Arc 26The Violet Qi Contest

Su Yi secured the Demon Clan’s share of the Innate Primordial Violet Qi, reunited Suirenshi with his past, and left the demons and Sages to pursue their own paths. In the Thirteenth Heaven, he protected Ye Xiaxuan by killing officials who threatened her, prompting the Jade Emperor to order an apology.

  • Ye Tian welcomed Su Yi, Yuan Haoran, and Gou Yan to Fusang Demon City, where he revealed the contest for five strands of Innate Primordial Violet Qi and Eastern Emperor Taiyi later recruited Gou Yan’s support.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi sent Su Yi into the arena, where Su Yi defeated Kui Heifeng, Guiche, and Taowu, earning the City of the Lost the Demon Clan’s first strand of Innate Primordial Violet Qi.
  • Su Yi and Gou Yan found Yang Jian’s gods battling the revived Suirenshi, and Su Yi stopped Suirenshi from eating Gou Yan before sharing a meal with him and the Three Pure Ones.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi fought the Three Pure Ones while Su Yi watched, then Suirenshi chose to return to Earth as an ordinary person and Yuan Haoran and the rabbit each chose new companions.
  • Su Yi took Gou Yan to the Moon Palace to propose to Chang'e, but after she refused and Gou Yan also rejected the forced match, Su Yi warned her not to target Ye Xiaxuan.
  • At a restaurant, Su Yi killed Jiang Wenque and the Star Lord of Fire Virtue after they tried to exploit Ye Xiaxuan’s innate primordial violet qi, then killed four more Star Lords who came seeking revenge.
  • Chang'e reported the killings to the Jade Emperor, who learned that Su Yi had forbidden a visit and ordered the heavenly gods to apologize to Su Yi and Ye Xiaxuan.
Chapters 626–650 Vol. 7 Read

Ch. 626An adventure in the demon city

Su Yi, Yuan Haoran, and the rabbit entered Fusang Demon City with Gou Yan and met the city lord Ye Tian, who invited them to drink at the Three Treasures Liuli Tower. Ye Tian began arranging demon companions for them, while Yuan Haoran was immobilized and tormented by a she-bear, and the rabbit asked to take a female rabbit demon away.

  • Gou Yan introduced Su Yi, Yuan Haoran, and the rabbit as his powerful friends to Ye Tian at Fusang Demon City's gates.
  • Ye Tian welcomed the group into the city and invited them to the Three Treasures Liuli Tower to discuss why the Demon Emperor had called the Ten Thousand Demons Assembly.
  • Ye Tian arranged she-bears for Su Yi and Yuan Haoran, and Su Yi secretly made Yuan Haoran unable to move or speak as the she-bear flirted with him.
  • The rabbit asked Ye Tian whether any female rabbit demons were available, and Ye Tian arranged for a lesser demon to bring one.
  • The rabbit asked whether he could take the female rabbit demon away for a while.

Ch. 627A Few Too Many Ideas

Ye Tian told Su Yi and Gou Yan that the Ten Thousand Demons Assembly might exploit the Buddhist Sect’s decline and the appearance of five unclaimed strands of Innate Primordial Violet Qi. The news stirred Gou Yan and drew the great demons’ attention to him as a possible future Demon Emperor.

  • The rabbit asked Xiong Da for permission to leave, and Su Yi told him to go if he wanted.
  • Ye Tian said the Ten Thousand Demons Assembly likely intended to target the weakened Buddhist Sect after the Buddha Lord’s nirvana and the Black Water Mystic Nether Great Emperor’s acquisition of Daoist Zhunti’s treasures.
  • Gou Yan speculated that the Black Water Mystic Nether Great Emperor might have reached the Sage Realm and killed Daoist Zhunti.
  • Ye Tian revealed that five strands of unclaimed Innate Primordial Violet Qi had appeared, and Gou Yan became excited at the prospect.
  • Ye Tian suggested Gou Yan could safely obtain a strand because of his father, Demon Master Kunpeng, prompting several great demons to look toward him.

