Ace smiled and returned Daina's salute. "Hello, Junior Wizard Apprentice Daina. I am the Firebearer, Ace."

Daina, dressed in Demon Hunter attire, beamed like a flower. She slung her shield onto her back, tucked her shortsword into the leather sheath behind her, and stepped into Ace's home in her leather boots.

Once they reached the sitting room, Daina hung her sword and shield on the wall. Ace waved the servants away.

Lowering her voice, Daina said excitedly and respectfully, "Mr. Ace, I never imagined you had actually pioneered the path of magic! I had suspected it before—Introduction to Wizards was so rigorously logical, it suited your style perfectly!"

"And, and, who was that iron-masked man I saw when we made the contract? He scared me half to death!"

Ace looked warmly at the chattering Daina. Touching Glimmer's button, he transformed into Iron Masked Fire Fist and said:

"Congratulations, Daina. You have passed my test. On the path of magic ahead, we will travel together."

"Mr. Ace, you were that iron-masked man?" Daina's face fell slightly, but she quickly adjusted her expression. "You are far too modest. With your wisdom, how could I possibly be worthy of traveling alongside you? It would already be wonderful just to follow you!"

"Do not belittle yourself too much. You are someone I chose. If you are so modest, are you saying my judgment is flawed?"

Ace deliberately adopted a stern tone. He extended his right hand as magic power surged, then continued, "Daina, you studied under me for a time. Now, are you willing to become my disciple?"

Upon hearing this, Daina solemnly extended both hands and knelt on both knees before Ace. "I am willing, great Lord Fire-Lighter!"

"You need not be so formal." Ace helped Daina to her feet with one hand.
