Background / History

Originating from Douluo Continent's ancient era, the Asura God was the only one of the Five Great God Kings stated to have become a god on Douluo Star. He was regarded as Douluo Continent's greatest historical figure and among its most talented and powerful individuals. As a God King, he became one of the Divine Realm's Enforcers and held considerable influence through his law-enforcement faction. 201 215

He selected Tang San as his successor and intervened directly when Guang Yu nearly killed Tang San, using a projection of lingering consciousness and a spatial rift to extract Tang San and Tang Hao. He subsequently instructed Tang San to visit the City of Slaughter after reaching the Soul Emperor Realm. 121 122

The Asura God continued to interfere in mortal affairs by helping the King of Slaughter fully seize Tang Chen's body, enabling the parasite to use Tang Chen's accumulated Asura God Power and become a Demigod. 172 201 He viewed Guang Yu's growth as an unacceptable future threat—especially after recognizing that Guang Yu's potential might surpass his own—and resolved to eliminate him even at the cost of violating Divine Realm Rules. 201

To assassinate Guang Yu and Qian Renxue before their ascensions, he secretly arranged for three Hundred-level Divine Officials to descend to Douluo Star, promising them divine positions in return. Guang Yu killed all three, then used an Endless Arrow to send one official's head into the God Realm as an open declaration of war. After Guang Yu created a God King-level divine position, the Asura God formed an alliance with the Sea God to kill him. He gathered 602 allied gods and officials in the Asura God Domain to confront Guang Yu's faction upon their arrival in the Divine Realm. 222 243 244

During the God Realm War, the Asura God initially fought Guang Yu evenly with their Super Divine Swords, but Guang Yu's dual divine powers gradually overwhelmed him. Guang Yu and Qian Renxue then formed the Ice Light Saint Angel, whose power made the Asura God feel it rivaled the Dragon God's. He was forced to kneel, lost the support of most of his forces, and was ultimately driven into desperation. 246 250 251

After burning his life origin failed to reverse the battle, the Asura God offered his Divine Realm Central Key to the God of Destruction in exchange for rescue. Destruction intercepted the Ice Light Saint Angel's finishing blow, took the key, and then abandoned him. 252 253 254

The Time God later extracted the Asura God's memories before the assembled gods, exposing more than ten instances of his deliberate violations of Divine Realm Rules, including manipulating Tang San's arrival on Douluo Star, intervening in mortal realms, and dispatching officials to murder Guang Yu. With his crimes publicly confirmed, Guang Yu formally judged and executed him using the Light Judgment Sword. 255

He is ruthless toward both enemies and followers. When Sea God attempted to flee, the Asura God refused to save him because Sea God no longer had value in the battle; he was willing to let his remaining loyal subordinates charge into certain death to buy time. 251 252
