Peter was standing there, his red suit shining brightly under the only light in the room. The only difference was that he was wearing a metal helmet instead of a cloth mask.

Peter pulled Silk, pulled the man in the white suit in front of him, grabbed his neck and lifted him into the air.

He looked around: four men, one pressed by the door panel... and a woman.

"Phi...Felicia?"

Her eyes widened instantly, Peter couldn't tell whether it was hope or something else.

Then the shock was replaced by fear and pure rage.

He looked at the man whose throat he was holding. "I guess you have the final say here?" His fingers slowly tightened.

"Kill, kill him!" the man shouted hoarsely.

The remaining four thugs immediately drew guns from their clothes and pointed them at Peter.

But Peter doesn't care.

Two figures, one red and one blue, rushed in from both sides of him and kicked several thugs to the ground.

It was Mei and Felicity. One was Spider-Girl, and the other was Scarlet Spider. They quickly eliminated their opponents, kicked their guns away, and knocked them unconscious.

"Mom!" Scarlet Spider took off her hood and rushed to her mother.

"Felicity?" Felicia was so surprised that he was almost speechless.

"Oh my God, Mom, what did they do to you?" Felicity burst into tears when he saw his mother's scarred body.

"I'm fine." Felicia stammered, but his eyes always fell on the red and blue figure, "Why are you here?"

Peter looked at the man holding his hand. "Obviously, I'm here to kill him. Boy, do you know what it feels like to have your neck broken? Don't know? Do you want to try it?"

"No!" Felicia shouted, "Don't kill him!"

Peter turned to look at her. "He hurt you, Xiaomao."

The nickname came out of his mouth and he couldn't hold it back. Seeing her like this, how could he hold it back.

"No, please. He must face trial." Felicia said, Mei and Felicity helped her untie the rope and helped her stand up. She walked tremblingly in front of Peter, her legs and feet shaking with pain.

Peter could smell the pain on her body. That smell... was the worst smell he had ever smelled, and he didn't want to describe it.

She put her hand on his shoulder. "Please... this is not you. This is not what your daughter wants to see."

Peter looked at her pleading eyes and finally let go of his hand. Richard·Fisk fell to the ground like a bag of potatoes, covering his neck and gasping in fear.

"Richard·Fisk." Peter's bone spurs stabbed out from the back of his hand again, tearing the suit. He put the sharp claw tip against the man's neck and heard Felicia take a breath of air.

"Your father fled this city for a reason. This is my only warning. If you dare to come back again -" his voice sounded like ice, "I will disembowel you and hang your body on Empire State Building. Do you understand?"

The blond man nodded wildly, eyes fixed on his sharp claws.

"Very good." Peter retracted the bone spurs and slapped him unconscious with a backhand.

He stood up and looked at the three women. Felicia stared at him in disbelief. The two girls' expressions were unclear because they were wearing masks.

"We have to go." He said, "I called the police. The police will be here at any time."

"Yes!" Felicity quickly supported her mother, "Let's go, Mom, we have to get out of here."

"No." Felicia finally looked away from Peter, "I have to wait for the police to come."

"Mom, they can handle it! You need to go to the hospital!"

"No." Felicia shook his head, "I have been tracking this man for several weeks, and he has never left any evidence. Until now. I am the proof of his crime, and I must stay here to testify. You three must leave immediately."

"I won't leave you here!" Felicity shouted.

"Felicity, don't argue with me. Please."

"Mom--"

"She's right." Peter said, "She is the only chance to put this bastard in jail. Let's go first and follow on the top of the building. As long as there is any abnormality, we can rush back to her within a few seconds."

Felicity still wanted to argue, but Felicia suddenly hugged her. The girl froze.

"I'm proud of you, Xiaomaomi. But now I have to do this. Come on, I'm fine."

Felicia let go of his daughter and pushed her away. Mei and Peter pulled her away the same way. Peter turned back and glanced at the older version of the woman he loved deeply. Their eyes collided, and his heart beat wildly.

