History

Life in Holy Soul Village

After Ah Yin’s death, Tang Hao hid in Holy Soul Village with Tang San, carrying grief and hatred over the loss. Spirit Hall continued searching for Tang Hao, unsuccessfully, for six years 7 10.

Tang Hao worked as a blacksmith but spent much of the time drinking, neglected commissions, and depended on Tang San for meals. Tang San survived on poor food, while Tang Hao neither attended the child’s Martial Soul Awakening nor allowed cultivation afterward 1 5 6.

Old Jack eventually confronted Tang Hao over this neglect, smashed the wine jar, and condemned the decision to obstruct a child who possessed innate full Soul Power 5.

Transformation and Reconciliation

Luo Li proposed using his Catgirl Facial Cleanser to turn Tang Hao into a healthier, more caring “catgirl mommy.” Tang San agreed out of concern for the parent’s health. While Tang San heated water, Old Jack applied the cleanser herself and rinsed Tang Hao with cold well water, completing the transformation 5 6.

The physical change did not immediately stop Tang Hao from drinking. However, another confrontation with Old Jack prompted an intense recognition of the harm done to Tang San. Standing in the rain, Tang Hao admitted failing both Ah Yin and their child, then resolved to support Tang San’s ambition to become a Soul Master 6.

Tang San overheard this confession and embraced Tang Hao in the rain. After learning that Luo Li’s Martial Soul had transformed both parent and child, Tang Hao became grateful to him and began treating Tang San as a daughter 7.

Guiding Tang San and Luo Li

Tang Hao offered to take both children to the Star Dou Great Forest for their first Soul Rings. Before departure, Yu Xiaogang arrived seeking disciples and revealed Tang San’s twin Martial Souls. Tang Hao recognized the inherited Clear Sky Hammer but concealed her own identity when Yu Xiaogang mistook her for Tang Hao’s partner 7 9 10.

When Yu Xiaogang recommended cultivating poison through Blue Silver Grass, Tang Hao intervened. She sensed the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline in Tang San’s Martial Soul, rejected his proposed path, and eventually expelled him from the smithy with a wave of her arm 11 12.

Under Tang Hao’s guidance, Tang San obtained Blue Silver Rejuvenation Powder, a first Soul Skill providing healing and recovery. Tang Hao then researched Luo Li’s cleanser and concluded that it could remove Martial Soul impurities and replenish deficiencies, describing him as a “god-level evolution-type Soul Master” 13.

Frozen Forest Expedition

Drawing on knowledge learned from Ah Yin, Tang Hao selected a snow lotus as the most suitable source for Luo Li’s first Soul Ring. She expected its cleansing properties to strengthen the cleanser’s purification effects 15.

In the Frozen Forest, Tang Hao cooperated with Skywater Academy, whose teachers knew where snow lotuses grew. She subdued an Extreme Cold Echo Deer herd without releasing her Martial Soul and retrieved a roughly three-hundred-year-old snow lotus for Luo Li 21 22.

After trying the cleanser produced by Luo Li’s First Soul Skill, Tang Hao meditated on changes in her body. Tang San’s injury from Shui Yue’er’s reflexive attack interrupted this examination and provoked a murderous response. Luo Li temporarily calmed Tang Hao with cleanser foam, allowing her to investigate 22 24.

Once Tang Hao learned that Tang San had grabbed Shui Yue’er’s tail first, she punished her daughter and demanded an apology. The punishment continued until Fang Yuan intervened and Shui Yue’er took a slipper blow intended for Tang San 24 25.

Plans in Heaven Dou City

Tang Hao next brought the children to Heaven Dou City, intending to visit Tang Yuehua and recruit the Strength Clan chief, Tai Tan. She believed the cleanser could help Tai Tan become a Titled Douluo and attract other former Clear Sky Sect subordinate clans 27.

While Tang Hao was away buying clothes, Tang San secretly visited the Strength Clan and was subsequently abducted by Heaven Dou Auction House personnel. Tang Hao had not returned to the hotel by the time Luo Li noticed Tang San’s prolonged absence 27 29 30.

Appearance

  • Before transformation: Filthy and unkempt, with habits reflecting prolonged drinking and neglect 5.
  • Face and skin: After transformation, possesses a striking, coldly beautiful face and smooth, fair skin with a rosy complexion 6.
  • Hair: Long, disheveled dark hair threaded with silver; a later description emphasizes its gray appearance 6 12.
  • Cat features: Large ears that droop with sorrow or perk up with interest, and a long, thick tail 6 7.
  • Build: A heavily curvaceous figure whose exceptionally large chest strains her old clothes and makes familiar poses, such as folding her arms, difficult 6 13 22.
  • Voice: A low, smoky female voice following the transformation 6.

