Background / History

Na'er is the emotional half of the Silver Dragon King, with Gu Yue as her other self. Despite appearing as a young girl, she retains the perspective and cultivation understanding of a being who was once a god. Her experience of human society is initially limited: she can sense Yali's grief without understanding the significance of mourning the dead 17 19 21.

Yali encountered Na'er by chance and sensed a faint mental connection and closeness to her. She adopted Na'er, accepted her as a disciple, and provided her with exceptional care and resources. Na'er usually stayed at the Battle God Hall and was left with Yali's subordinates to cultivate during her teacher's annual visits to Eastsea City 17 20 23.

Yali also arranged an earlier Spirit Ascension Platform trial to test Na'er's ability to train and survive independently. After persistent pleading, Na'er was finally allowed to accompany her teacher on an Eastsea memorial visit, leading to her meeting with Zhou Yang 17 27.

Appearance

Personality

Na'er has an extraordinary appetite, eating far more than an ordinary person and stripping a chicken wing clean almost instantly. Food can overwhelm her judgment: she tries to seize Zhou Yang's fried chicken after he refuses to share more, cries when he teases her, and quickly recovers when he gives her the remaining half-bucket. She nevertheless recognizes her wrongdoing, apologizes, and treats him to food in return 17 18 19.

Playful and mischievous, she leaps onto Zhou Yang while he is resting, mocks his clothes, and attempts to prank him in his sleep. Yali describes her as somewhat spoiled and willful, but Na'er listens when her teacher intervenes 20 22 23.

Beneath her childish behavior is considerable pride in her identity and talent. Zhou Yang's faster cultivation awakens her competitive spirit. She is also protective rather than blindly confident: when he faces the Golden-haired Lion Mastiff, she remains ready to help him escape despite believing the fight is beyond them 21 35.

• Senses that Dragreder's bloodline is no less powerful than her own 32.
• Detects Dragreder's presence within Zhou Yang's Ryuki form and judges that presence to be no weaker than the Dragon God's 35.

• Yali — Teacher and adoptive mother. Treats Na'er as her own daughter, supplies her cultivation needs, and disciplines her mischief. Na'er notices her teacher's longstanding sorrow and the change in her mood after meeting Zhou Yang 17 20 23.
• Zhou Yang — Friend and Spirit Ascension Platform companion, whom she calls “Big Brother Zhou Yang.” Their friendship begins with a dispute over fried chicken and develops through shared meals, teasing, and his attentive care. His cultivation becomes a benchmark she wants to surpass 19 20 21 32.

Eastsea City Meeting

• Accompanies Yali to Eastsea City to pay respects to someone who has died 17.
• Meets Zhou Yang at the food festival after a chicken-cutlet stall sells out. Their struggle over his bucket ends with her apology and an invitation to explore the food street together 18 19.
• Introduces Zhou Yang to Yali, who later invites him to stay at her courtyard. Learning that he is rank 30 gives Na'er a new cultivation goal 20 21.
• Her position as Yali's disciple alerts Zhou Yang to changes in the timeline: she did not appear near Red Mountain Academy at age six as he expected 14 22.

Intermediate Spirit Ascension Platform

• Shows Zhou Yang around the Spirit Pagoda and helps him prepare to enter the platform 29.
• Mourns the disappearance of the soul beasts' homeland when she sees the recreated primeval forest. Zhou Yang promises to change their situation, and she expresses faith in him 30.
• Initially mistakes Zi-O for Battle Armor, then learns that it belongs to Zhou Yang's Kamen Rider power system. Woz's appearance further deepens her curiosity about him 30.