They watched from a distance as Felicia was put into an ambulance. Richard·Fisk and his men were loaded into an armored prisoner vehicle.

It is not difficult to find his location. With the police records and the notes Felicia left at home, it only takes a few minutes for Sassy to complete the work.

After Felicia was admitted to the hospital, Felicity immediately changed out of his uniform and ran to stay with him in bed. Mei and Peter stood on the roof of the building across the street, looking at the ward window.

"Thank you dad for me... for lending me the suit." Peter said.

"You're welcome, he's not using it anyway." Mei shrugged, "But I didn't expect you to like wearing... uh, tights."

"Special circumstances." Peter said, "And it's actually quite comfortable to wear." He glanced at Mei, "If you dare to tell me, I won't recognize you."

Mei smiled, "Okay."

She looked at Felicia mother and daughter, and suddenly lowered her voice. "Peter... What you said when you just pinched Fisk... are they true?"

"Kill him?" Peter asked. Mei nodded. "Really."

Mei was silent for a moment. "I thought you wouldn't do that kind of thing."

"I know how. I can do even more ruthless things than that." Peter looked at her, "In my world, I loved Felicia, and I still love it now. Seeing the people I care about get hurt, even if it's not the same version, if Felicia hadn't stopped me, I really don't know what I would have done."

Mei scratched her head. "I don't know why, but I always feel like you are betraying my mother... or something like that."

Peter smiled, "Mei, strictly speaking I'm not your dad, you know that right?"

"I know. It's just... it's hard to imagine you who doesn't love my mother."

"That's the multiverse. There are even worlds where you're born with red hair. Think about it."

Peter and Mei stayed on the roof for a whole day to prevent Fisk's accomplices from retaliating. Felicia was placed in a private ward, and Felicity had to leave in the evening to let her mother rest.

Mei went to accompany Felicity, leaving Peter alone to guard Felicia.

He guessed that Mei wanted to leave some time for him and the woman he loved, even if she was not her mother. To be honest, if he could raise a child like Mei, his life would be considered complete.

Around nine o'clock in the evening, Peter noticed Felicia sitting up from the hospital bed. He thought she was going to the bathroom, but he saw her walking towards the window and opening it.

She raised her head and their eyes met. She waved to him.

Peter swung over and stuck to the outer wall next to the window.

"Hello, Xiaomao." He whispered. Her face was wrapped in bandages and her left hand was in a plaster.

"I'm sorry I couldn't find you sooner."

She smiled, "I heard from Felicity that you have tried your best. She also said that you thought she was too slow, so you just put her on your shoulders and ran."

Peter smiled, "She is an amazing gymnast, almost better than you. But she has to move faster. I plan to ask Mei to get her a set of Silk-Shooter. To be a Spider hero, she needs this."

Felicia lowered his eyes. "I tried my best to keep her away from this life... but she still rushed in."

"Because there are too many shadows of you on her."

Felicia smiled. She looked up at him, her beautiful green eyes falling on the lenses of his helmet. "You are not my Spider-Man, right?"

"Yeah. What gave me away? Claws?"

"It's not just that." Felicia smiled, "But the more important thing is - my Spider-Man will never threaten to kill anyone. No matter who the other person is."

"Because your Peter·Parker does not believe in revenge." Peter moved to the window, and Felicia stepped aside to let him in. He took off his helmet and revealed his true face, "I am Peter·Benjamin·Parker."

Felicia opened his eyes wide. "How could..."

"Do you know about parallel universes?" He put his helmet aside.

Felicia nodded. "... That's it." Her fingers touched his face, slid along his chin and cheeks, and passed through his hair. Peter had goosebumps all over his body, but he resisted showing it and the corners of his mouth raised slightly.

"You are so young." She murmured.

"In this world, you are no longer young." Peter looked at her, "But to be honest, seeing you now, I am looking forward to what my Xiaomao will be like in the future. You are like a good aged wine, the older you get, the more mellow and mellow you are."
