All the Mushroom Beasts stopped moving, their eyes fixed straight on Lin Shen.
This bizarre scene made both Lin Shen and Wei Wufu stop as well, turning to look behind them.
At a glance, both of them froze.
The Mushroom Beasts behind them had likewise stopped attacking, including the Black Cap Mushroom Beast. The difference was that a pigeon as fat as a snowball stood atop its mushroom cap.
The Black Cap Mushroom Beast stood there without moving. Its glowing mushroom cap had returned to its original black, and Lin Shen seemed to see that its expression had gone stiff, the corner of its eye twitching uncontrollably.
"Fei Zai, what's going on?" Lin Shen was both shocked and delighted. For a moment, he could not figure out what this strange white bird he had raised had done to make the entire herd of Mushroom Beasts stop attacking.
What was certain was that those Mushroom Beasts had not lost their ability to move. Every one of them glared furiously at Fei Zai atop the Black Cap Mushroom Beast's head, their eyes seemingly about to spit fire, yet not a single one charged forward.
"Coo... coo..." Fei Zai made pigeon-like sounds, and the Black Cap Mushroom Beast beneath its claws suddenly began moving.
Lin Shen and Wei Wufu both instinctively backed away, only to discover that the Black Cap Mushroom Beast was not charging at them. Instead, it walked forward step by step, not very quickly.
The Mushroom Beasts ahead slowly moved aside to make a path, though they continued glaring at them furiously.
"What was this supposed to be? Taking a hostage?" Lin Shen and Wei Wufu followed the Black Cap Mushroom Beast as it moved through the herd.
Wherever they went, the Mushroom Beasts reluctantly made way. Even the two
