An Yubei kept playing with Ji Shang's Adam's apple, even asking Ji Shang to make it move.
An Yubei liked the smooth, slippery feeling as it bobbed. It was so round and fun to play with.
He was having fun, but Ji Shang was suffering.
Beneath An Yubei, he was going out of his mind.
But what could he do? If he didn't dote on his own little darling, who would?
Fortunately, this sweet torture didn't last long. Lu Jinsheng found the mechanism and opened the coffin lid.
Lu Jinsheng reached in and pulled An Yubei out, and only then did Ji Shang breathe a sigh of relief.
He really had been on the verge of losing control.
By then, Li Liang had already run off out of guilt. The escape room's door opened, and the three of them left too.
They had lunch at noon, then tried some other attractions in the afternoon.
The day left them utterly exhausted, and in the end, Ji Shang carried An Yubei to the car.
After a whole day of wild fun, An Yubei felt as though his legs no longer belonged to him. They were sore, swollen, and numb, so he didn't want to take another step.
Fortunately, Ji Shang doted on him and liked carrying him too.
This unconditional pampering made a little boy jealous.
The little boy begged his father to carry him. His legs were killing him, and he didn't want to walk either.
His father didn't want to spoil him and tried reasoning with him, but the little boy simply wouldn't listen.
"I won't listen! I won't! Why does that big brother get to be carried, but I don't? Daddy, you don't love me!"
"That big brother's daddy really loves him. He still carries him even though he's so big! Unlike you, Daddy. All you do is lecture me and trick little kids."
"Daddy, you don't love me! I'm telling Mommy when we get home."
The little boy protested his father's behavior until his father had no choice but to indulge him and carry him. He couldn't help it-he was afraid the boy would tell on him when they got home and he would end up kneeling on a washboard.
But the little chubby boy was rather heavy, and his arms couldn't take it.
He glanced at Ji Shang, who was carrying someone with ease, and couldn't help marveling. How did this man have such good stamina?
If he had that kind of stamina, his wife wouldn't complain that he couldn't perform in bed.
An Yubei heard what the little boy said and laughed delightedly in Ji Shang's arms. "Gege, that little boy said you're my daddy. Haha."
Hearing the word "daddy" left Ji Shang rather tempted. Actually, being "Daddy" wasn't out of the question.
An Yubei held a stuffed husky in his arms, while Ji Shang held him.
Once they were in the car, Ji Shang felt rather displeased as he watched An Yubei cherish the stuffed husky in his arms.
Lu Jinsheng had won this stuffed husky for An Yubei from a claw machine. He had succeeded on his first try, without wasting a single extra token-one attempt, one hit.
An Yubei adored it and had been holding it ever since he got it.
Ji Shang frowned, supporting An Yubei in his arms as he asked, "Do you like it that much?"
Sitting on Ji Shang's lap, An Yubei found a comfortable position to nestle into before kissing the stuffed husky's forehead and nodding. "I do."
After An Yubei entered the orphanage, his only memory of his parents was that they had given him a stuffed husky.
The toy wasn't particularly special or all that pretty, but because it was his parents' last gift, An Yubei treasured it dearly.
Even when the other children wanted to borrow it for a cuddle, An Yubei couldn't bear to let them have it.
Every night, he had to hold it to sleep, as though he were holding his mommy and daddy.
He didn't know why his mommy and daddy hadn't wanted him. Perhaps they had some unavoidable difficulty!
Later, the stuffed husky went missing, and An Yubei never found another one like it.
He hadn't expected that, while merely passing a claw machine just now, a casual glance would reveal the toy he had longed for day and night.
He bought a few tokens to try to get it, but his skills were terrible. Despite trying many times, he couldn't get it out.
An Yubei grew a little impatient, and in the end, Lu Jinsheng won it for him.
Although the toy wasn't worth much money, it was An Yubei's only remaining memory of his parents.
Ji Shang toyed with An Yubei's earlobe, his voice a little sullen. "Then do you like the toy, or do you like me?"
An Yubei froze for a moment, then couldn't help laughing. "Gege, are you even jealous of a stuffed toy?"
Ji Shang said nothing. Was he jealous of the toy? He was jealous of Lu Jinsheng.
Lu Jinsheng had given him the toy, and he didn't like it.
Seeing that An Yubei genuinely liked it, Ji Shang said nothing more.
He patted An Yubei and said, "Sleep for a while if you're tired."
Nestled in Ji Shang's arms, An Yubei drowsily closed his eyes and gave a very soft "Mm."
Soon, his breathing grew steady. Ji Shang gently tugged at the toy in An Yubei's arms. He wanted to replace this damned dog.
There were lots of stuffed toys in the trunk, all of which Ji Shang had bought from the claw machines.
Ji Shang wasn't very good at using the claw machines either, so he had simply paid the owner for all of them and given them to An Yubei!
But An Yubei only liked this dog Lu Jinsheng had won. He wouldn't even glance at the others.
It was so frustrating.
Anything Lu Jinsheng gave him was good?
That wouldn't do!
He tugged at the damned little dog in An Yubei's arms, slowly pulling it out of his embrace.
As though sensing something, An Yubei knitted his brows uneasily, then tightened his hold.
An Yubei squirmed in Ji Shang's arms and whined for him not to go.
"Don't leave me."
Ji Shang couldn't bear it and hurried to soothe An Yubei. "Mm, I'm not going anywhere. Go to sleep, baby!"
"Be good!"
The gentle coaxing worked. An Yubei's tightly knitted brows relaxed, and he nuzzled against Ji Shang's arms before falling asleep again.
Ji Shang felt a headache coming on. An Yubei was like a baby being weaned who couldn't do without his pacifier.
The car came to a smooth stop, and Ji Shang carried An Yubei into the house.
An Yubei was truly exhausted. He didn't even wake up.
Ji Shang carried An Yubei straight into his own room and laid him on the bed. "Xiao Bei, time for a bath. Bathe before you sleep."
After playing all day, he was covered in sticky sweat. He would only sleep comfortably once he was clean.
An Yubei gave a drowsy whine, then soon opened his eyes halfway and said clingily, "Gege, wash me. I don't want to wash myself."
An Yubei was utterly exhausted and had seriously overdrawn his stamina. Especially after sleeping for a while, his physical fatigue had reached its limit, and he didn't even have the strength to undress.
He hadn't wanted to bathe at first, but then he smelled the sour odor on his body, so he begged Ji Shang to help him wash.
[Gege indulges me and dotes on me. A bath definitely won't be a problem.]
Ji Shang: "...!"
It wasn't that he didn't want to, but bathing An Yubei would be agony.
When Ji Shang remained silent for so long, An Yubei gazed clingily at him with misty eyes and asked softly, "Gege, don't you want to bathe Xiao Bei?"
"I want you to help me wash. I don't have any strength left. Please?"
Ji Shang knelt on one knee on the floor and raised a hand to rub An Yubei's head, emotions surging fiercely within him.
The fire inside him flared up again. His gaze darkened as he leaned toward An Yubei. "All right, then. But Xiao Bei has to be good and do as he's told."
"Don't cry out even if my touch hurts."
An Yubei bit his lip. [It feels like Gege's going to eat someone. I'm so scared!]
