• Zoro identified the tremors near Ryugu Palace as shock waves coming from above, and the Straw Hat Pirates suspected Xia Chen had caused them.
• Jinbe and Fukaboshi asked the Straw Hat Pirates to rescue Neptune, whom Hody had captured and planned to execute at Gyoncorde Plaza.

Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates fought Hody’s forces while Neptune and Fukaboshi watched in amazement at the crew’s strength. Meanwhile, Xia Chen battled a golden ancient robot with Admiral-level Haki, and the robot began powering up after threatening to kill him.

• Luffy knocked Hody flying again, then charged into the battle after Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp rushed the Fish-Men.
• Nami used her lightning attack on Brook and the Fish-Man pirates after Brook asked to see her and Robin’s panties.

• Hody swallowed more Energy Steroids after Luffy knocked him down, but Jinbe pointed out that Hody’s forces and officers were being defeated.

• Vegito knelt before Xia Chen and swore loyalty after seeing Xia Chen's strength.
• Vegito said his memories had been erased eight hundred years ago and that he only remembered the Great Kingdom, its technology, and his former master Joy Boy.
• Vegito opened his cockpit and explained that Xia Chen could control him by matching movements on a circular platform.
• Xia Chen struck a pose and shouted that he would combine with Gundam.
• At Gyoncorde Plaza, Hody held a crying Shirahoshi at knifepoint while Neptune, Jinbe, and the others watched in alarm.
• Jinbe angrily demanded that Hody stop mistreating Shirahoshi.

Hody held Shirahoshi hostage and revealed that he had killed Queen Otohime, while Shirahoshi confessed she had known the truth for years. As Hody slashed at Shirahoshi, an unseen attacker pierced his chest, giving Sanji the chance to reach her.

• Hody threatened Shirahoshi with a blade, and Sanji rushed toward him before Jinbe stopped him from risking her life.
• Hody admitted to Neptune and the others that he had killed Queen Otohime and planned to kill Shirahoshi.

At sea, Xia Chen and the Straw Hats rescued an injured man, whom Xia Chen identified as former Marine Admiral Zephyr, also known as Z.

• Baron Tamago and Pekoms reported to Big Mom that Fish-Man Island was under the Straw Hat Pirates’ protection and that they had encountered Xia Chen.
• Big Mom told her crew to leave Fish-Man Island alone, then learned that her forces had claimed twenty percent of Whitebeard’s former territory while Kaido took thirty percent and Whitebeard’s remnants kept fifty percent.
• Big Mom scolded her crew for letting Kaido seize more territory and warned them not to lose to him again.
• While sunbathing aboard the Thousand Sunny, Xia Chen and the Straw Hats spotted an injured man floating in the sea.

• Xia Chen asked Zephyr whether he considered himself Zephyr or Z, and Zephyr firmly answered that he was Z.
• Xia Chen told the awakened Zephyr to leave the ship, but Usopp's warning that he was a former Marine Admiral angered Zephyr and prompted him to attack Xia Chen.
• Xia Chen used his Freeze ability to stop Zephyr's fist inches from his face, and Zephyr recognized him as Xia Chen the Sovereign.

• Xia Chen watched Aokiji fight Zephyr and decided Secon Island was worth protecting because of his attachment to it.
• Aokiji gradually overwhelmed Zephyr, who fell after a blow to the chest, and froze Ain, Binz, and Zephyr’s other subordinates when they charged to save him.
• Zephyr broke free of the ice and attacked Aokiji again, but Aokiji resolved to stop holding back and defeated him with his ice powers.
• As Zephyr lay mortally wounded, he asked Aokiji to spare Ain and the others, and Aokiji promised not to kill them.

The Thousand Sunny reached Punk Hazard, whose ruined research facility led Xia Chen to recognize it despite the island’s changed landscape. After Nami objected to landing because of the poison gas, Xia Chen said he could protect the crew, and they prepared to go ashore.

• Zoro cut through the locked iron gate, and the group entered the island’s ruined buildings.
• Usopp guessed that a failed secret experiment might have caused the poison gas and destruction.
• A dragon attacked the group, but Xia Chen blocked its blast and killed it with a finger strike.
• Xia Chen revealed that Vegapunk had created the dragon to guard the island, and Franky praised Vegapunk’s work.

Monet watched Xia Chen kill a dragon on Punk Hazard and reported his unexpected arrival to Doflamingo. Xia Chen then met Kin'emon, who mistook the Straw Hat Pirates for enemies while searching for his son, Momonosuke, and clashed with Zoro.

• Monet saw Xia Chen notice the Visual Den Den Mushi and called Doflamingo to report his presence.

• Kin'emon rushed toward the group, demanded to know where Momonosuke was, and attacked them with his sword.

Zoro fought Kin'emon, who mistook him for the thief who stole Wano Country’s national treasure, Shusui, and attacked him. As the crew watched, Xia Chen revealed he wanted to help Kin'emon find his son, Momonosuke, for a matter he called both life-and-death and minor.

• Kin'emon recognized Zoro’s Shusui and accused him of stealing it and Lord Ryuma’s body, then launched another attack.
