Sea-Sky Battle

"No. Not dead. No. Planet," Wei Wufu said in a low voice.

"You mean this is another planet? In other words, that angel-like guy is an alien?" Lin Shen understood what Wei Wufu meant, but was even more astonished.

He had originally thought he was inside the hidden realm within Gourd Mountain. He had never expected that he had already left his own planet and arrived on another one.

"Yes." Wei Wufu answered with certainty, but his gaze remained fixed on the "angel" flying above the sea. Then he continued, "Heavenly beings. Dangerous."

"How did you know he's a heavenly being?" Lin Shen asked doubtfully.

"Before. Many. Dangerous. Universe. Humans. Very weak." Wei Wufu emphasized the word dangerous again.

What Wei Wufu meant was probably that he had seen many heavenly beings before, and they were extremely dangerous creatures. In the universe, humans were a very weak race.

"So you've been to other planets before, and quite a lot of them?" Lin Shen was increasingly shocked.

"Yes." Wei Wufu nodded again, his eyes still locked firmly on the angel above the sea.

"This world is far more complicated than I imagined." From afar, Lin Shen saw that the heavenly being also wore something black around his wrist. Though he could not make out the details, its general shape suggested that it was a Teleportation Device like the ones on their wrists.

People had long speculated that Gene Mutation Creatures were extraterrestrial lifeforms, but it had always remained mere speculation. Now, it seemed that it was not speculation at all. Those who knew the truth had simply chosen to conceal it for some unknown reason.

The heavenly being seemed to be searching for something across the sea. After flying back and forth several times, he apparently failed to find what he was looking for.

He lingered over the sea for quite some time. Just as Lin Shen thought he had found nothing and was about to fly away, the heavenly being stopped in midair.

"What's he doing?" Lin Shen saw the heavenly being straighten one arm, but the distance was too great for him to tell what the gesture meant.

Lin Shen looked at Wei Wufu. Wei Wufu shook his head, clearly not knowing what the heavenly being was doing either.

The two watched for a while before suddenly noticing the seawater beneath the heavenly being beginning to surge. The waves were far larger than before.

Suddenly, the waves exploded. A gigantic figure burst through the sea, leaping into the air and charging toward the heavenly being hovering above.

"A Crystal Grade Creature!" Lin Shen's mouth fell slightly open, stunned by the creature's enormous size and beauty.

Its entire body was azure, like a sea-blue gemstone. It resembled the crystal python from legends that could swallow the heavens, and the portion that had emerged from the sea was already dozens of meters long.

Under the sunlight, countless scales across that azure body refracted brilliant colors, dazzling and magnificent beyond compare.

With such a colossal body, who knew how many tons it weighed? Its momentum as it burst from the sea truly carried a hint of devouring the heavens and swallowing the sun.

Lin Shen could not help thinking, It's hard to imagine how a creature this huge could exist on a planet with such strong gravity. Shouldn't creatures be smaller on planets with stronger gravity? If I could find this giant python's Gene Mutation Egg and use the Boundless Strength Contract to form a Blood Contract with it, just how powerful would my strength become? What a pity.

The giant python opened its enormous jaws and swallowed at the heavenly being in the air. Compared to it, the heavenly being's body was pitifully small.

The next second, Lin Shen saw the white robe on the heavenly being's body tear apart. A jade-white substance rapidly seeped out from within his body, instantly wrapping around him and condensing into a white jade shell. Even the wings on his back were coated in an extremely thin layer of jade.

From afar, the heavenly being looked like an angel warrior statue carved from translucent white jade, sacred yet valiant.

With a beat of his wings, the heavenly being skimmed through the sky like a startled swan, and one white jade foot landed atop the giant python's head.

The giant python seemed to suffer a crushing blow. Its skyward charge collapsed with a thunderous crash, and it fell back into the sea, throwing up waves dozens of meters high.

The heavenly being pressed his advantage and charged toward the giant python in the water. Before he could reach it, a massive tail suddenly lashed out from the nearby waves and struck him viciously.

The heavenly being had no time to dodge. He raised both arms before him and forcibly endured the blow from the giant tail. His body immediately shot away like a cannonball, flying dozens of meters through the air before crashing into the sea.

"Hit by such terrifying force, even someone at the Crystal Gene Level couldn't withstand it, could they?" Lin Shen muttered.

The giant python rolled over and plunged beneath the surface as well. The seawater immediately churned more violently, countless turbulent currents twisting together and blasting up fountain-like columns of water, like volcanoes erupting one after another across the surrounding sea.

It seemed the heavenly being had not been killed. He was actually fighting the giant python beneath the sea.

"He clearly has wings, yet he's abandoning his advantage to fight that Crystal Gene Level Azure Python in the sea. Is he brainless, or is his strength already great enough to ignore the effects of the environment?" Lin Shen pondered.

"Strong," Wei Wufu said. It was unclear whether he meant the heavenly being or the giant python.

Segments of the giant python's body surfaced from time to time, but the heavenly being never emerged.

Then, amid the surging sea, a column of water over a hundred meters tall suddenly exploded upward, flinging the heavenly being's body out from within it.

The giant python burst through the waves in hot pursuit, opening its heaven-swallowing jaws and devouring the heavenly being whole in a single bite.

The heavenly being doesn't seem like much after all, Lin Shen thought.

But the next second, Lin Shen saw a huge hole explode open in the giant python's belly, and the heavenly being burst out through it.

Boom!

The giant python's body fell freely and smashed into the sea. Surging waves rushed onto the beach, flooding even the place where Lin Shen and Wei Wufu were hiding.

Fortunately, the waves came quickly and retreated quickly as well. Once the seawater receded, they saw the heavenly being dragging the giant python's body step by step onto the beach.

Perhaps the heavenly being had expended too much strength in battle, or perhaps the giant python's body was simply too heavy. Without the buoyancy of seawater supporting it, the heavenly being could not drag it any farther after pulling half of its body onto the shore.

Thud!

The heavenly being fell stiffly to the ground, landing on his back on the beach without moving.

Gene Mutation Fluid continued to flow from the hole in the giant python's belly, but the heavenly being still showed no reaction, as though he were dead.

"You. Stay. Me. Go." Wei Wufu braced himself with both hands and crawled toward the giant python's body.

Lin Shen roughly guessed that Wei Wufu wanted to drink the giant python's Gene Mutation Fluid. Perhaps that stuff could help heal his injuries.

After pondering for a moment, Lin Shen did not come out. He continued hiding behind the reef.

Wei Wufu crawled close, looked the heavenly being up and down for a moment, then crawled directly to the giant python's wound. Opening his mouth, he began drinking the blue Gene Mutation Fluid flowing from it.

"Friend, that is my prey. I don't recall inviting you to partake of my prey, did I?" A hoarse voice sounded behind Wei Wufu.

Wei Wufu turned his head and saw the heavenly being slowly climbing up from the ground, staring coldly at him as he spoke.
