Su Yu survived the Liu Family’s plots, rose to the Spirit Realm, and exposed its alliance with the Demon God Cult. The arc ended with him disabling the corpse puppet made from Su Daqiang and turning toward Liu Tianjue.
Su Yu defeated Liu Tianjue and the demon unleashed from the dry well, then set out for Tiannan Commandery while fighting the Demon God Cult, sect disciples, and bounty hunters. Forced into the Black Demon Mountain Range, he pursued Sha Qi and escaped deeper into its inner reaches with the Blood Baleful Intent Thorn as two powerful demons fought.
Su Yu advanced his cultivation, won a Monster rating in the Shadow Guard selection, and became an official Shadow Guard under the codename Blood Slaughter. Sent to investigate water demons in Qingjiang County, he exposed Wang Lin’s betrayal and killed the demons at Cloud Shadow Creek, where he faced a powerful shrimp demon.
Su Yu uncovered the Flying Fish Gang’s alliance with water demons and crushed the gang, its Demon God Cult allies, and Chen Yu. He left Yu County after ordering a purge of the corrupt, while the Chen Family’s threat and a surviving fish demon remained unresolved.
Su Yu strengthened his body-refining cultivation, killed Gu Li and the fox yao who invaded the Demonic Mist Forest, and acquired rare treasures at the Tiannan Auction. The arc ended with Lu Cang promoting him to demon-suppression captain and preparing to present his new uniform and saber.
Su Yu led the rescue of Nanhe County, destroyed Liu Qingyun and the Bone-Eroding Demon General, then survived an assassination attempt and hunted down Butcher. He entered the Black Demon Mountain Range, where a wounded fox demon and an Earth-Splitting Devil Bear pursued the Mystic Yang Dragon Heart Fruits.
Su Yu killed the assassins hunting him, entered Soul Severing Valley, and destroyed the Earth Realm demon hidden beneath it. After gaining new cultivation and techniques, he left Tiannan Commandery to answer Cang County’s distress signal.
Su Yu saved Lu Cang from Liu Ming’s formation and was summoned to Qing Province, where he entered the Blood-Colored Secret Realm. He claimed its treasures and fought its strongest challengers, ending with a demonic soul trapped in his thunder cage and under interrogation.
Su Yu secured protection from Duke Chen's Residence, strengthened his cultivation, and accepted a mission to investigate a planned blood sacrifice in the City of Calamity and Chaos. He recruited Sun Xin as an inside contact and hunted demons while awaiting the formation's activation, ending trapped under the thousand-year crocodile demon's attack.
Su Yu rescued Wu Lin and Hu Yuanyuan, grew strong enough to challenge Earth Realm opponents, and fought off Demon God Cult assassins while the Blood Sacrifice Grand Formation neared completion. He returned to the City of Calamity and Chaos and wounded Blood Cat, leaving the formation trembling as Sun Yao watched from below.
Su Yu killed the Bone-Eroding Demon General’s remnant soul and returned to Qing Province, then accompanied Zhao Chengkong to a manor divided over the Soul Control and Soul Fusion factions. As an elders’ meeting approached, Su Yu advanced his Spirit Refinement cultivation and uncovered evidence that the Soul Fusion Technique had created monsters in the Bone-Eroding Abyss.
Su Yu uncovered Zhao Wuji’s experiments in the Bone-Eroding Abyss, then destroyed the servants and formation sustaining him. Zhao Y ehan’s Blood River Grand Formation trapped Heavenly Evolution Mountain Manor, but the Azure Nether Ancient Flood Dragon devoured it, and Su Yu killed Zhao Wuji before helping defeat the Blood Baleful Intent Hall’s forces.
Su Yu advanced to the Earth Realm, destroyed the Mystic Sword Sect, and won the Acala Body at Xuankong Temple. After the Chen Family bargained with the Blood Baleful Intent Hall for his death, he took command of the Canglan War Zone and destroyed the water demon army outside Yanghe County.
Su Yu avenged the fallen towns, defeated the Bone-Eroding Demon General, and helped defend Canglan Commandery City before Jiao Guang’s dragon intent left his soul sealed and injured. He resumed his hunt across Qing Province, uncovered the Demon God Cult’s Blood Feeding Formation, and faced assassins sent by Chen Xiaotian and Zhou Tong.
Su Yu hunted the Blood Baleful Intent Hall while Yao Ming activated the Blood Spirit Formation beneath Duke Chen’s Residence, unleashing a blood demon and drawing Qing Province’s factions into battle. As Wang Du and the defenders fought the Chen clan, Su Yu’s attacks wiped out Zhou Tong’s teams, leaving Zhou Tong searching for the unknown hunter.
Su Yu fought through Chen Wei’s blood-spawned forces, rescued the captives, and defeated Chen Wei by uniting Buddhist essence with demonic baleful power. Chen Wei’s death revived the ancient creature inside the heart, and Wang Du arrived to face it despite his failing body.
Su Yu destroyed the Ancient Blood Demon Ancestor, mastered the Eightfold Heavenly Dragon Prison, and reached the Heaven Realm before heading to Xianyang. In Prison Suppression, he killed the Blackwater Alliance’s fighters and entered the God-Burial Land with Luo Yuan, where he faced Hei Sha.
Su Yu mastered the saber and thunder laws, defeated Hei Sha, and claimed Liu Sheng’s inheritance before hunting demons in the Thunder Marsh. After returning to Luo Yuan, he stopped Luo Cheng from killing Lei Yan and crushed Luo Cheng in a fight, leaving Luo Yuan to fear Su Yu’s next move.
Su Yu became a Five-Star Demon Suppression Envoy and suppressed the coastal demon attacks before Jiao Wu's forces captured his companions. With Elder Jiang protecting him, Su Yu invaded the Black Stone Sea to rescue them and killed Jing Tun inside the demons' trap.
Su Yu destroyed the Offspring of Gods and Devils, captured Jiao Wu, and swept through demon forces across Nan Province. As the demon kings threatened war over Jiao Wu, Su Yu reached Xianyang and learned that the Flood Dragon Emperor had demanded him by name.