Ch. 628The situation was a little complicated

Ye Tian sought an alliance with Gou Yan by becoming his sworn younger brother, hoping to gain the backing of Kunpeng and the City of the Lost. After Su Yi revealed that he and his companions were powerful Quasi-Sages, the group went upstairs at the Three Treasures Liuli Tower to discuss the coming Ten Thousand Demons Assembly and its five strands of innate primordial violet qi.

  • Ye Tian proposed a blood-sealed oath of sworn brotherhood with Gou Yan, who accepted after recognizing Ye Tian wanted Kunpeng’s protection.
  • Su Yi told Ye Tian he had reached the Seventh Heaven of the Quasi-Sage realm, and claimed Yuan Haoran and Bugs Bunny had reached the Sixth and Fifth Heavens.
  • Ye Tian realized he had exposed the City of the Lost’s strength to the demons in the Three Treasures Liuli Tower and invited the group upstairs.
  • Yuan Haoran escaped the female bear who had pinned him down and vomited outside the tower.
  • Xiangliu Wuqing greeted Ye Tian and joined him and the others as they went upstairs, while the group faced questions about how to handle the five strands of innate primordial violet qi.

Ch. 629He Could Sell Out Anyone but His Grandmaster

Eastern Emperor Taiyi questioned Gou Yan about Su Duanhun after noticing the unusual Quasi-Sages accompanying him. Gou Yan denied knowing anything, and Eastern Emperor Taiyi cast a spell to force the truth from him.

  • Ye Tian greeted Eastern Emperor Taiyi nervously, while Eastern Emperor Taiyi embarrassed Gou Yan by recalling an intimate detail from his childhood.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi examined Su Yi, the rabbit, and Yuan Haoran and wondered how three Quasi-Sages with ordinary bloodlines had come from the City of the Lost.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi dismissed Xiangliu Wuqing and sealed the second floor against outside sound before asking Gou Yan whether he had met Su Duanhun.
  • Gou Yan denied knowing Su Duanhun and concealed that he was protecting his grandmaster, despite Eastern Emperor Taiyi pointing out that Four Descendants City had been destroyed.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi cast a spell on Gou Yan to make him reveal whether Su Duanhun had visited the City of the Lost.

Ch. 630The Demon Emperor Was Overthinking Again

Eastern Emperor Taiyi mistook Gou Yan for a candidate backed by Su Duanhun and offered to help him become Demon Emperor. He convened the Ten Thousand Demons Assembly to organize the Demon Clan’s bid for the Innate Primordial Violet Qi, proposing a contest among representatives of the major demon cities.

  • Gou Yan denied knowing Su Duanhun, and Eastern Emperor Taiyi concluded that Su Duanhun supported him.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi asked Gou Yan if he wanted to become Demon Emperor and promised to help him compete for the Innate Primordial Violet Qi.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi offered Gou Yan the chance to cultivate atop the Fusang Divine Tree, but Gou Yan declined for the time being.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi led the demons to the Ten Thousand Demons Altar and called for the Demon Clan to unite in the contest for the five strands of Innate Primordial Violet Qi.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi said neither Dijun nor he would claim the prize and proposed that representatives of the major demon cities compete for the Demon Clan’s share.

Ch. 631Maybe Demons Just Tend to Overthink Things

Eastern Emperor Taiyi arranged a contest among the Demon Clan to decide who would receive its share of the innate primordial violet qi, and Su Yi entered the arena disguised as Xiong Da. After Kui Heifeng swallowed him, the demons assumed he was defeated, and Kui Heifeng challenged Gou Yan.

  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi favored the City of the Lost by making it send the first contender into the arena.
  • Su Yi volunteered, leaped onto the arena as Xiong Da, and drew mockery from demons who thought he was an ordinary bear.
  • Kui Heifeng challenged Su Yi and dismissed his revealed Quasi-Sage Seventh Heaven cultivation as an illusion from Patriarch Kunpeng.
  • Kui Heifeng transformed into a giant python and swallowed Su Yi, ending the fight in an instant.
  • The demons cheered, and Kui Heifeng challenged Gou Yan to come down and fight.
  • Gou Yan frowned, unconvinced that Kui Heifeng had actually swallowed his grandmaster.

