Shi Wei navigated Xu Xirui’s schemes and a career-threatening encounter with company executives while Ji Hanchuan repeatedly stepped in to support him. After Ou Wen tried to remove Shi Wei from the production, Shi Wei disrupted Xu Xirui’s dinner with a suona and grew unsettled by his own jealousy toward Ji Hanchuan.

• Shi Wei and Zhuo Xiao returned to “Our Life,” where they raced to gather corn, fished, cooked, and completed a charity challenge while Ji Hanchuan watched and donated under the name “Shi Wei’s Fan.”
• Xu Xirui’s on-camera call exposed an accusation that he had traded sexual favors for a role, but Billion Star’s livestream campaign shifted public opinion toward believing he had been framed.
• Shi Wei visited Ji Hanchuan on set, signed an IOU for Ji Hanchuan’s donation, and then traveled to X City for a meeting arranged by Ma Xianbei.
• Vice President Li pressured Shi Wei at a bar, but Shi Wei threatened him into backing down and later warned him to keep Xu Xirui from retaliating.
• Ji Hanchuan met Shi Wei at the station and helped suppress rumors about the bar incident, while Shi Wei explained what happened and asked Ji Hanchuan not to intervene.
• Lin Xinyang tried to get Shi Wei removed from the production, but Luo Sixi dismissed him, and the cast later united against Ou Wen’s demand that Shi Wei leave.

Shi Wei and Ji Hanchuan grew closer through a birthday celebration and intimate filming scenes, while Ou Wen became fixated on Shi Wei and the Xu family tried to exploit his past. The arc ended with Shi Wei recovering in the hospital after resisting Xu Xirui and Ou Wen, and preparing to deal with the situation himself.

• After Shi Wei hurt his toe, Ji Hanchuan carried him back, and Shi Wei joked with Zhuo Xiao about being together with Ji Hanchuan before Ou Wen confronted him.
• Ou Wen tried to force Shi Wei off the production, but Shi Wei exposed his secret encounter with Xu Xirui and stood up to his threats.
• Ji Hanchuan took Shi Wei to a manor, gave him a sports car for his birthday, and celebrated with him through dinner, fireworks, and a movie.
• Shi Wei and Ji Hanchuan rehearsed and filmed an intense romantic scene, while Ou Wen watched them and decided he wanted Shi Wei.
• Ou Wen tried to win Shi Wei over with extravagant gifts, but Shi Wei rejected him, and the production wrapped with Zhuo Xiao planning to leave with Shi Wei.

Shi Wei exposed Xu Xirui and Gao Zhizhang, reconciled with Ji Hanchuan, and secured a new agency while confronting the Xu family over his mother’s painting. The arc ended with Ji Hanchuan’s mother, Song Nian, testing Shi Wei’s acting and appearing to strangle him during a scene.

• Shi Wei persuaded Ou Wen to help stage an accusation against him, then Ji Hanchuan helped him withstand Gao Zhizhang’s pressure while Ma Xianbei revealed the truth and quit Billion Star.
• Ou Wen learned Xu Xirui had manipulated him, and after evidence of the incident surfaced, Billion Star fired Shi Wei before Shi Wei’s plan brought Xu Xirui’s career and company support crashing down.
• Shi Wei accidentally posted a confession plan using Ji Hanchuan’s name, then prepared a romantic welcome at home and Ji Hanchuan embraced him.
• Ji Hanchuan apologized, and he and Shi Wei agreed to start over, and they spent three days together before Ji Hanchuan announced his retirement plans and offered Shi Wei his team.
• Shi Wei signed with Haihe Entertainment and told Ma Xianbei that he and Ji Hanchuan were married, then accepted Xu He’s invitation to the Xu family birthday banquet in hopes of recovering his mother’s painting.
• At the banquet, Shi Wei confronted Li Yinyin, evaded the Xu family’s efforts to draw Ji Hanchuan into their business, and escaped with Ji Hanchuan after finding him unconscious beside Xu Xirui.
• Shi Wei recognized that the painting Xu He sent was not his mother’s final work, decided to investigate the real painting, and received an audition for Madman.
• Song Nian returned and urged Ji Hanchuan to divorce Shi Wei, but Shi Wei won her attention by reading her books and later appeared bald at her matchmaking event, angering her.
• Song Nian criticized Shi Wei’s interpretation of Madman, then acted out a scene with him and took the victim’s role before Ji Hanchuan came home to find her sitting on Shi Wei with her hands around his throat.
