Peter made a surprised expression. "Wow, this... okay. If I can't kiss anyone in my life, I'll probably be irritable too."

Scott turned around suddenly. "Parker, this joke is not good!"

"Do you think you can understand her?" Scott dropped these words coldly and strode away.

Peter looked at his back and sighed, "Did I go too far?"

Qin shook her head. "I don't blame you. Scott has always been protective of Rogue. She saved his life. But when Rogue becomes like this, anyone will be sad."

"Yeah... a sense of humor is my defense mechanism." Peter smiled self-deprecatingly, "Okay, I'll go apologize to her."

"Don't force it--"

"No, you have to apologize when you need to apologize." Peter smiled at Qin, "Otherwise it wouldn't be me."

He took out Danger Room, threw the duffel bag in the living room, turned on his hearing aid, and soon found Rogue in the garden. She was curled up behind a rose bush, sobbing softly.

"If my apology can help, I think you look good in pink." Peter walked over slowly and sat next to her.

"I... I shouldn't yell at you." Rogue wiped his eyes, "I'm sorry."

"It's my fault." Peter shrugged, "Qin told me about your abilities. If it were me, if I knew I couldn't kiss anyone else in my life, I would probably blow up the whole city. You just have a bad temper, but you're already great."

Rogue stared at him. "You know, the way you apologize is to continue to annoy people."

"I'm not used to apologizing." He paused, "Okay, I apologize. But you look like you are depressed all day long and the whole world owes you five million, and I find it annoying. So I'm going to help you change it."

Rogue looked at him as if he were a madman. "... How can I help?"

"I want to cure you." Peter grinned.

Rogue looked confused. To be honest, Peter didn't blame her for not believing it.

That afternoon, Peter put things in his room and went to find Qin to take him to the laboratory.

The manor's laboratory is not as luxurious as Baxter Building, but the equipment is specially designed for Mutants's abilities, which makes it more convenient. As soon as the door opened, Rogue walked in hesitantly. "Are you looking for me?"

"Oh, Miss Ballet, sit down." Peter pointed to the chair and walked over with his notebook, "I told you, I'm going to find a way to cure you. When did you wake up?"

Rogue sat down warily. "When I kissed my boyfriend."

"Tongue?"

"Why do you ask this?!"

"Because if you use your tongue, it means that the oral mucosa can also absorb Absorbing Man's life energy." Peter quickly wrote it down.

"What tongue! It's the mouth! Lips!" Rogue blushed.

"Oh, kiss on the lips. Okay, that's skin-to-skin contact." Peter nodded, "Then I know the general direction."

"How are you going to help me?" Rogue asked.

"I don't know." Peter didn't even raise his head, "But I plan to try."

The door suddenly banged and smoke erupted, and Kurt and Kitty appeared noisily in the laboratory again.

"Don't steal my things!" Kitty snatched the comb from Kurt's hand.

"That's mine!"

The two quarreled for a while before they noticed the situation in the laboratory.

"What are you doing?" Kitty asked.

"I'm studying Miss Ballet's ability." Peter picked up a scalpel, "Now, don't move."

Rogue stared at the scalpel, his voice tight. "What are you doing with that?"

"This?" Peter looked at the knife and smiled, "I'm going to cut open your stomach and take out your kidneys--wahahahaha!"

"What?!" Kurt rushed forward in horror, "No! I won't let you--"

Kitty hit him on the head. "He is obviously joking, Kurt."

Rogue covered his forehead. "Kill me."

Peter smiled, made a small cut on his left arm with a knife, and collected some blood. The wound healed immediately. He dropped the blood on the back of Rogue's bare hand and waited for a while, but nothing happened.

"Interesting." Peter scrolled on his notebook, "This means that your ability is not transmitted through the blood. When the body comes into contact, what you absorb is not something in the physical sense... it is bioelectricity."

He asked Rogue how he felt when he absorbed it. Rogue said that it was like a surge of energy, and he could also see the other person's memory. Peter's eyes lit up. "You can get it Memory? That makes sense!" He began to write and draw quickly, "Your skin is like a superconductor, attracting the other person's bioelectricity at the moment of contact, including the memories stored in the brain. This is amazing!"

The three mutant teenagers looked confused.

"I designed a device." Peter put down the pen, "A temporary solution. It cannot cure the problem, but it allows you to control your abilities."

He rummaged through the laboratory, looking for a quantum suppressor, but only found a gene silencer. He cursed, then rummaged through the cabinets, and finally found a few key components.

"Kurt," Peter said without looking back, "Go to Kitty's room and get all her pink hair ties."

"No problem, boss!"

"Wait, you-" Before Kitty could finish speaking, Kurt had already disappeared with a "bang".

"Why am I always the unlucky one!" Kitty wailed.

"Don't worry, you are helping your friend." Peter smiled.

A few seconds later, Kurt came back holding several hair ties. "These are the only pink ones, and there are two black ones."

"That's enough." Peter wrapped several small devices around the hair tie and fixed a circle of chain-like metal pieces with a shimmering light generator in the center. He threw the first one to Rogue and said, "Put it on."

Rogue caught it and looked at the pink hair tie with disgust. "This is too girly."

"Would you rather wear a pink hair tie, or never touch anyone?" Peter threw another one over.

Rogue gritted her teeth and put the hair band on her wrist, then her other hand, her ankle, and finally one on her neck. After putting on all five hair bands, Peter took out a homemade remote control and pressed the switch. A slight current passed by, and the hairs on Rogue's arms stood up. She shuddered. "What does this feel like?"

"This is called 'protection'." Peter stretched out his hand, "Trust me, just touch it."

Rogue looked at him and swallowed nervously. Peter's hand slowly fell, and his fingertips touched the back of her hand. Rogue held his breath.

Nothing happened.

Peter smiled, covered her whole hand with his, and gently held her hand. Nothing happened.

"Tolai!" Kurt shouted excitedly in German, "Peter, you are so awesome!"

Rogue lowered his head and stared at the intertwined hands, his eyes suddenly turned red. "How... how could this happen?"

"The device will release a magnetic field within a range of one meter. Your skin is a natural conductor. You can complete the energy transfer before touching anyone, but this magnetic field will interfere with the transfer process and make it invalid." After Peter explained, he looked at their blank faces and shrugged, "Simply put, it creates an insulation layer for you."

"Then... then I can touch people again?" Rogue's voice was trembling.

"Yes, and kissing is also possible - according to my estimation, even the tongue is no problem." Peter had just finished speaking, Rogue had already pounced on him and hugged him tightly.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

"Okay, okay." Peter patted her back, "So happy? Then let's go get some treatment Scott?"

Rogue let go of him and showed a sly smile. Kitty and Kurt also exchanged malicious looks.