Ch. 632Probing Madly at the Edge of Courting Death

Su Yi defeated Kui Heifeng by escaping his belly with the snake demon’s core and gallbladder, earning the demons’ acclaim as the Black Bear Demon Venerable. Gou Yan then wagered with Eastern Emperor Taiyi over whether Xiong Da could win the Innate Primordial Violet Qi, and Guiche appeared to challenge him.

  • Kui Heifeng swallowed Su Yi, but Su Yi emerged with the snake demon’s core and gallbladder, leaving Kui Heifeng gravely weakened.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi took Kui Heifeng away, while the demons hailed Su Yi as the Black Bear Demon Venerable.
  • Gou Yan and Eastern Emperor Taiyi made a wager: Gou Yan would win a wisp of Red Lotus Karmic Fire if Xiong Da succeeded, but would serve as Taiyi’s slave for ten thousand years if he lost.
  • Guiche, Eastern Emperor Taiyi’s strongest subordinate and a Quasi-Sage Ninth Heaven demon lord, appeared to fight Su Yi for the Innate Primordial Violet Qi.

Ch. 633Over before it even began

Su Yi struck Guiche once and sent him into his domain world, where Jiuying revealed that Su Yi kept demons as pets and might turn Guiche into an ingredient. Back in Fusang Demon City, Eastern Emperor Taiyi and the watching demons could not find Guiche and mistook his disappearance for a display of spatial mastery.

  • Su Yi taunted Guiche, provoking the nine-headed bird into attacking him.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi watched the fight and assumed Su Yi intended to teach Xiong Da a lesson.
  • Su Yi's bear paw struck Guiche without a visible burst of power, and Guiche vanished into Su Yi's domain world.
  • Jiuying told Guiche that he was Su Yi's pet and warned that Guiche might eventually become an ingredient.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi searched Fusang Demon City for Guiche, while the demons assumed Guiche had hidden himself with a spatial technique.

Ch. 634There Was No Need to Keep Fighting

Su Yi, posing as Xiong Da, defeated Taowu after Guiche mysteriously disappeared, and Eastern Emperor Taiyi suspected Su Duanhun was behind both vanishings. Taiyi ended the contest and awarded the Demon Clan's first wisp of Innate Primordial Violet Qi to the City of the Lost.

  • After Guiche disappeared, Eastern Emperor Taiyi declared Xiong Da the winner, while the demons speculated that Guiche had thrown the fight.
  • Taowu challenged Xiong Da and asked Eastern Emperor Taiyi whether he might disappear too; Taiyi said he could not know.
  • Taowu transformed and attacked, but Su Yi overpowered him and prevented him from using his demonic power.
  • Su Yi repeatedly punched Taowu until Taowu vanished like Guiche, leading Taiyi to suspect Xiong Da was Su Duanhun's disciple.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi ended the contest and awarded the Demon Clan's first wisp of Innate Primordial Violet Qi to the City of the Lost.

Ch. 635Eastern Emperor Taiyi Made the First Move

Eastern Emperor Taiyi ordered the demons to prepare to conquer the Buddhist Sect and occupy several territories, while directing Su Yi and the others to a suspected site of Innate Primordial Violet Qi. The chapter ended with Eastern Emperor Taiyi leaving the competition over the first wisp to them because he could not intervene himself.

  • After Su Yi stepped back, Eastern Emperor Taiyi declared that the Demon Clan would conquer the Buddhist Sect, and the demons cheered.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi sent demons to befriend Jinchanzi in the Great Tang Immortal Kingdom and occupy the surrounding territory, while ordering them to build ties with Bian Zhuang near Mount Fuling and make the local humans submit.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi named the current dwellings of Little White Dragon and Sha Seng as further targets for the demons.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi used a spatial divine art to bring Su Yi, Gou Yan, and the others to the fringe of the Primordial Abyss, where many orthodox gods had gathered the previous day.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi said the location might hold the first wisp of Innate Primordial Violet Qi and told Su Yi and the others to handle the search, since he was bound by agreements not to act.

