Clang, clang, bang.
The coffin-lid-like cover was pushed open, and something resembling a robot sat up from within.
However, this body was not powered by electricity. Embedded in its abdomen was a soul crystal with dim light flowing through it.
"Is this the Old World?" Linden raised his head and looked at the pitch-black sky overhead. "It really is... deathly silent."
Other than himself, there was not a single sound around him.
Was this what a normal world looked like after it died?
Linden moved his mechanical body a little before standing up. Before him lay an endless array of coffins, just like in the footage. Inside the Computing Furnace, though there had been a few twists and turns, Linden had ultimately seized the authority of the Ark's [Administrator] through the sheer overwhelming mass of his soul, just as expected.
However, rather than immediately restarting the world as the Demon King and Link had planned, Linden used his Administrator authority to come outside the Ark first. He casually opened a "coffin" beside him. There was no corpse inside, only a dull, lightless soul crystal.
These things containing souls were probably the last things in the Old World that could still glow.
Using his authority, Linden began browsing the information on the soul crystal before him.
[Soul Number: 00237477162] [Name in First Reincarnation: Kriel] [Name in Second Reincarnation: Moga Yura] [Name in Fourteenth Reincarnation: Everett Cole]
A reincarnation was a trip through the Computing Furnace. Each reincarnation could also be viewed separately, with records of that life's experiences.
On a whim, Linden tried searching for the core members in his consciousness and, sure enough, found their corresponding numbers.
Inanna was on her sixth reincarnation, Piggy on her ninth, Norris on his fifteenth... No wonder their talents were so poor.
