An Jing faced Catherine, and just as Chen Zheng had said, they were evenly matched. Neither could completely trounce the other.
"An Ancient Martial Arts Grandmaster against a supernatural creature... it seems they can't overwhelm them."
Su Cheng thought for a moment, then looked at Chen Zheng.
"Ancient Martial Arts Grandmasters are still mortals, after all. They're much stronger than ordinary people, but their limits are right there."
Chen Zheng nodded slightly.
He had actually only wanted to see what would happen when an Ancient Martial Arts Grandmaster faced a nonhuman creature like Catherine. The result was just as expected: neither could do anything to the other.
Of course, if a Great Grandmaster like Yu Canghai or Jiang Boyue took her on instead, they should be able to defeat Catherine decisively.

Just then, a deafening thunderclap suddenly rang out beyond the window!

Great Grandmaster Yu Canghai was in seclusion at the Su Family villa. If he had drawn a Heavenly Tribulation now, didn't that mean it would strike the Su Family villa...

Su Cheng answered, but there was worry in her eyes.
Heavenly Tribulations had always been legends in China's Ancient Martial Arts world. Although An Jing had previously drawn one because of the immortal qipao Chen Zheng had produced, it had never actually descended.
This time was different. Great Grandmaster Yu Canghai had drawn a Heavenly Tribulation during his seclusion, and most importantly, he was currently at the Su Family villa. Su Cheng couldn't help worrying!
