Su Yi pursued the Heavenly Dao’s plans for Ye Xiaoxuan while Earth prepared for threats from the Immortal Realm and beyond. Disguised as Sect Leader Tongtian’s disciple, he entered Ice Wind City and uncovered a plot to free Jiuying, leaving the ancient dragon loose and terrified of him.
Su Yi freed Jiuying, forced Bian Zhuang into his plans, and assembled a new group for a journey to retrieve Sun Wukong. He left Ye Xiaxuan to find her own way through the Immortal Realm while weighing the Heavenly Dao’s influence over them.
Su Yi visited Chang'e with Zhao Gongming, then returned to help Ye Xiaxuan refine a pill and earn Immortal Spirit Coins through stone gambling. After she acquired several rare treasures, Su Yi left her in a dangerous forest to test her against cultivators seeking her possessions.
Su Yi protected Ye Xiaxuan as she turned a siege into rapid cultivation, then prepared her to lead a Journey to the West team. He also confronted Daoist Zhunti and later entered the Immortal Bath Forest, where he discovered Dijun’s daughters’ souls trapped in a formation.
Su Yi traveled through the Demon Realm with Jade Rabbit and Yuan Haoran, drawing Gou Yan and Kunpeng into his company while guiding Yuan Haoran’s growth. After destroying Four Descendants City, Su Yi disguised the group to enter the Ten Thousand Demons Assembly, where Eastern Emperor Taiyi failed to recognize him.
Su Yi secured the Demon Clan’s share of the Innate Primordial Violet Qi, reunited Suirenshi with his past, and left the demons and Sages to pursue their own paths. In the Thirteenth Heaven, he protected Ye Xiaxuan by killing officials who threatened her, prompting the Jade Emperor to order an apology.
Su Yi guided Ye Xiaxuan through the Immortal Realm as she gathered disciples and faced Jimeng, Luohou, and the Demon Clan. After setting her up to lead her disciples on her own, Su Yi left her to continue west with Jinchanzi.
Su Yi joined the War of the Heavenly Dao, defeated a succession of powerful challengers, and returned to Earth after confronting Xu Sandian over her changes to the planet. Earth had transformed amid the surge of spiritual energy, and Su Yi entered a rebuilt Qingzhou City with Wang Xiu.
Su Yi took control of the Land of Terror and subjected Qian Hao and his followers to a deadly survival game, while Wang Xiu continued treating him as a weaker brother. After returning to Qingzhou City, Su Yi arranged another trial for Wang Xiu and confronted Tian Fei with a summoned beast tide.
Su Yi left Tian Fei to face the beasts, killed a descending god, and dismantled Xu Sandian’s control of the Thirteenth Universe. At Spirit Wood Town, he joined the base, helped shape its new-city plans, and used his knowledge of mutated beasts to build a database as Huang Changyu secured him a home.
Su Yi brought Xu Diandian and Wang Xiu through brutal trials in the Gate of Evolution, helping them grow stronger while concealing his identity. Back in Spirit Wood Town, suspicion of Su Yi faded after he easily defeated Tang Yu, and he arranged to teach at the new school.
Su Yi began teaching about mutated beasts, intervened in conflicts involving the Extreme Earth Immortal Sect and Spirit Void Palace, and exposed the abuse of his student Xiao Wenyu. As his book spread and beasts gained human speech, Su Yi began training Xiao Wenyu on Kunlun Mountain, ending with a hungry python eyed as dinner.
Su Yi trained his students, defeated Ye Ling, and tested Sect Leader Tongtian before leading Huaxia’s counteroffensive. He then reunited with Ye Xiaxuan, ended the hunt for her, and brought her to the Black Water Mystic Nether Great Emperor’s palace to reunite with their companions.
Su Yi fulfilled his companions’ wishes, settled conflicts in the Immortal Realm, and brought Jinchanzi to witness his battle with Wudi. After securing Sha Seng’s path to power, Su Yi continued traveling with Ye Xiaxuan and the Jade Emperor.
