He ducked low and quickly counterattacked, with the fighting skills taught to him by Natasha flashing through his mind.
The two seemed to be dancing together - each move could be anticipated or sensed by the other party. Spider-Sense roared harshly, and Peter dodged and fought back. They got closer and closer. He could even feel her desire for him, but both of them suppressed it.
Jessica punched him in the ribs. He grunted, pushed his knee against her abdomen, and then struck her cheek with an elbow. She caught the elbow and hit the bridge of his nose with a heavy punch, like a hammer falling.
Jessica has received professional training. She can block every attack and unload every kick. But she is not used to fighting against the same kind of people - a person whose agility is as good as hers. Peter guesses that she relied on agility to crush her opponents in previous battles.
So Peter chose to cheat.
She punched, and he stepped aside, grabbed her waist, and threw her across the parking lot. Jessica had just stood firm when he looked up and saw a blue energy beam flying towards him.
"Fuck--" The energy hit her, sending her flying and smashing into a car.
Peter gasped. "Damn it."
"Are you okay?" Felicia asked.
"A few times," Peter wiped the corner of her mouth. Jessica crawled out of the deformed car door, the car alarm kept screaming. She roared angrily and punched the hood, smashing the speaker system to pieces.
"What are you doing here?" Peter growled.
"You stole my things." Jessica roared back. As the distance increased, the attraction weakened a lot.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Peter lied.
"Stop pretending, I know it's you. You even smell the same."
Peter made a mental note: She can also detect pheromones. But she said, "So what? I only take back what belongs to me."
Jessica was startled. "What?"
"Wyndham is not the kind of person you think, Jessica. He is not a good person, he is a monster, and he works for monsters." Peter said word for word, "He killed my parents and made me an orphan. He did it to gain power. He wanted to create an army like us and turn humans into weapons--just like he did to you."
"W-what are you talking about?!" Jessica's voice trembled, "Wyndham is a good man! He is my father's friend! He took me in when no one took care of me! When I--"
"Do you know what he did with your blood?" Peter interrupted her. Jessica's eyes met his, "He took your blood sample, right? Did he tell you what it was for?"
"He... he said he was trying to find an antidote for me." Jessica's voice lowered.
"No, he wanted to copy your ability." Peter stood up straight, "He asked people to use children for experiments, Jessica. Those children died, all died, just to create more people like you and me. Do you know how many children they killed? Thirty-one. If I hadn't stopped them, there would have been thirty-two more!"
"You, you lied!" Jessica roared, "He wouldn't do that kind of thing!"
"Then ask him! Ask him what Hunts Point's laboratory is doing! Ask him what he did with your blood! Ask him the names of his thirty-one children!"
Jessica's expression was extremely distorted. She roared and rushed over, green energy suddenly burst out from her palms, and she attacked Peter crazily. Peter dodged her messy fists and feet, and the green light exploded suddenly, and the shock wave knocked him away.
"Peter!" Felicia glared at Jessica, "You bitch!"
Peter rubbed his head and got up from the ground - he remembered it, he must learn this trick. He looked up and saw Felicia and Jessica fighting together. Black Cat hit Jessica's sternum with a knee. The latter bowed in pain, but immediately raised his hand and blasted out a ball of green light, hitting Felicia's abdomen.
"Felicia!" Peter jumped up in the air, caught her firmly, and leveled her carefully, "How are you?"
"It hurts like a dog bite," she cursed and raised her head, "Where is she?"
Peter looked around - there were only two of them left in the parking lot. "She ran away."
"Fuck." Felicia stood up, "It feels like she's fighting you, but she doesn't hold back at all."
Peter nodded. "Yes... but how did she find me? She should be at Italy and Wyndham--" He suddenly froze, "No..."
"What's wrong?"
"Last night, when we started the hard drive...Wyndham probably had a tracking program buried in it, which can be located once connected to the Internet."
"Is this possible? Didn't you immediately destroy the computer and router?"
"Yes, but that was after the Hydra mark was displayed. It was entirely possible that it sent the signal before the mark popped up." Peter cursed in frustration, "They know where I am, which means...Aunt May, Uncle Ben!"
The two rushed into the car, and Peter drove wildly, running through several red lights. When he got home, he opened the door and rushed in. "Aunt May! Uncle Ben!"
The TV in the living room was still on, playing Uncle Ben's favorite news; there were washed dishes in the kitchen sink; but there was no one everywhere.
"This is impossible..." Peter paced back and forth.
"Try calling them? Maybe they have something urgent to do." Felicia said with hope.
Peter dialed Uncle Ben's number and was picked up after a few rings. "Hello? Uncle Ben?!"
There was silence for a moment on the other end of the line, and then a voice came. "Hello, Mr. Parker... or should I call you, Spider-Man?"
Peter recognized this voice. "Wyndham." He lowered his voice, "Where are they?"
"They are still alive at the moment," Wyndham admitted, "But not for long. They are in my hands. If you still want to see living people, bring all your father's research materials. I will give you one hour, and I will send you the time and location."
The phone hung up. Peter stared at the phone.
Felicia put his hand on his shoulder. "Are they still alive?"
"Yes... he wants my father's hard drive. He also knows that I am Spider-Man."
"How did you find out?!"
"He saw me using my Spider ability and guessed that I was in New York and was related to Baxter Building, and Spider-Man always appeared in that area - it was not difficult for him." Or he simply read S.H.I.E.L.D.'s file. Peter didn't say anything.
"What do we do now?"
"I want to get the hard drive back." Peter walked out.
"It's us." Felicia corrected him.
Peter turned around suddenly. "This is no joke, Felicia! The people I care about are in danger!"
"That's why I can't let you go alone!"
"I can't put you in danger--"
"I will never let you go alone!" she yelled back.
They faced off for a long time. She refused to give in. Peter couldn't imagine life without Uncle Ben and Aunt May, but without her...
He finally nodded. "Okay. But please, protect yourself. Your own survival is the most important thing."
Felicia smiled, "That was never in the plan, Laohu."
