Dean’s defeat left the Fungal Fortress expanding while dragons emerged from Dragon Cliff Dungeon and the Empire descended into civil war. The Demon King killed Mortis, reclaimed the throne, and moved against the Fungal Carpet, while Eleanor fled to Happy Paradise and fell into Louisa’s hands.

• Gray chose to go to Dragon Horn Fortress, but Dean arrived after the fortress fell and its defenders were overwhelmed.
• The Fungal Fortress absorbed conquered territories as Linden prepared for further expansion, while Xize witnessed the punishment of captured nobles and slave owners.
• Mortis seized control of the Empire and confronted the returning dragons, while Little Black and Linden fought dragons and advanced her Ancient Dragon Path.
• Lorenzo, Inanna, Number Nine, and Fifteen faced dragon attacks, and Fifteen was transported into Dragon Cliff Dungeon before returning to the campsite badly injured.
• Darean and Vesalius began a civil war as the Demon King confronted Mortis, survived Mortis’s Stealing Ritual, and killed him with the same ritual.
• The Demon King regained the throne, accepted the submission of imperial leaders, and ordered cities to build Slime Controllers against the Fungal Carpet.
• Gray accepted Dean’s Magic Core and leadership of the Demon Descendants, while the Demon King moved to protect Eleanor’s territory from a despairing illusion.
• The Demon King rescued people from three cities but found another destroyed, while Eleanor fled to Happy Paradise and Louisa captured her and agreed to keep her alive.

Linden’s forces fought their way into Kees’s territory while the Demon King consolidated power and the Fungal Fortress expanded its reach. The fighting in the Trench escalated when Kees unleashed a Flesh Pillar and five dragons attacked the Ji God Soldier.

• Owen reunited with his sister Alice at the Fungal Fortress and learned they could earn Contribution Points to restore her hands.
• The Demon King entered Sigismund’s mind to investigate his roommate, a giant Puji soul, but the soul resisted and escaped suppression.
• Linden confronted the Demon King in his mental sea, identified him as the Fungal Lord’s enemy, and kept the Demon King’s [Envy] fragment sealed for study.
• Little Black defeated a Green Dragon, while Bretta challenged dwarven leaders to protect parasitized dwarves and negotiate with the Fungal Fortress.
• Cave Four stopped Swergis’s kobold army, and Number Ten later brought Swergis to Puji Dungeon, where Linden converted the kobolds through mycelium symbiosis.
• The Demon King refused a marriage alliance, ordered Skall detained, and conquered the Imperial Capital, ending the Aurelian Dynasty.
• Norris found mermaids trapped in Kees’s territory and reunited with Elwin, who revealed himself as Sword Saint Puji before Linden arrived to organize an attack on Kees.
• Linden’s forces descended into the Trench and fought Kees’s Flesh Carpet, but five dragons emerged from a seabed fissure and attacked the Ji God Soldier as Sophia saw Kees Heart’s Panel.

Linden defeated Kees, formed an alliance with the United Kingdom, and prepared the Fungal Fortress for the mist’s renewed advance. As the mist swallowed Sephiria and Linden’s group, conflict over Mycelium spread through the Dwarven clans, leaving Baduo captured by Mofulei.

• Kees’s Abyssal powers overwhelmed the sea defenses until Linden used Envy to free its controlled creatures, and Kees died after admitting it had wanted to replace him.
• Linden absorbed Kees’s remains and gained levels, but the Demon King’s seal shattered and the Slime escaped as Sophia’s survivors were rescued.
• Elwin revealed himself as the resurrected Sword Saint Puji, and Linden met with human leaders who agreed to oppose the Empire and the mist.
• Alama toured the Fungal Fortress, and the United Kingdom and Fungal Fortress officially formed an alliance.
• Linden and Norris exposed Eleanor’s abuses to the crowd and executed her, while Piggy and Thirteen drained her Blood Power to help Louisa advance.
• The mist swallowed Sephiria, Sarah, Lillian, and Linden in an illusion aboard a ghost ship, but Gugulu arrived with the Scepter of the Ocean and drove back the Water Ghosts.
• As the mist advanced, Baduo’s squad attacked Azra, but the Great Dragon interrupted the fight, and the wounded Baduo was rescued by Dwarves who used Mycelium.
• Baduo returned to Forgefire Capital to confront the Dwarf King, but Bretta led him into a trap, where Mofulei had him charmed and ordered his Mycelium removed.

As the Mist engulfed cities and the Empire and Demon Race attacked, Linden’s forces fought to defend the Mushroom Capital and the United Kingdom. The Mushroom Capital repelled Darean’s assault, but Valerice emerged fused with an Abyss Beast and charged toward the First Mycelium.

• Linden identified mutations among mycelium-parasitized people as the Self-Study Phenomenon while Inanna and Norris took Ailala into their care.
• The Mist swept across the coast and engulfed cities, while Inanna and Cave Four fought Mad Wolf and escaped a collapsing Mist Illusion.
• Linden’s forces defeated the Dwarf armies and captured Mofulei, but Baduo killed her before the Pujis could seize her alive.
• Vera and Feiling fought through the Mist at Lal Fortress, where Levi’s Empire forces captured the city and Feiling was killed, then Linden revived her in a Puji body.
• The Empire attacked across the United Kingdom as Linden sent three Fungal Legions toward its strongholds and the Demon Race threatened the Mushroom Capital.
• Darean’s army attacked the Mushroom Capital, but the defenders and Third Fungal Legion drove it back after Linden raised captured Blood Clan members as a War Banner.
• Norris’s squad found a deserted city near Twilight Castle, where Valerice revealed herself fused with an Abyss Beast and charged toward the First Mycelium.
