Background and History

Vermilion Bird Clan

The Vermilion Bird Clan suffered grievous casualties before Huo Tian discovered his ancestry. In a volcanic secret realm, he found an enormous Vermilion Bird skeleton whose skull carried a message for its descendants. The deceased elder had left an inheritance and specifically asked the survivors not to seek revenge 4.

The elder belonged to the Li Fire Vermilion Bird Clan. A remnant of his power manifested as a white-haired old man and urged Huo Tian to absorb his Divine Fire Origin to reforge his Vermilion Bird body. During the inheritance, he recognized Huo Tian as the offspring of a Demonic Vermilion Bird and a Li Fire Vermilion Bird—two lineages that should have been incapable of producing a child together 5.

Huo Tian’s Inheritance

Huo Tian initially understood the Vermilion Bird only as his martial soul. The system-granted Vermilion Bird Domain drew him into the volcanic realm, where a divine mark on his forehead guided him to the elder’s remains. Absorbing the inheritance revealed that he was a surviving descendant of the clan, rather than merely a human with a related martial soul 4 5.

Later, Huo Tian entered another secret realm containing ancient Vermilion Bird Clan ruins. There, the Divine Fire Phoenix Bird recognized him as a true clan member and challenged him to battle: it would become his Soul Spirit if defeated, but demanded his Vermilion Bird Origin if he lost. Their battle begins without a recorded outcome in the supplied chapters 43.

Ultimate Fire and Ultimate Darkness

The Nether Radiant Vermilion Bird possesses both ultimate attributes innately, but their incompatibility produces recurring Evil Fire eruptions 1.

• An eruption can rob Huo Tian of reason and make him attack indiscriminately 1.

• Covers a thousand-meter area during the battle with the Black Poison Octopus, burning Soul Beasts beneath the sea 35.
• Enhances the Vermilion Bird True Body and can be stacked with his other domains 35 43.
• Huo Tian believes it may help him attempt to create his own godhood after becoming a Titled Douluo; this remains an aspiration 5.