Personality

Tang Hao’s early behavior is dominated by grief, avoidance, and alcohol dependence. Drinking fails to erase memories of Ah Yin, yet Tang Hao continues using it to withdraw from parental responsibilities. The transformation and Old Jack’s criticism bring that neglect into focus rather than instantly erasing the underlying sorrow 5 6 12.

After reconciling with Tang San, Tang Hao becomes affectionate, protective, and eager to provide a better future. She studies a Handbook for a Virtuous Wife and Loving Mother while gradually learning to care for the children more attentively. Nevertheless, her habitual response to disagreement remains forceful and impatient 7 13.

Her protectiveness coexists with harsh physical discipline. Drawing on memories of her own parents’ punishments, Tang Hao believes fear and pain can correct dangerous behavior. She acknowledges that Luo Li provoked Tang San but treats Tang San’s severe bite as an unacceptable threat to his life 18 19.

Ah Yin remains central to Tang Hao’s emotional life. Luo Li’s unusual potential gives her renewed hope of resurrection, sometimes to the point of fixation. She wants to restore the family while preparing the children to face Spirit Hall 14 15 16.

Abilities & Skills

Titled Douluo Strength

Tang Hao retains formidable combat power after becoming a catgirl 7 22.

  • Possesses a Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring 7.
  • Sends Yu Xiaogang flying from the smithy with a light arm movement 12.
  • Releases pressure that overwhelms Skywater Academy’s teachers and students; they recognize her as a powerful senior without identifying her exact rank 22.
  • Defeats an Extreme Cold Echo Deer herd without manifesting her Martial Soul. The herd’s extreme-cold sound attacks have little effect on her 22.

Clear Sky Hammer

The Clear Sky Hammer is Tang Hao’s Martial Soul and the source of Tang San’s inherited second Martial Soul 10.

  • Tang Hao understands its considerable demands and side effects, shaping her plans for Tang San’s future support 15.
  • She worries that her transformed body’s proportions could interfere with movement and hammer handling; no demonstrated loss of combat strength is established 15 22.

Divine Slaughter’s Domain

Tang Hao possesses the Divine Slaughter’s Domain, associated with berserk killing intent 13.

  • Tang Yuehua’s domain can counter its violent influence 13.
  • Tang Hao later interprets this interaction as cleansing away killing intent rather than merely suppressing it 13.

Martial Soul Research and Mentorship

Tang Hao combines practical experience, books, and knowledge from Ah Yin to guide the children 13 15.

  • Detects the Blue Silver Emperor presence in Tang San’s apparently ordinary Blue Silver Grass 11.
  • Guides Tang San’s first Soul Ring acquisition, resulting in a healing and recovery skill 13.
  • Develops the theory that Luo Li’s cleanser can purify and improve Martial Souls 13 14.
  • Selects a snow lotus for Luo Li’s first Soul Ring and considers having him learn from Tang Yuehua’s domain technique 15.
  • Predicts that Luo Li could eventually help revive Ah Yin; this remains a hope rather than a demonstrated ability 14 16.
  • Grabbing Tang Hao’s tail causes pronounced physical weakness and an overwhelming sensory response 17.
  • Even her Titled Douluo strength does not prevent the cleanser’s initial transformation 7.
  • Luo Li’s snow-lotus-enhanced cleanser can briefly reduce her furious killing intent, but his low Soul Power limits its effectiveness against her 24.

Relationships

  • Tang San — Biological child, originally raised as a son and later treated as a daughter. Their reconciliation restores closeness, though Tang Hao’s severe punishments repeatedly leave Tang San feeling unsupported 6 7 18 25.
  • Ah Yin — Deceased wife and Tang San’s mother. Tang Hao mourns her continually and hopes Luo Li’s future abilities can resurrect her 7 14 16.
  • Luo Li — Benefactor, student, and prospective son-in-law. Tang Hao credits him with helping repair the family, encourages a match with Tang San, and protects the value of his cleanser when negotiating with Skywater Academy 7 26.
  • Tang Yuehua — Younger sister. Tang Hao plans to visit her in Heaven Dou City and hopes her domain expertise can benefit Luo Li 13 15 27.
  • Old Jack — Village chief who condemns Tang Hao’s neglect and personally administers the cleanser responsible for her transformation 5 6.
  • Yu Xiaogang — Rejected prospective teacher for the children. Tang Hao opposes his cultivation advice and forcibly expels him while keeping her identity concealed 10 11 12.
  • Tai Tan — Strength Clan chief whom Tang Hao intends to recruit and strengthen through the cleanser; the recruitment has not occurred in the supplied chapters 27.
  • Spirit Hall — Enemy faction pursuing Tang Hao. She anticipates its hidden experts and plans for the children to become strong enough to oppose it 10 15.