Ch. 636The mysterious corpse

Su Yi and Gou Yan followed a battle over innate primordial violet qi, where Yang Jian and the Heavenly Court's proper gods fought a powerful red-haired monster. Su Yi recognized the monster as the corpse of Suirenshi, which had absorbed demonic qi and begun refining the violet qi, and the corpse awakened before the battle could be resolved.

  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi gave Gou Yan the Red Lotus Karmic Fire and left him to seek the innate primordial violet qi himself.
  • Gou Yan spotted a battle nearby and sneaked toward it while Su Yi concealed himself, Yuan Haoran, and the rabbit.
  • Gou Yan saw Yang Jian and dozens of the Heavenly Court's proper gods attacking a red-haired monster that was protected by its hair and surrounded by violet qi and golden mist.
  • Su Yi recognized the monster as Suirenshi's corpse, which had absorbed demonic qi in the Primordial Abyss and obtained the modified innate primordial violet qi.
  • Yang Jian struck Suirenshi with golden light, burning away its red hair and revealing its desiccated body.
  • Violet flames appeared in Suirenshi's eye sockets as it released a terrifying aura, and Yang Jian realized the corpse had come back to life.

Ch. 637They're Killing a Bird!

The Heavenly Court gods failed to harm Suirenshi and fled as he finished transforming. He grabbed Gou Yan and began roasting him, leaving Gou Yan calling for help.

  • Yang Jian ordered the Heavenly Court gods to retreat and asked Li Huanzhang to summon the Jade Pure Primordial Heavenly Venerable.
  • Holy Mother Huoling questioned Yang Jian's decision to involve a Sage, and Yang Jian instead contacted Perfected Yuding.
  • Perfected Yuding arrived, sensed Suirenshi's terrifying power, and fled, prompting Holy Mother Huoling and the other gods to run as well.
  • Suirenshi's transformation exposed Gou Yan, and he asked Gou Yan about Patriarch Kunpeng before deciding that birds could be eaten.
  • Suirenshi seized Gou Yan and burned away his feathers, while Gou Yan shouted for his grandmaster to help.

Ch. 638Gou Yan, Overwhelmed by Shame and Indignation

Su Yi stopped Suirenshi from eating Gou Yan and reunited with the resurrected ancient friend, then began cooking a meal with ingredients from the City of the Lost. Gou Yan watched from afar and mistook Su Yi’s use of his wings for a selfless plan to protect him, leaving him overwhelmed with guilt and gratitude.

  • Su Yi stopped Suirenshi from eating Gou Yan and revealed himself, prompting Suirenshi to recognize him as Shennong.
  • Su Yi sensed that the innate primordial violet qi he had modified gave him control over Suirenshi’s life and death, and considered how Ye Xiaxuan’s qi was different.
  • Su Yi brought out the Shennong Cauldron and recalled how he and Suirenshi had first met and how he taught him to cook with fire.
  • Su Yi began cooking with ingredients from the City of the Lost and roasted Gou Yan’s wings while Suirenshi waited eagerly.
  • Gou Yan saw Su Yi cooking his wings and convinced himself that his grandmaster had sacrificed them to protect him, then felt ashamed for having doubted and abandoned Su Yi.

Ch. 639Enough to scare a demon to death

Su Yi shared roasted wings with the resurrected Suirenshi while Gou Yan nervously faced the Human Emperor and the Three Pure Ones. After recognizing the Three Pure Ones, Suirenshi asked Su Yi whether immortals still controlled the Human Clan’s fate, leaving the question of his response unresolved.

  • Gou Yan charged back toward Suirenshi but surrendered his robe when Suirenshi demanded clothes, and Su Yi offered him a roasted wing that he refused.
  • The Three Pure Ones arrived, bowed to Su Yi, and joined him and Suirenshi, while Gou Yan panicked at the sight of Taoism’s revered figures.
  • Su Yi introduced Gou Yan as Kunpeng’s son, and the Three Pure Ones praised the young demon’s prospects.
  • Suirenshi recognized the Three Pure Ones and asked how the Human Clan was faring in the Immortal Realm.
  • Suirenshi asked whether immortals still controlled the Human Clan’s life and death, and Su Yi had not yet answered.

