Li Ge awakened a power that let him design abilities, created Redstone and a virtual world, and joined the Xavier Institute. He solved Cyclops’s optic-blast problem and began discussing a dangerous solution to Jean Grey’s Phoenix Force and second personality.
Li Ge separated Phoenix’s destructive personality, demonstrated his power to create a world, and began establishing Krakoa as a refuge for mutants. While he studied magic at Kamar-Taj, the X-Men and Magneto gathered living things for Krakoa, drawing S.H.I.E.L.D.’s attention and leaving Coulson questioning Li Ge about magic.
Li Ge returned home, gave his parents Divinities, and began building a research institute to develop his Nine Heavens path. After Coulson tested a power Li Ge granted him, Peter came to the institute and learned how Li Ge planned to study supernatural abilities and structure the path to godhood.
Li Ge recruited Peter, Bruce, Coulson, and Tony into his plans for the Path to Godhood, then took Tony to a parallel universe to rescue mutants from Stryker’s experiments. After freeing the captives, Li Ge revealed his immense Tathagata form above Earth and brought the world to a standstill.
Li Ge disarmed the Bald Eagle and used Tony and Apocalypse to establish a mutant nation, awaken new mutants, and organize its protectors. With the Nine Heavens framework completed, Apocalypse prepared to return to his own world through a fixed portal, while the Professor sought time to notify other countries.
Li Ge and Apocalypse advanced the Nine Heavens, drawing Thor, Loki, and Asgard into the Path to Godhood while Coulson searched for Captain America. The First Heaven’s Thunder Domain became Thor’s trial, and Steve Rogers awoke to a world seventy years after his disappearance.
Apocalypse exposed Hydra’s infiltration of S.H.I.E.L.D. and helped Harry capture Flint Marko before opening the Nine Heavens to S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and mutants. The agents gained power and prepared to purge Hydra, while mutant trials continued and Apocalypse brought Thor and Loki together at the temple.
Apocalypse recruited Logan and Magneto to take control of the Sentinel threat, then built Raven a living armor suit and sent her to attack Trask’s facility. After Charles tried to persuade Apocalypse to destroy the Sentinel research and negotiate, Apocalypse challenged his idea of balance and left him alone in a fading mental world.
Li Ge created the Third Heaven and used a timeline change caused by the Sentry Armor broadcast to carve out a virtual Solar System he named the Samsara Realm. As mutant society rebuilt itself around the armor, Tony began animating his golden giant, Norman endured a trial, and General Ross sought Bruce Banner’s help with Li Ge.
Li Ge developed the Samsara Realm into a dangerous trial world, drew General Ross and other newcomers toward the Nine Heavens, and reclaimed the Shadow Ring while preparing for Loki’s invasion. After meeting the Ancient One and granting Natasha a thread ability, Li Ge negotiated with Death and Galactus to use their information in creating a realm of gods and demons.
Li Ge guided Loki’s invasion of New York toward its expected course, then revealed the Nine Heavens and drew the world’s consciousness into the Samsara Realm. As he built the new virtual world and its instances, Strange began learning how to survive and earn power there.
Li Ge built the Nine Heavens into a path for people to gain power, tested its battlefield with the Avengers, and brought allies from another universe to face Thanos. The Avengers fought Thanos’s forces while Li Ge confronted Thanos directly and caught his Tyrant blade.
Li Ge captured Thanos, used the Infinity Stones to create the Spirit Realm, and helped Wanda restore Vision before absorbing her Chaos Magic. As Li Ge began forming chaos power in the Third Heaven, trouble spread across the main world and General Ross prepared specialized Titans against him.
Baron Zemo’s Hydra forces clashed with the Avengers as Tony reconciled with Wanda and Pietro, while Erik and Arale stirred the Divine Revelation Church against Stryker. Across the Nine Heavens, new settlements formed and Loki confronted Kingpin, leaving their conflict underway.
As Li Ge gestated Chaos Power, his allies explored the Gourmet Space and learned how instances could become divine kingdoms. Li Ge began organizing Samsara Squads for cosmic exploration, while Loki expanded his forces and Stryker rejected a modified Wolverine clone as unsuitable for his planned army.
As governments pressured the Avengers over the spread of Transcendent power, Li Ge prepared a space expedition and created Demon Blade and the Cat Clan from Venom’s offspring. The stretch leaves a conflict brewing between General Ross’s Titan Legion and Loki’s Shadow Kingdom, while Mephisto asks Loki to arrange a meeting with Li Ge.
Li Ge drew the Titans into Paths Space, captured Mephisto after Loki drove him from the Shadow Kingdom, and welcomed Wanda and Vision into his world. He then prepared a crystal-core auction, prompting people and organizations across the worlds to seek entry.
Li Ge prepared and opened the World Auction, where people from four worlds competed for weapons, suits, and mounts while he and Wanda confessed their feelings. As the auction moved on to sealed angels, Li Ge chose James as a disciple and began preparing a separate invitation for him.
Li Ge founded Immortal Mountain, guided his disciples and companions through the auction’s final offerings, and established a Secret Realm in the Himalayas. The arc ended with Strange asking Li Ge to resurrect his girlfriend, and Strange agreeing to wait for Li Ge’s main body to act.
Li Ge traveled with his friends to Mars, where Thor and the others rebuilt Asgard while Li Ge transformed the Solar System’s planets and completed his god-demon body. After recalling his clone and reshaping Mars’s God Tree into a living divine artifact, Li Ge reassured Wanda that he shared the clone’s memories and feelings.
