Chapters 26–30 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 26The Ren and Du meridians opened

Li Jin and Xiao Wu absorbed the ten-thousand-year whale glue, strengthening their bodies and raising their Soul Power; Li Jin opened his Ren and Du meridians and reached rank 15. Meanwhile, Tang San returned to Yu Xiaogang hungry and learned that his teacher had borrowed money from the dean.

  • Li Jin used his ice element to endure the whale glue's heat, while its power strengthened his body and helped him absorb the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm's energy.
  • Xiao Wu clung to Li Jin for his cooling presence as the whale glue strengthened her physique and raised her Soul Power from rank 11 to rank 13.
  • After an hour, Li Jin reached rank 15, opened his Ren and Du meridians, and discovered that his Soul Power circulation had formed a minor heavenly circuit.
  • Li Jin and Xiao Wu woke, teased each other, and left together after Xiao Wu announced her breakthrough.
  • Tang San went to Yu Xiaogang's residence hungry and found his teacher distressed by rumors about what happened when Tang San brought him home.
  • Yu Xiaogang gave Tang San a Gold Soul Coin from the money he had borrowed from the dean, and Tang San went to buy food for them.

Ch. 27Tang San's wager (free for members)

Tang San confronted Li Jin over the Twenty-Four Moonlit Bridges and proposed a wager to win it back. Xiao Wu attacked Tang San after he insulted her and challenged Li Jin, who joined the fight and used Spiritual Detection Sharing to scan Tang San and begin deciphering Purple Demon Eye.

  • Tang San returned to Dorm Seven and mistakenly thought Xiao Wu had gone to get a room with Li Jin, then insulted her and was mocked by the work-study students as the Fart King.
  • Tang San saw the Twenty-Four Moonlit Bridges on Li Jin and demanded it back, but Li Jin said he had paid 3,000 Gold Soul Coins and refused to return it.
  • Tang San offered to wager the belt in a fight, but Li Jin refused because Tang San had no stake to offer.
  • Xiao Wu activated Martial Soul Possession and attacked Tang San, who used Purple Demon Eye and Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track to evade her.
  • Li Jin activated Spiritual Detection Sharing, overwhelming Tang San's eyes, scanning his body, and beginning to decipher Purple Demon Eye.

Ch. 28Copied Them All

Xiao Wu defeated Tang San with Li Jin’s Spiritual Detection Sharing helping her anticipate his attacks, while Li Jin used the fight to copy Tang San’s Tang Sect Secret Arts. Tang San yielded but resolved to regain the Twenty-Four Moonlit Bridges and eventually defeat Xiao Wu.

  • Li Jin shared his Spiritual Detection with Xiao Wu, allowing her to predict Tang San’s Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track and strike his face.
  • Tang San used Blue Silver Entanglement and several Tang Sect Secret Arts to resist Xiao Wu while Li Jin rapidly recorded and deduced them.
  • Tang San exhausted his rank 11 Soul Power, and Xiao Wu used Waist Bow to throw him to the ground.
  • Xiao Wu warned Tang San not to disrespect her or provoke Li Jin, and Tang San admitted he was wrong.
  • Tang San privately planned to reclaim the Twenty-Four Moonlit Bridges from Li Jin and defeat Xiao Wu once he grew stronger.

Ch. 29A Poisonous Sore on His Back

Li Jin began using the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm to verify the Mysterious Heaven Skill’s Soul Power circulation, while Tang San struggled with worsening itching after absorbing the Mangy Snake Soul Ring. Tang San sought help from Yu Xiaogang, who discovered a poisonous sore on his back and insisted his theory could not be wrong.

  • Li Jin told Xiao Wu he planned to create his own Soul Skills, then had the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm simulate Tang San’s Mysterious Heaven Skill so he could check its circulation route.
  • Li Jin finished examining the cultivation method late at night and went to sleep beside Xiao Wu.
  • Tang San skipped class and went to Yu Xiaogang, explaining his fight with Xiao Wu and Li Jin and the loss of the Twenty-Four Moonlit Bridges.
  • Yu Xiaogang reassured Tang San that he could devise tactics against Li Jin and Xiao Wu, then noticed Tang San scratching his back.
  • Yu Xiaogang saw a poisonous sore on Tang San’s back and wondered why Tang San had inherited the Mangy Snake’s poison; when Tang San challenged his theory, Yu Xiaogang insisted it was correct.

Ch. 30Cultivating the Mysterious Heaven Skill

After Tang Hao, Yu Xiaogang, and Tang San were taken to a clinic with severe burns, Li Jin taught Xiao Wu the Mysterious Heaven Skill and began cultivating it himself. Their improved cultivation motivated them to train harder and prepare to defeat Tang San on their own next time, while he and the others remained unconscious.

  • The students watched Tang Hao, Yu Xiaogang, and Tang San being carried away, and the dean sent the crowd back to class.
  • Li Jin told Xiao Wu he had improved a cultivation method and promised to teach it to her; Wang Sheng shared that his Soul Power had reached rank ten and he would hunt a Soul Beast the next day.
  • During the afternoon free period, Li Jin taught Xiao Wu the Mysterious Heaven Skill in a grove, and they both began cultivating it.
  • Li Jin quickly transformed his Soul Power by circulating the skill, while Xiao Wu found that her cultivation efficiency had increased by at least thirty percent.
  • Li Jin and Xiao Wu vowed to train harder and defeat Tang San without relying on each other next time.
  • Tang Hao, Yu Xiaogang, and Tang San remained unconscious in the clinic as a physician treated their severe burns.