Ch. 640I'm Fine with Either, Super Brave

Suirenshi and the Celestial Venerable of the Dao and Virtue discussed the gods’ treatment of the Human Clan while Su Yi prepared hot pot. When Eastern Emperor Taiyi arrived and called Su Yi his brother, the Three Pure Ones took offense and prepared to fight him together.

  • The Celestial Venerable of the Dao and Virtue denied that the Immortal Realm had interfered in the Human Clan’s lives, and Suirenshi questioned whether Sages counted as human.
  • Su Yi set out ingredients for hot pot, and the Primordial Heavenly Venerable eagerly took over chopping after sensing unusual Dao patterns in the kitchen knife.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi arrived and greeted Su Yi as his brother, prompting Sect Leader Tongtian to challenge him over his remarks about Fusang City.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi agreed to fight all three of the Three Pure Ones, and Su Yi encouraged the Primordial Heavenly Venerable to accept.
  • The Three Pure Ones rose to face Eastern Emperor Taiyi, who realized that calling Su Yi his brother had offended them by claiming seniority over their master.

Ch. 641A battle between Sages?

Su Yi sealed the Three Pure Ones’ and Eastern Emperor Taiyi’s powers and let them settle their dispute in a hand-to-hand fight while he, Suirenshi, and Gou Yan watched and ate. Gou Yan was left baffled by the Sages’ clumsy brawl as the three Sages gradually gained the upper hand.

  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi warned the Three Pure Ones that the Heavenly Dao would strip the first Sage to strike of their Dao fruit, but Su Yi asked the Heavenly Dao directly and it gave them permission to fight.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi called Su Yi “Brother Su,” further angering the Three Pure Ones, who attacked him; Su Yi sealed everyone’s cultivation and told them to fight farther away.
  • Gou Yan urged Su Yi to flee, but Su Yi conjured seats, a table, and watermelon so they could watch with Suirenshi while the hot pot cooked.
  • The Three Pure Ones and Eastern Emperor Taiyi fought with their physical strength alone, trading punches and kicks until the Three Pure Ones pinned him down and began landing blows.
  • Gou Yan finished his watermelon and watched the fight, astonished by how awkward the Sages’ hand-to-hand combat looked.

Ch. 642The author was a literary youth

Su Yi watched Eastern Emperor Taiyi and the Three Pure Ones brawl while Gou Yan studied their fighting and Suirenshi ate. After learning about modern Earth, Suirenshi agreed to return there, and Su Yi suggested he write a novel.

  • Su Yi fed roasted Kunpeng wing to Gou Yan and encouraged him to study the brawl between Eastern Emperor Taiyi and the Three Pure Ones.
  • Suirenshi finished his meal, and Su Yi showed him a video of Earth and discussed how different powers treated the Human Clan.
  • Suirenshi said he would return to Earth and observe as an ordinary person without competing for the Human Clan’s faith.
  • Su Yi proposed that Suirenshi write a novel called “The Sui Emperor Returns Reborn and Only Wants to Be an Ordinary Person.”
  • Su Yi packed away the hot pot, table, and chairs and announced that he and Suirenshi were leaving while Eastern Emperor Taiyi and the Three Pure Ones were still fighting.

Ch. 643It was farewell

The Three Pure Ones and Eastern Emperor Taiyi stopped fighting and questioned Suirenshi about the innate primordial violet qi he had refined. Su Yi clarified that Suirenshi was neither a Hunyuan Sage nor a Great Dao Sage, then departed to find his wife with Gou Yan while Yuan Haoran and the rabbit chose to stay with others.

