Mystique already knew what Li Ge was going to say before he spoke.
So she was not particularly shocked.
After all, Li Ge had already told her what he had in mind.
And just as she had expected, Li Ge proposed establishing Mutants Nation.
"Establish a nation!?"
But the others were nowhere near as calm as Mystique. Their mouths fell open and their eyes widened.
Of them all, Magneto reacted the most strongly.
He abruptly clenched his fist and stood up, staring intently at Li Ge, his eyes filled with the delight and appreciation of finding a kindred spirit.
"Li Ge! That's an excellent idea. I've also thought about establishing a nation of our own for mutants."
"But there's one major problem I've never found a solution to."
"We don't have enough land!"
"You have to understand, all the land in this world already has an owner!"
Magneto's words surprised Li Ge. He had not expected him to have considered establishing a nation too.
But considering Magneto's longstanding belief in mutant supremacy, it seemed understandable that he would have such an idea.
Still, what Magneto had just said seemed to hint at something.
There was not enough land!
All the land had owners!
And establishing a mutant nation required enough land.
"Erik, do you mean..."
"Seizing territory?"
Li Ge said whatever came to mind, voicing his thoughts directly.
"Of course, Li Ge. That's exactly what we should do!"
"We mutants are stronger and more perfect than humans. Doesn't that make us better suited than humans to be the masters of this world?"
"I've had this idea before, but I never had enough power."
"But now!"
"You! Li Ge! You are the power I've always wanted!"
Magneto spread his arms like a king embracing the world, his words forceful, full of emotion, and deeply compelling.
Even knowing that Magneto was saying this to win him over, Li Ge could not deny that he truly was doing it for mutants.
"No! Erik! You can't do that!"
"That would only provoke a war between mutants and humans. We can't destroy the hard-won peace we have now!"
"Li Ge! I hope you'll use your power to preserve peace. You're still a child. You shouldn't get involved in these matters so early!"
The Professor clearly could not agree with Magneto's idea of seizing territory. He was also very afraid that Li Ge would be swayed by Magneto and actually join the Brotherhood of Mutants.
With Li Ge's abilities, it would not take long for their power to grow strong enough to threaten the entire world.
He dared not imagine what destruction that would bring upon the world.
The others in the meeting room were all stirred by the idea of establishing Mutants Nation, but none dared voice their opinions.
They had always followed the Professor's arrangements. They had never imagined that things capable of turning the world upside down would start with them.
At that moment, they did not even dare breathe loudly. They realized that Li Ge's idea might completely change the fate of mutants.
Both excited and nervous, they all waited for Li Ge's answer.
Seeing their eyes fixed on him and their tense, expectant expressions, Li Ge found it oddly amusing.
Wasn't seizing territory Magneto's idea?
Had I ever said that was what I had in mind?
"Erik, Professor, I think you've misunderstood something!"
"I only said I wanted to establish a nation. I never said I wanted to seize territory from humans!"
"What are we? We're mutants!"
"Why should we use ordinary people's methods to establish a nation?"
Li Ge looked around, drawing everyone's attention to himself as he calmly posed a question.
While the others were still thinking, Mystique recalled her conversation with Li Ge, and her eyes suddenly lit up.
"Li Ge, do you mean using our mutant abilities?"
Mystique no longer remained silent, eager to find out whether her guess was correct.
"Oh? I didn't expect you to remember what I said, Raven."
"It's exactly what you're thinking. What I've always wanted is a true Mutants Nation, not an imitation of the human world!"
Seeing that the Professor and the others did not understand Mystique's words, Li Ge continued.
"You should know that in ancient times, many of us mutants could have been regarded as gods!"
"As gods, shouldn't we have a divine kingdom of our own?"
Li Ge's words seized their hearts at once. What kind of wild fantasy was this!?
Before they could speak, Li Ge decided he no longer wanted to discuss this sort of question with them. He would go straight to his ultimate move!
"Professor, you've seen my world, haven't you?"
"What do you think about me creating another world?"
Li Ge put the question to rest outright and opened up a new direction, looking at the Professor with a grin.
Magneto, Mystique, and Shadowcat looked somewhat bewildered.
But the eyes of the X-Men lit up. They all knew about what had happened at the training grounds last time. Even Beast had learned about it while chatting with the others.
"Li Ge, didn't you say your world needed to materialize slowly?"
"And doesn't your world belong to you alone?"
Li Ge's words immediately reminded the Professor of the magnificent sight of a god creating a world that he had witnessed within Li Ge's mental space.
"Professor, there's a reason my world materializes slowly. I designed all the rules inside it, and it takes time to gradually perfect them."
"Besides, only this current world belongs entirely to me. It exists independently of the real world."
"If I design another world just like reality, without designing complicated rules, it'll be an alternate dimension dependent on the real world."
"With the real world supporting it, creating that world won't be all that slow."
As a highly intelligent man, the Professor easily understood what Li Ge meant.
It was like companies: one was built from scratch, while the other had the support of a parent company.
Even if the newly established company had excellent prospects, it would not develop as quickly as one supported by a parent company.
Magneto and the others listened as Li Ge kept talking about such lofty things as worlds, rules, and dimensions.
Although they vaguely understood what he meant, they still found it unbelievable.
Were mutants truly gods?
In their minds, even the strongest mutants were only on Magneto's level.
Things like creating worlds and designing rules were feats only true gods could accomplish.
They had never imagined that a mutant could wield such power.
