There was no countdown for this question; it seemed there was no time limit.
But even without a countdown, picking out the one Colored Egg containing a pet from among a million was still an extremely difficult task.
There was simply no standard for these Colored Eggs. Lin Shen and the others did not know what an egg containing a pet looked like, nor did they know what characteristics it had, so they had no idea how to choose.
If they relied on luck alone, the odds of one in a million were far too low. If they smashed one open and it was not the right one, would that not mean they were finished?
"There should be some standard, right? They cannot really expect us to rely on luck. What kind of test would that be?" Ouyang Yudu said.
"You're right. There should be a way to tell them apart. We need to find it instead of blindly gambling on luck." Lin Shen said with a bitter smile. "But there are simply too many. A million Colored Eggs—if we examine every detail one by one and compare them, who knows how long that would take?"
"Alive... dead..." Wei Wufu said.
"Old Wei might be onto something. Since only one Colored Egg contains a pet, that means only one egg is alive, while all the others are dead eggs. If we can sense life force, we should be able to tell which egg contains the pet." Lin Shen thought it over and felt that Old Wei's words made sense.
But Lin Shen was not skilled at sensing such things. Forget a million Colored Eggs—even if there were only the one in front of him, he would not know whether there was a living creature inside.
"I'll give it a try.