  • The Three Pure Ones and Eastern Emperor Taiyi ended their fight, and Celestial Venerable of the Dao and Virtue asked Suirenshi if he had obtained the innate primordial violet qi.
  • Suirenshi confirmed that he had refined the qi, puzzling the others because his aura did not match theirs.
  • Su Yi explained that Suirenshi was neither a Hunyuan Sage nor a Great Dao Sage and revealed their connection could let him lend Suirenshi some of his power.
  • Su Yi asked Yuan Haoran and the rabbit what they planned to do; Yuan Haoran chose to follow the Three Pure Ones, and the rabbit chose to go with Eastern Emperor Taiyi.
  • Su Yi left with Gou Yan to find his wife, and the Three Pure Ones bowed deeply as he departed.

Ch. 644The sapphic situation looked grim

Su Yi and Gou Yan entered the Thirteenth Heaven, where Ye Xiaxuan was guarding the gates and struggling with the female immortals pursuing her. Su Yi then headed toward Chang'e, intending to confront her over how she had treated Ye Xiaxuan.

  • Su Yi showed Yue'er the Demon Emperor's Decree and entered the Thirteenth Heaven with Gou Yan, while Ye Xiaxuan stayed behind to work.
  • Yue'er hinted that she wanted to become Ye Xiaxuan's Dao companion, and Ye Xiaxuan recoiled from her advances.
  • Su Yi walked through the city with Gou Yan, who praised Chang'e's beauty and said he would marry her despite her past marriage.
  • Su Yi revealed that he knew Chang'e had sent women to seduce Ye Xiaxuan and continued toward her, planning to teach her a lesson.

Ch. 645Throwing His Weight Around

Su Yi entered the Moon Palace with Gou Yan to arrange a marriage between him and Chang'e, while Wu Gang followed to keep an eye on them. Chang'e refused the match, and Su Yi pressured Dijun to make her marry Gou Yan anyway.

  • Su Yi teased Wu Gang about his feelings for Chang'e and said he had come to propose on behalf of his grand-disciple Gou Yan.
  • Wu Gang followed Su Yi into the Moon Palace, where Su Yi introduced Gou Yan as Kunpeng's son and argued that he was a suitable match for Chang'e.
  • Chang'e appeared and refused to remarry, declaring that she loved only her late husband.
  • Gou Yan challenged Chang'e to fight after she rejected him, and Su Yi rapped him on the head for it.
  • Su Yi summoned Dijun, who initially misunderstood the proposal, then learned that Chang'e did not like Gou Yan.
  • Su Yi asked Dijun what would happen if he insisted that Chang'e marry Gou Yan.

Ch. 646Forcing Chang'e into Marriage

Su Yi threatened Dijun and Chang'e to stop Chang'e from harming Ye Xiaxuan, while Gou Yan backed out of marrying Chang'e under those conditions. Su Yi and Gou Yan left to wait for Ye Xiaxuan, who arrived angry and expected Su Yi to comfort her.

  • Su Yi restrained Chang'e and threatened to kill Dijun and the immortals of the Thirteenth Heaven if Chang'e chose death rather than marry Gou Yan.
  • Chang'e agreed to marry Gou Yan, while Gou Yan simultaneously refused to marry her under threat of being killed before the wedding.
  • Su Yi withdrew his attack, and Gou Yan explained that he wanted to beat Chang'e before marrying her; Su Yi rejected the idea.
  • Dijun left for work, and Su Yi warned Chang'e that he would kill her if she targeted Ye Xiaxuan.
  • Su Yi and Gou Yan waited at a tavern for Ye Xiaxuan, who arrived looking angry and sat beside Su Yi without speaking.

Ch. 647Do you know what you're saying?

Su Yi took Ye Xiaxuan and Gou Yan to Jiang Wenque’s immortal restaurant, where Jiang Wenque tried to keep Su Yi’s spirit stone and offered Ye Xiaxuan to her Dao companion, the Star Lord of Fire Virtue. Su Yi killed both of them and left with Ye Xiaxuan, setting himself against the Heavenly Court.

