprentice Spellbooks would be used to select gifted mortals, establish contracts, spread magical knowledge, and gather people to collect and analyze runes, construct spell models, and explore the world's true knowledge for him.
He would gather the wisdom of the masses and make them work for him, forging his own path of magic.
Ace simply called it a Spellbook. The physical book consisted of six sheets of magical paper, its spine made from the small central horn of an Iron Bone Triangle Ox, a magical material capable of storing magic power and spiritual power.
The Spellbook's cover was made of exceptionally tough magical paper mixed with Demonic Beast bones. On it was a Hexagram Pattern. This pattern possessed no actual extraordinary effect; it was a symbol of magic from Ace's previous life, which was why he used it here.
Directly beneath the Hexagram Pattern was engraved a sentence: "Keep secrets, watch and aid each other, equivalent exchange, respect knowledge, seek true knowledge."
The back of the Spellbook had Lesser Incomplete Transfiguration recorded and preloaded within it. Its owner could sacrifice an ordinary item to the Spellbook, granting it the ability to transform into that item.
The first page was the ritual page. In Ace's plan, this Spellbook could record a great number of rituals with wondrous effects. At present, the only rituals it could provide were the contract ritual and the equivalent exchange ritual, along with a preloaded one-use illusion spell.
