Background / History

Clan upbringing

Yu Tianheng is born into the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan’s direct line. About three years older than Yu Tianming, he eagerly visits his newborn brother and promises to protect him from bullies 1 2.

His father places heavy demands on his cultivation, including additional training at home. These expectations ease after Yu Tianming awakens Valstrax and establishes himself as the leading talent of their generation. Although Tianheng is the eldest grandson, the younger Tianming receives the position of young sect master 2 16.

Heaven Dou Royal Junior Academy

By the time Yu Tianming enrolls, Tianheng is a fourth-year student in Class One. He helps his brother confront classmates who object to the younger boy’s admission, defeating one heckler while possessed by his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Martial Soul 14 15.

Tianheng already captains a seven-member reserve team formed by classmates who regularly train together. He welcomes Tianming as an additional Power Attack System member and remains captain after his brother declines the position and becomes vice-captain instead 16.

The brothers share a dormitory room. Tianheng gives Tianming a lightning-patterned dagger as an early birthday present and cultivates alongside him while benefiting from whale rubber and the excess energy of the Gold of Life 19 23 29.

Advanced academy and team contest

After reaching the Soul Grandmaster realm, Tianheng proposes that the entire team advance together. He submits their request as captain, and all eight students enter the advanced academy while retaining Tie Zhan as their instructor 30 35 37.

In the subsequent contest against Zhou Yin’s students, Tianheng reveals his thousand-year second Soul Ring. He uses Thunderous Might to knock down two opponents as his team overwhelms the opposition 38.

Return to the clan

Tianheng joins Tianming and their teammates on a visit to the clan. During the journey, he explains that outsiders cannot enter its forbidden ground independently and jokingly warns Yu Feng against sneaking inside 40.

After black-clad attackers ambush their carriages, Tianheng emerges once the battle is over. He acknowledges their Soul Saint escorts and urges the group to leave promptly in case of another attack. They subsequently reach the clan safely 42.

Personality

Tianheng is affectionate and protective toward his younger brother. He promises to defend Tianming from infancy, reassures their father that he will look after him at the academy, and celebrates Tianming’s innate full Soul Power without resentment 1 6 14.

He is proud of his clan and willing to fight when challenged. After defeating a student who insults his brother, he warns that another offense will bring more than a beating. Nevertheless, he also favors restraint once a conflict is settled, advising Dugu Yan to spare others when possible 15 20.

As captain, he emphasizes cooperation rather than individual strength. He organizes a combat drill to integrate Tianming into the team and later coordinates their application to the advanced academy. His handling of Xue Beng is similarly measured: he remains civil but argues against becoming close to the prince because the clan maintains political neutrality 17 37.