  • Su Yi offered a supreme-grade immortal spirit stone while Gou Yan questioned Jiang Wenque about the restaurant serving demon, god, and human meat.
  • Ye Xiaxuan grew sickened by the menu and asked Su Yi to find another restaurant, but Jiang Wenque claimed the spirit stone was a nonrefundable tip.
  • Jiang Wenque invoked the Star Lord of Fire Virtue as her backing, and Su Yi summoned him from seclusion to confront her.
  • Jiang Wenque urged the Star Lord of Fire Virtue to pursue Ye Xiaxuan for her innate primordial violet qi, and he greedily refused to return the spirit stone.
  • Su Yi took Ye Xiaxuan’s hand, killed the Star Lord of Fire Virtue and Jiang Wenque, reclaimed the spirit stone, and left the restaurant.

Ch. 648Tell the Jade Emperor Not to Come

After killing the Star Lord of Fire Virtue and Jiang Wenque, Su Yi let Chang'e report the incident to the Jade Emperor while he strolled through the city with Ye Xiaxuan. The onlookers mistook him for Eastern Emperor Taiyi, and Su Yi and Ye Xiaxuan remained together as they waited to see what would happen.

  • Heavenly guards surrounded Su Yi and his companions after the Star Lord of Fire Virtue and Jiang Wenque died, but the red-robed female immortal ordered them not to attack.
  • Su Yi told the guards he had killed the Star Lord of Fire Virtue for trying to extort him and gave them the choice to report it to the Jade Emperor.
  • Su Yi summoned Chang'e and asked how she would handle the killing; Chang'e said she would report it and would not judge him herself.
  • Su Yi told Chang'e to inform the Jade Emperor but not to come, while the gathered immortals assumed Su Yi was Eastern Emperor Taiyi in disguise and dispersed.
  • Chang'e went to the Cloud-Soaring Treasure Hall, and Su Yi strolled through the streets with Ye Xiaxuan and Gou Yan.
  • Ye Xiaxuan privately suggested escaping to Earth, but Su Yi said he wanted to keep strolling with her, and she promised to stay by his side.

Ch. 649Someone always has a death wish

Su Yi killed the Star Lord of Fire Virtue and four more Star Lords who came seeking revenge, then continued strolling with Ye Xiaxuan and Gou Yan. Chang'e reported the first killing to the Jade Emperor, who surprisingly asked what the Star Lord of Fire Virtue had done.

  • Ye Xiaxuan and Gou Yan followed Su Yi, each imagining the consequences of his confrontation with the Heavenly Court.
  • The Water Virtue Star Lord arrived with the Ketu, Wood Virtue, and Earth Virtue Star Lords to avenge the Star Lord of Fire Virtue.
  • Su Yi destroyed the Water Virtue Star Lord's Weak Water Divine Bowl and annihilated all four Star Lords.
  • Su Yi bought pastries for Ye Xiaxuan and Gou Yan, while Ye Xiaxuan asked how powerful he was.
  • Chang'e reported Su Duanhun's killing of the Star Lord of Fire Virtue to the Jade Emperor, who asked what the Star Lord had done.

Ch. 650The gods of the Heavenly Court all...

The Jade Emperor learned that the Star Lord of Fire Virtue had tried to extort Su Duanhun and resolved to apologize to his master with the Heavenly Court’s gods. After a report confused the deaths of five star lords with an attack by Eastern Emperor Taiyi, the Jade Emperor ordered the gods to go to the Thirteenth Heaven and apologize to Su Duanhun and his wife.

  • Chang'e told the Jade Emperor that Su Duanhun had accused the Star Lord of Fire Virtue of extortion, and the Jade Emperor decided to apologize rather than attack him.
  • The Jade Emperor ordered King Dhritarashtra to summon the heavenly gods, then learned that Su Duanhun had told him not to visit and chose to stay away.
  • Chang'e reconsidered her resentment toward Su Duanhun and pleaded with the Jade Emperor to spare his life, not realizing how powerful Su Duanhun was.
  • A heavenly official reported that Eastern Emperor Taiyi had killed five star lords, and the Jade Emperor concluded the report had mistaken Su Duanhun for Eastern Emperor Taiyi.
  • The Jade Emperor told the assembled heavenly gods to go to the Thirteenth Heaven and apologize to Su Duanhun and his wife for the star lords' actions.
